That kiss between the Princess Jae Sin and Si Kyung was the greatest first kiss scene in this series (with the natural lighting from the sun in the background). I totally ship the main couple, but there was just something alot more beautiful about their tragic sort-of romance.
3 Things So Far:
1) Kay, that Episode 10 scene with the father and the daughter brought me to shameless tears.
2) Ri Ta and Ji Sang are getting more adorable together by the minute.
3) The fact that they're STILL treating human beings like guinea pigs disturbs me on a deep level. The lengths that organizations will go to to "test" new drugs seems to be quite telling of human nature in a very dark kind of mentality (what we're all capable of for the 'sake' of something, like Dr. Evil Vampire seems to be thinking). I'm just very curious about what this drug will do... create a new (advanced) race with the vampire virus? Hmm. I have some ideas, but this is getting interesting...
I like this drama so much!! Especially how You Qing is totally headstrong. It's interesting the ways in which this series portrays relationships, and the complexity of human emotion. The script writing is definitely a master piece, and I don't say that lightly. It was incredibly well written, and usually it takes A LOT for me to enjoy Taiwanese dramas, and this one has an entire package. I must say my heart bled for Da Ren ALL THE TIME. Seriously, aside for You Qing being awesome, he was truly one of the best characterizations I have ever seen in a drama. I would love a partner like him. Not just as lover but a best friend, maybe a lover/best friend.
And on a side note, You Qing's parents are so cool! Love them! The ending is just beautiful <3
This is such a perfect role for Ha Ji Won. A great way to return to drama land after 2 years. I'm just worried about who will be casted for the male lead role. Someone actually in their 30s please? I'm definitely going to be particular about this since they have been "friends" for more then a decade and although this drama is funny at points it's quite mature. If they plan on going with the same mood in the Tdrama that is. Otherwise fighting! I can't wait!
I have a serious bone to pick with Teshima. First of all, YOU asked Hotaru to move in with you, not the other way around. When you told Hotaru that you didn't like seeing her with the Manager, she was nothing but accessible. Then you tell her, all on your own, that you're ending the relationship. She barely got a word in there. You just abandoned her. Just because you think she's in love with -well, let me re-phrase that -by telling her that you know best and that she doesn't know it, but she's in love with the Manager. Wow, I have no words for this dude. Bringing her into his life, and putting okay, a good enough effort, but that's it? I get that it's a drama, but this would have been better at 14-16 episodes so he at least tried to keep their relationship together. He was jealous of Manager most of the time when she moved in. Even moments when they were happy, he just brushes it off as a failure at the end. I would never want to be in a relationship like that. Especially since Hotaru did love him. Even if she needed time to re-adjust to the move. Her feelings for Manager could be a result of the time they spent together, but she was always faithful to Teshima. That makes me feel eck about that. But they both came to terms with it, so I suppose c'est la vie.
So many emotional feels for this series. A freaking roller coaster ride to be honest, but the acting was extremely well done. One of the best love stories in my book. Very honest, and for once, the female lead is badass (<3 Rainie). Show Luo's Xue Hai / Lin Da Lang is definitely on my top five list of the greatest performances I've ever watched. So in love with this drama.
I have a feeling that Ji Sung will become human. That could totally just be me. But they have been stressing the fact that he realllllly wants to be human, and not how to cope and finds ways to live as a vampire (well a person living with a virus in them) for the rest of his life. He's been doing this his whole life. I kind of feel like Ri Ta is supposed to make him "human" if that makes sense? Or remind him of the human heart in a way. I will cry buckets of angry tears of that were to happen, even if it would make the drama seem tragically beautiful.
Yamamoto Yusuke is a very convincing Tamaki Suoh! This is coming from a person who has read the manga 3 times, and enjoyed the anime (up until they did a 180 in the plot for the last few episodes to wrap it up >-<). I know Tamaki (In OHHC) grows taller over time, but I wish they picked someone a little more taller. I know that sounds really picky lol but it's just my love for this series. I put this on hold for a while, but for 20 mins episodes, I think it captures at least the fluffiness of the series.
*starts watching first episode* music and mood reminds me of You're All Surrounded... haha I definitely think I will enjoy this one. Here for Song Ji Hyo mainly, but Song Il Gook is daebak ❤
Sung Ji Ru is in it though lol what a coincidence, he's a sunbae detective in You're All Surrounded as well.
This seems more like 156 minutes (give or take) of fan service... I'm curious. But sometimes I wonder if these mini-mini episodes series would be better off as a film. I'll probably watch it anyway, but I do wonder...
I must admit, the trailer was pretty cute. Since SSK was casted last minute, it'll be interesting to see how she'll do. Especially since it's a "lighthearted" romcom in comparison to the more melos she's done (of which I personally have not liked at all). I know Yoochun will be amazing, so i look forward to this drama!!
Oh my goodness the dramatic irony is sooooo frustratingly good. The cliffhanger at the end of episode 8 though... and Ri Ta's gothic-lolita like high boots/shoes are so cute. I totally want a pair.
I've watched the first 2 episodes, and I thought I would add my two-cents worth. This might be an obnoxiously…
Thank you @sam, I knew I would have a difficult time with this, just because I needed to see what the big deal people were making this drama out to be as. Then I watched it and I was really concerned about the ways we were talking about this drama.I couldn't have said what you said any better, thank you again. Because that was my point in writing this. Aside from using a bit of sarcasm to get there...

@SilverCloud I thought I would reiterate what I already told you here. It wasn't for your sake but thank you for pointing the editing out. I hope people will view what I wrote here in a way that prompts discussion about the ways in which we perceive dramas in regards to mainstream or dominant discourse.

You "come across" comments like mine all the time? Ahh okay, I must be subliminally telling people not to have an opinion. I must be a future dictator right? Wow I'm so done arguing with you. Not only have I never said that my opinion only matters, I have also not stated once that you should take everything I say like you should adapt your thoughts towards it.

@SilverCloud Whilst I am entitled to my sarcasm and (rapier wit?) , I am tired of the extreme harshness of people's comments. People needing to get over themselves, I have news for you, if you never liked..., are comments like you said I'm entitled to, otherwise we'd be living in a dictatorship (cliche as they are, they are product of my own sarcasm embedded in the text to make a point, as blunt and overarching and rude as it comes across). To be clear, some of these comments so genuinely come from frequent drama watchers, but most come from Internet trolls. The ones that rate this series 1 to 4 usually. I appreciate all that you said, it's totally validating. I'm just quite a drastic sarcastic that likes pulling out those statements. I should disclose that in my long rants where applicable. I'm in the position of someone tired of constantly looking at comments that automatically depict elements or the entirety of this drama like the plague. So because my comment offended you, thank you for addressing that. And I hope you continue to enjoy this series if you end up watching it until the end.
I've watched the first 2 episodes, and I thought I would add my two-cents worth. This might be an obnoxiously long post, but I'm quite an unapologetic person to begin with.
1) Netizens reacting strongly against this series are being rather harsh. There, I said it. It had to be said, all of these articles I've been reading are incredibly hyperbolic. I need to have a moment here........ now, what exactly is the problem? Unless the series does a 180 in the next several episodes I'm about to watch, this has a decent story line. The virus idea is pretty interesting, and so far the characters are unique.
2) Speaking of characters, will people seriously get over themselves when they write negative comments about Goo Hye Sun. I have news for you, she's great so far. I was preparing for the worse before watching this, and her acting is spot on. She's egotistical, she's arrogant, and she's prideful. Exactly what her description was before we started. I am sure she (Ri Ta) will have room to grow certainly as the plot goes on. But I wanted to state, first and foremost, I have encountered worse actresses *cough* Shin Se-Kyung *cough*, and although Koo Hye Sun may not be the best actress in the world, she takes on a role with passion, and that I admire that.
3) Speaking of Koo Hye Sun (again), and her character here: Ri Ta. I was also expecting to be annoyed by her voice, and... silence... I hear her, and I'm like, that's it? What is the big deal? People are jumping over metaphoric ships because they think her voice is high pitched? It's really not as awful as some people have been saying. If you have a different opinion then mine, okay, that's great. But her voice is not annoying. It's actually quite different, and that's alright with me. I hardly even noticed to begin with to be honest.
To conclude my thoughts on all things related to the Blood series, please don't let negativity and unfair conclusions make or break your decision to watch this. If you never liked any of these actors to begin with, then don't watch it. If you give it a try, just attempt to be open minded. The directing and camera work is pretty cool, and I like the themes for this drama. So far so good, and I can't wait to see how it develops. It could be a really good drama, it has potential. Let's just hope the writer-nim keeps up the good work.
*I am a sarcastic person. So for those of you that take my rather blunt comments as being cruel, this is partially the reason why, writing style wise.

1) Ahn Jae Hyeon is proving to be a very sexy vampire, and pretty good contender for male lead in a drama.
2) Goo Hye Sun's chemistry with Ahn Jae Hyeon is becoming more present, and that makes me happy. They're cute together.
3) Finally, Ji Sang found out the connection that Jae Wook has towards his parents, and thank gawd.
4) More plot twists occurring, and with more then half of the series left, I look forward to the romance and mystery!
Sung Ji Ru is in it though lol what a coincidence, he's a sunbae detective in You're All Surrounded as well.
