Why do they always move people from accidents in car wrecks in drama's? Especially for dramatic effect. Unless they are dead on impact (sorry for the bluntness), any small movement could cause further injury or death. If she had a head or spinal injury it risks worsening it. Ughh I hate it when drama sense doesn't make sense. Leave them in place unless something is about to explode and you need to get them out quick. Call an ambulance idiot. Don't let the emotions take over, think about her safety. I'm not hating on Rain, just the stereotypical script writing. My recurring issue with drama's sometimes lol, honestly... in any case this looks promising. Krystal is awesome!
If this drama wants to stand out uniquely, Sang Hyo would end up with Sung Gyeom. This maybe ideally speaking, of course. But it has some good ingredients to make that possible, seeing as this show has been quite un-predictable. However, If Sang Hyo genuinely ends up with Hae Young I hope it's not going to be drawn out right until the last episode. I hope the mysteries keep flowing, I feel like there needs to be more suspense. Overall, I can't wait to see Sang Hyo's reaction next week when she realizes that the murder in the suite bathroom wasn't a dream. If I was her I'd be super upset that they played me like a fool to get me to go on the honeymoon. I can just imagine their defenses, one being "well, we didn't want to shock you further seeing as you fainted and all..." rightttt. Not cool.
It'll be great to see Rain back on the K-Drama screen after a very long time! The premise looks interesting, and Krystal was brilliant in Heirs; she was one of the only characters I could stand (I hope she's just as sassy/and or strong in this portrayal). My only hope is that this drama is refreshingly different from a ridiculous ambivalent male lead that is torn between falling in love, but refusing to acknowledge it until the last minute (in the mean time, hurting the main girl lead). So I hope this drama does execute a unique atmosphere where the romance doesn't overwhelm the main premise, which I'm looking forward to, and that's the music aspect of this series. Overall, looking forward to the premiere!
I have a Pomeranian EXACTLY like Barassi! They're soooo adorable, makes me happy to see a Pom on a drama :) I really have enjoyed watching this series! The food looks so gooood (I'm craving Korean food now!), and I love Soo Kyung's nail art! The only thing I'm not liking about the drama is the overtness towards Attorney Oh. I love her confidence and boldness as a woman, but that even seems to be belittled by the characters around her, and I find that dehumanizing. I'm half way through the series so I hope that changes; it's really disheartening to see Attorney Oh being used for part of the comedy in this series just as that "ugly" woman that thinks she's "popular and beautiful" that's the vibe I get anyway, it's just cheap humour and sarcasm if you ask me. I think Attorney Oh is a fabulous diva in many ways lol. Anyway, my opinion, but I was surprised that this "random" drama I picked out is a hidden gem.
I totally didn't realize he was the a**hole husband in A Thousand Kisses when I started watching Let's Eat! I knew I saw him acting somewhere else, and that's when I remembered after searching on MDL lol he's very handsome. ^^
I would love to see her in the main cast of a drama series. She's really talented! She was realllly great in Secret Love, and hilarious in Let's Eat. I'll definitely have to check out more drama's she's been in!
Every time someone says "let's never see each other again" in a drama I honestly always roll my eyes, and this time it's not any different for Sang Hyo and Hae Young. That line always destines stupid couples with unresolved feelings to meet again. It happened twice already in the latest episode. I wonder what will happen next!!?
It's still in talks though (as far as Shin Hye and Jong Suk are concerned)!! And to be honest I have mixed feelings about the pairing. I could totally be wrong and if they end up both acting in this series and give a surprisingly good performance (since 'm unsure about how their characters would interact) then koodos to them. I love Lee Jong Suk, he has an incredibly good acting style, I'm always drawn into his characters. As for Park Shin Hye, I really loved her in Flower Boy Next Door, but insofar as her other projects I'm wary about whether or not she has a strong versatility in acting like other actresses. It might take a leap of faith, for me, to stick to watching this drama if she signs a contract to act in it. All in all, I hope this drama is different from all Shin Hye's other roles, it does say melodrama so here's hoping that it'll turn out well. Looking forward to the series anyway since Park Hye Ryun is the screenwriter (whom also wrote one of my favourite drama's: I Hear Your Voice)
Seriously.... first you slap her then you ask her to apologize while kneeling... what the hell was Sang Hyo supposed to do? Canvas the ceiling foundation to make sure dead bodies wouldn't fall out of the sky randomly and ruin the wedding? Lol that bride is toooooo ridiculously selfish. I'd be petrified that a dead body appeared, not that my wedding was ruined. You can always have another ceremony; a person was murdered. Dayum.
Omo there seems to be plenty of secrets in the Secret Hotel, I guess the title is not so dramatically coincidental... lol I didn't see that double entendre coming....
Very impressed by the first 2 episodes; the cinematography is beautiful. I like the flow of the camera, and the flashback scenes are gorgeous; the use of lighting is lovely. I can't wait to see what happens next! There seems to be a misunderstanding between the two leads, very curious. I wonder what happened 7 years ago that ended their relationship, they keep mentioning that neither one of them waited, hmmm...
Last episode was great and I love Jae Yeol and Hye Soo, but I honestly think them having sex is a little too early.…
I was actually surprised by Hye Soo's bold move! But I think that's what makes this drama different; the unpredictable nature, so I'm happy it keeps me surprised. I agree with you in the sense that I felt like the "big" moment of making love could have happened a little later on after they went through some more trials and hurdles in their relationships concerning their mental health wounds just so that being together would feel more secure for the both of them. Then again, because they had sex earlier in the show, I think it will spice up the rest of the series, if not add emotional depth, because that was a huge deal for the both of them: Hye Soo slowly overcoming her sexual trauma/phobia and anxiety, and then Jae Yeol opening himself up to a partner/being vulnerable with them. I can sense some tension in the air in terms of old wounds appearing up on Jae Yeol's end, and maybe we'll see more of Hye Soo's story as well, but all I know is the moment when those two got it on in Okinawa that was a forecast for an uphill battle from there on, I hope they can make it through whatever drama lies ahead, just my opinion ^^
Is it just me or does Jo In Sung remind anyone of Jang Geun Suk (or vice versa)? I mean, they are about five years a part, so I'm only saying that In Sung seems a little older/maturer in a sense, but wow, I notice it often when In Sung smiles playfully; it reminds me of Geun Suk, maybe it's more of a familiarity than them actually looking a bit alike lol sorry if this was already commented on, just my opinion ^^ But I must say I just marathoned the first 8 episodes and I'm ridiculously addicted to this series! I love Gong Hyo Jin's work, and even though The Master's Sun is one of my favourites, It's Okay, That's Love could be a contender for being my favourite drama :)
I've seen the first two episodes of this, gotta say, not very impressed. I was expecting a light-hearted fun drama,…
I guess it depends what you define as cheesy and pitiful I suppose? The first 2 episodes were enjoyable to me; kind of fluffy in order to establish the main dilemma/event at the beginning of the story, which is Mi Young's pregnancy. I've honestly found it to be super funny at least, and it has a great pace (since I'm up to date with the episodes). I do think around episode 3 and 4 (for me) is when I finally settle into this drama. When you have more characters come in, and more subplots form (it gets dramatic, but well balanced dramatics), and it becomes interesting when Mi Young and Gun are finally interacting with their families and certain events that unfold (which won't spoil) which overall really make it a fun romcom. I know drama's that don't pull you in on the first episode can be difficult to continue, but I'm really loving the chemistry of the main leads, and the plot isn't caddy, redundant, or superficial. I just wish I waited until all episodes were out lol point being: it does get better, in my opinion ^^
I have a few things to let off my chest about those Daniel (haters?) out there (if that's what you want to call…
Thank you ^^ I agree! There was just a lot of suffering going on, and I felt that would have bee an opportunity to get closer, but sometimes loss can drive people a part. MY and Gun both did their best, so we'll see what happens ^^ All in all, my heart really goes out to Daniel. Especially in the later episodes, you can tell he truly cares for Mi Young. He seems genuinely emotionally invested in her, and has supported her/given her time to heal and reflect about her life. Who wouldn't fall in love with him lol he's really charming! I hope he finds his sister soon so he can find some happiness out of this situation (:
I have a few things to let off my chest about those Daniel (haters?) out there (if that's what you want to call it lol ^^). It really bothers me when people drop nasty comments about a decent human being in this drama land just because he doesn't fit the normative second lead trope. First off, Daniel has always been there to support Mi Young; he's even given her advice about her relationship with Gun, and has numerous times tried to make her feel good about herself. Even telling Gun that he needs to be careful about loosing Mi Young, and treating her like the precious treasure she is I give him props for. Up to this point, Daniel has been protecting her from what I think Daniel believes is going to hurt Mi Young: Gun. Now, I love Gun, and it's been clear that everyone in this drama has their flaws; it's in human nature. But what I find refreshing about Daniel is how genuine he is, and he certainly is only trying to ensure that Mi Young is safe and healthy. Inviting her to France on the pretense of helping her heal her wounds from loosing a baby, and perhaps founding her innate artistic talent was nothing but heroic. Even if he loves her, it doesn't mean he's "stealing" her away from Gun. Mi Young is a grown woman, she can make her decisions, and she did wait for Gun and did ask him up until the last minute if he would like to start over, so please give the whole blame Daniel for getting in between their relationship because that's false. I'm sure Daniel knows better (knowing Mi Young's selfless personality) to take advantage of her, as he's said previously that he doesn't like it when she doesn't treat herself better, or when others are walking all over her. Mi Young needs to form her identity outside of just Gun and baby land, even though it's heart breaking all the same, I think the reason for her venture off for three years was to reclaim her independence and confidence in order to re-assert herself as a Mi Young that is nothing but extraordinary, and not a post-it girl. She's her own person, and Daniel has been nothing but courteous, like a freaking Fairy Godmother if you ask me. Of course this is my opinion, but I have nothing to hate about any of these characters, even when they end up succumbing to their own insecurities and pain. At this point, I do understand why Mi Young and Gun are fated to be with one another, especially now that time has passed. I feel horribly for Daniel since I'm defending his character, but after all this time if those two still love each other then I do think they deserve a lot of happiness!
Aside from Gun's new MUCH NEEDED hair style, I am excited to see Mi Young's emotional transformation. Mi Young's hair is unique as well! I don't know how I feel about Daniel's hair cut, I liked his previous hair colour lol this show makes people passionate about hair styles I see...
As much as I'm enjoying this, shame on Lee Gun for betraying his girlfriend Se Ra by marrying Mi Young, and that…
I am quite an agnostic person, if anything I'm spiritual. So I'm not grabbing a biblical text for reference (just to be clear). Nor have I or do I scorn or discriminate against anyone religious or those that believe in a form of God (I am very open minded, and I hope people that identify as religious will extend the same courtesy). I also happen to be a person, and a woman, who strongly believes that the personal is political and the political is personal: bringing in religion to legitimize and or delegitimize a person's right to the autonomy (ownership) of their own body is wrong in the case where it is plainly misogynistic. Like for instance, blaming a "woman" for having an abortion. I hate to burst any bubbles, but that "baby" in the most scientific, non-emotive description possible is not a complete citizen and it should not have more rights to "live" then the person carrying it. What Mi Young did was far from selfish: given Korean (East Asian cultures) are vastly different; she was doing what she has a right to do: her body, her choice. I like this story because it is non-normative. And to say that having a miscarriage doesn't deserve sympathy because she wanted to abort the fetus in the first place is messed up, and I'm shivering thinking that something as painful as that doesn't deserve the utmost empathy. Also, to say a woman isn't a human being if she aborts a child is deplorable and dehumanizing, and unjust. Sure everyone has the right to believe in pro life or pro choice debates about abortions, but to state that it's never right (even in the case if it was sexual assault, young age, or a danger to a woman's life for instance) is wrong. For Mi Young, if she wasn't prepared to have that baby in her life, given ALL the circumstances which she elaborated on, it's her decision. On another note, there's the concept of marriage, which is an institution which has regulated and confined women for centuries cross-culturally into essentialist expectations of motherhood and wifehood. I'm not hating against people bearing, having, and raising kids because I love my mother, but I will say that marriage is not for everyone. I don't believe one has to marry anyone in their life or stay in a marriage if they chose to do so. Should you stay with a spouse if they're violent physically/emotionally/etc, if they are cheating on you? (just to name a few). Marriage can be beautiful, it was form a wonderful partnership for people. I know people engaged, those that have been re-married, and people happily married. BUT not all those people are religious, nor are they jaded enough to believe that divorce doesn't exist. I've seen what an unhappy marriage does to people, I have experience, and it's not healthy staying in a relationship with someone who is abusive, or who treats you like trash. It disgusts me when people push married couples to stay together just because of their religion or their vows. That might be my strong opinion, but a marriage that's a disaster and not filled with love only hurts more in the end. Lastly, about Daniel, with whom I LOVE! He is nothing short but an amazing neighbourhood oppa who protects Mi Young and helps her out when she needs a personal cheerleader or friend. In all honesty, Daniel is one of the people I think has a level head, more so then Gun at times. All in all, I agree, everyone is different, and no one shares the same opinion. I think this show, just like it's previous version was just as controversial as when Coffee Prince came out. I think that makes it worth while to watch, and so far I'm really enjoying the show. I can see that my perspective is vastly different from what has been stated here, and I'm not saying this to offend anyone, I just fully believe that even dramas like this can bring the most interesting of comments out of people. I for one welcome debate, but I'd rather be enjoying watching my dramas :) peace :)
This has to be the best romantic comedy drama I've seen in a while! Hopefully that's not a premature infatuation of mine, but I will say it's actually refreshing to watch! I'll admit, this show is my guilty pleasure every week, waiting for new episodes to be released lol. What I liked about episode 9 is the good balance of tension between characters. Episode 9 was fulfilling for me in so many ways. We get a glimpse of Se Ra's own emotional roller coaster, and perhaps a hint of her own frustrations. Then Mi Young attempting to counter her own feelings and expectations for the fear of being rejected and hurt, as well as Gun's own frankness and sincerity. I think so far the pace is good. I feel like the "fluffy" but serious atmosphere works. One thing I anticipate is the dive into a more darker/melodramatic aspect like the original series. I think that'll be an interesting edge to this romcom, and I look forward to it. I'm happy those characters are "happy," and I hope they keep the comedy element elevated, but I sense past the mid-point of this series the pain/suffering of events will rise. It just seems too good right now, so I'm suspicious. Something is going to break my heart in this series and I just know it, but that just means there's just very great script writing and acting at this point :)
I realllly hope Lim Ju Eun gets a chance to act as part of the main cast in a drama series again very soon!! I loved her particularly in Wild Romance (though only a supporting character in this one), she has so much talent! Fighting Unni!
I loved this drama! Dong Ah was my favourite character in this series, she was so adorable with Manager Kim. She had a unique temperament and I enjoyed the unpredictability and depth of her character. Moo Yul and Eun Jae had a fiery chemistry so it was enjoyable watching them bicker and change over the course of this series. I have never laughed so hard in my life during some of their moments together. A match made in heaven :) Overall, I really liked the life lessons filtered throughout this series, there's just so much to learn for through what these characters go through. The baseball metaphors were especially wonderful. I thought that Sun Hee (auntie) did a really great job. I gave this drama a high rating, and I think that it is under rated! Give it a watch if you need a good laugh, or a good story to watch (because it actually HAS a story unlike some dramas I've watched wondering what on earth the point was, or the ending was awful). It definitely won't disappoint!
