Title Half
This is such an important issue. Transgender lives are important, and their struggles and histories are often made invisible or are erased. I would change the description to *male assigned at birth* since "gentialia" and the wording is a little problematic at the beginning. She's a woman, so we should be addressing that here. Otherwise I hope this isn't a complete tragedy. Aside from transgender issues in South Korea, I also find that stigmatization towards queer people (aka, non-heterosexuals) as a controversial issue in SK, namely the coming out process, where celebs for example don't come out, or if they do there's backlash (a I know of one famous case, where a male celeb took his own life because of the backlash). People who are deemed"unnatural," and unlike the "normative" which has been regulated as hetereo, are discriminated against. I always like to inform as many people as possible, that sexuality is not a "choice" it is who we are, and it's inside us. Whether that's hetero, gay, bi, pan, ace/etc, we're all human beings. Unfortunately that's not always the case in places around the world, and that's saddening. I'll be keeping an eye out for this one...
