So, first of all, Noja. How many lives does this man have? :)) Fortunately I was very eager to get over all his unrealistic survivals because I really liked his character, but wth, especially the way he unburied himself? :))))) (Moon Jae also had a few superpowers in terms of recovery after a few things that happened to him...)
Also, he was kinda lame at times, for an old thug. Why couldn't he just kill that one guy that kept following him? And why not kill Sangyu too when he had the chance?

That one guy was really weird too, so he was doing all that for money, he didn't have any other reason? Kind of a stretch imo. And how did he manage to get all the other guys back then in the countryside and in the final episode? :)) I guess they skipped some scenes, where those other guys were offered money too.

Don't get me started on the cops, they always do such a bad job, why not carry guns all the time and why start fighting like teenagers? Such a bunch of losers.
Leaving these things aside (and maybe a few others), I just really loved this series, the story was amazing, I never had any idea where things were going and to me there were many unexpected things.

Yu Min was definitely the craziest one, I don't care that Moon Jae did some bad stuff too, he was a gray character that I was still rooting for and his actions can't be compared to what Yu Min did. Which is why I was so sad when Moon Jae basically got back to square one at the end. His character development was really nice, he become a pretty strong and brave guy managing to go without his meds and stop having panic attacks. He was doing so well, but when I saw him closing the curtains after going to Yu Min's place at the end I kinda knew that everything was going back to "normal". Once again, great attention to details, kudos to the director and the screenwriter.

I think Noja had a great influence on him, I loved their bromance so much, if you can call it that, they really made me laugh at times. Moon Jae should have just stuck to him, just, I don't know, go to his hometown with him and help his mother together and just live there. :)) Too bad that he pretty much ended up going crazy, I would have just told the editor that I'm retiring as a writer and just get another job.

I'm definitely going to watch the second season if they end up making it, and they better do cause that ending is screaming for it.

A mindblowing series, I really enjoyed it. It was a proper thriller, extremely well directed, with a great pace and a very interesting story. I loved the acting, the cinematography and the suspense. I really liked the dark humor every now and then too.
However there were a few unrealistic things and also the ending wasn't exactly the one that I wanted. I guess they wanted to leave room for a second season.
A must watch for mistery thrillers lovers.

First of all, and I think the most important aspect, why was she so careless as a pro killer? Why not hide her face, why not cover her hands with gloves so as to not leave fingerprints, why carry a baby shark sticker???

Second of all, the whole anti-fan fan arc was so weird and unnecessary. She could have just been a normal fan and fangirl over Bona. Sergei's arc too, he could have just been her friend, explain what happened back then on the rooftop and not threaten her. I feel like the screenwriter only wanted to surprise and confuse us with these two characters but wth...

Third of all, Layla or whatever didn't have to die, she could have surrendered and tell everything about Bona, being caught and sent to jail yes, but getting her revenge at the same time and well, not having to die.

And lastly (there were other things but whatever :)) ), Bona leaving for more than six months didn't make any sense at all once again. Just end the series nicely, why add all that useless drama, what did she think she was doing, leaving her young daughter and loving and supportive husband to live on the mountain for the rest of her life?!

I was so excited for this but it was kinda disappointing. It could have been a really great drama without the things that really didn't make sense, what a shame.

The start wasn't that good, but it definitely got better. I think my favorite part was the romance, tbh the thriller genre here on mdl should be replaced by romance. I loved the main couple, their story was truly beautiful.

The plot overall was really interesting and satisfying and I liked most of the characters, the pace was good and the family parts and family related lessons were so important. However, many things bothered me, which I will mention in the spoilers comment down below.

As a big fan of thrillers I definitely wouldn't call this a thriller, and it was even mentioned as the first tag, doesn't make sense 😂 there wasn't much mistery either. There were crimes indeed and a few disturbing scenes, but nothing that bad in my opinion.

Apart from that, it was a very nice drama, full of comedy and wholesome moments, I really loved the sense of community and the way they showed the importance of a family. I always enjoy watching "teamwork makes the dream work" kind of series. The cast had great chemistry and the acting was perfect. 👌

I watched this for Heo Nam Joon (well also because I like thrillers and the story sounded good) but unfortunately he didn't even appear that much, especially for a main character wth? They didn't even show him at all in at least one episode, and he didn't really have lines in a few others. I was really dissappointed because of that.

The series was so so, too many loop holes and things that didn't really make sense, but it still kept me watching without skipping any parts, and being very invested. I was expecting a better ending though. At least all the actors did amazing. I'm giving it a 8/10

A masterpiece of a thriller in my opinion, but truly very bloody. I wasn't expecting it to be this gory (I missed the "slight horror" tag), there were some very disturbing scenes, too much for my liking, I think they could have done them a bit differently. So if you're a sensitive person, definitely don't watch this.

But other than that, an amazing series. So intense and dark, full of many layers and details, a great watch. I was glued to the screen, there was no dull scene and the pace was just perfect, keeping things interesting all the time and until the very end.

Don't even get me started on the acting, I don't know if there were any awards received for this, but they definitely deserved them. The villain sent shivers down my spine and I absolutely hated him like I've done very rarely before. Yoo Yeon Seok is a spectacular actor, I knew that, but he really outdid himself with this one. The poor ahjussi went through so much, but btw I liked that we got to see him and the ahjumma in such engaging roles that we so rarely see people their age doing cause they are almost always just the chill parents that don't even appear that much or the chairmen/chairwomen or sth. I'm sure this meant a lot for them and their careers.

I really loved the psychological aspect of the drama and the story overall was very well written, with very few things that didn't really make sense. I was expecting a horrible ending, but it was just perfect actually.

Title Perfect Crown Spoiler

I really liked the second couple, the aides were so cute, I'm glad they got their proper moment towards the ending. And I liked Huijus's brother and her sister in law too, they really loved each other and the sister in law was actually so nice.

It was kinda weird how her family didn't come to the hospital when she had the car accident (and speaking of that, they never elaborated on the culprit, they only said that he died, but I don't think there was a scene where Huiju and the prince even found that out and they never ever questioned it, kinda strange). And her father didn't come to the hospital after she recovered after the poisoning. He still had the nerve to say at the end that he never wanted her to loose, only to stop fighting with everybody or sth. Bro, it's your fault, why did you spend your whole time as her father being mean and cold, leaving her traumatized?? Anyway, I am as still happy that the whole family ended up being on much better terms. ;))

And I liked how the queen mother got to redeem herself, once again, what great acting. I've seen this actress before but I never admired her like this, definitely her best role.

Imo the whole prime minister thing was kinda exaggerated, at one point I think he even forgot what he wanted and what he was fighting for anymore cause it was clear that he wasn't going to get Huiju. I wasn't expecting him to change so much and become the worst villain, so dissapointing. I guess he only wanted revenge, while claiming to protect the Crown, so delulu, but trying to kill the prince wtf... I was expecting to see him in jail at the end, for a character that caused so much drama they really brushed him aside, what happened? That's the only thing that missed in the ending.

Such a beautiful series, I really liked it.
A nice story, lovely relationships between the main couple and the secondary couples, pretty aesthetics and no boring scenes.
The acting was top notch, of course IU and Woo Seok are to be praised, but I also admired the queen mother and the young king, they did a spectacular job.
The chemistry really was there and the main couple had so many cute moments while also portraying a mature side. They showed their duality by being strong and imposing with others, but soft and baby like when by themselves, supporting, helping and understanding each other (well, most of the times at least), the true definition of love.
The ending was not exactly what I expected, but I really enjoyed it, and I love how there was enough closure, I always prefer long endings, not the out of the blue ones.

Title The Price of Confession Spoiler
What an amazing series, a proper thriller, definitely one of the best out there imo. It's really worth watching,…
One thing about this drama, Mo Eun really has a lot of lives, oh my gosh, poor girl, she almost died like five times, but of course she had to die at the end, I was expecting it cause just like she said, she didn't really have a life anymore... And poor guard, that lady was always stressing because of her. :)) Speaking of that, I loved how the guards were actually nice and had empathy, in comparison to how prison guards are usually portrayed.

Another thing, that lawyer really loved his wife, if I saw my partner killing sb brutally like that I would never want to do anything with them again. The motive of the murder was kinda weak, I was expecting sth else, but of course there are crazy people out there capable of killing for less than that so it doesn't surprise me. I hope the wife ended up being sent to prison too.

On the other hand, Yun Su didn't seem to be that in love with her husband anymore, why didn't she mourn him like at all? She never actually even thought about him, only about herself. And okay, maybe her survival and maternal instincts kicked in and she couldn't care about him anymore, but what about right before being arrested, why was she so strangely happy, was that just her way of coping?

I would have liked a final scene between Yun Su and the prosecutor, and even the detectives, where they say sorry to her, they weren't even at the trial. And one where she thanks her lawyer and the anklet lady for their help and their trust. They kinda ended it too abruptly.

What an amazing series, a proper thriller, definitely one of the best out there imo.

It's really worth watching, I was taken by surprise so many times. I don't really binge watch stuff but it was hard with this one because I would always find myself really wanting to know what happens next, this is what a real thriller should make you feel like.

The acting was exceptional and the story overall made sense, unraveling slowly but surely, without leaving me confused or not satisfied. They payed attention to almost all the details and in the end they wrapped it up nicely.

While looking at the cast I just realised that I completely forgot about that first police team leader. They really kicked him out forever, we never heard about him again. Too bad because apart from Tae Joo he seemed to be the only good guy there, if only he could have somehow gotten back maybe they could have worked together.

Title The Scarecrow Spoiler
A great series, this is how you make a good mistery thriller. The cast was amazing, I loved the suspense and the way the series was produced, full of red herrings and characters that made you really feel for them or really hate them. Special mention for their older versions, I really liked the attention to details and the way they changed even their voices. Park Hae Soo especially did a great job, he really sounded and acted like an old man.

At one point I kinda stopped liking the way things were going... And that was when Tae Joo had to leave for thirty years wth... He really didn't try to contact his sister or his nephew, not even once? Where was he and how did he become such a great profiler with his own show? I wish they went back and explained this bit, and also how Gi Hwan got to be caught, there was a gap between 1988 and the year when he was sent to jail for killing his sister in law, how did he stop killing people until her and how did he change his name and live a different life? And what about his own wife? And Ji Won was very weird for such a good friend, she really didn't want to know anything about Tae Joo for three decades? They kinda got a bit lazy towards the end of the series...

There were a few other things that didn't really make sense, such as Tae Joo's attitude towards the serial killer, like why has he so chill, I would have skinned him alive, but oh well, perhaps he was just too tired after everything and just wanted to be done. The same goes for Gi Beom's child, how come he didn't freak out when he found out the truth about both his uncles, his reactions were too underwhelming. Btw, shouldn't Gi Hwan have gotten the capital punishment after it was proved that he had killed so many people???

I hated how the bad cops and the prosecutor weren't punished in the end, I know it makes for a realistic ending, but at least karma should have gotten them. They should have died in a car crash or sth. At least that one guy seemed to die of a heart attack in his office.

Overall it was interesting to watch and very engaging. I'm giving it a 8,5/10 for the first nine episodes and for the acting, especially Park Hae Soo's and Lee Hee Jun's.

I really don't understand the rating here, this is actually a pretty good series. Once again, I learned to not trust the ratings and just see for myself whether I like a drama or not.

In my opinion it's a well made series, with an interesting plot, not boring at all, pretty thrillery and there is amazing acting too. I didn't feel like skipping at all. Many impactful scenes, mostly in a negative way, but that made for a memorable drama that, unfortunately, reflects reality. I would often times find myself not expecting at all what's coming next and I liked that.

The chemistry between the main leads was great, and despite their flaws, I was really rooting for them. The attention to details, all those heavy looks, the tension, Ju Ji Hoon and Ha Ji Won were a very good match. Also, the amount of episodes was just perfect for this kind of story, and I think the ending was a very suitable one.

9/10

p.s. it's quite an ugly story, yes, but it's so well executed and the main leads didn't push my limits that much so I didn't end up hating them and finding them frustrating like I did with Baek A Jin in Dear X, and for reference, that one has a very big rating in comparison, 8,1

I only have nice things to say about this drama, oh my gosh!!!

It is such a lovely series, the story is beautiful, there's not a single boring moment, no unnecessary or weird scenes, no things that don't make sense (well, as far as fantasy kdramas go at least), lots of great memorable moments, the production is top notch, amazing visuals, really funny parts that made me literally laugh like crazy and repeat said parts, beautiful fashion, it's just perfect for me!

Don't even get me started on the chemistry, Jisoo and Seo In Guk made me go crazy!!! I actually never really liked In Guk's face for some reason so I would always avoid his dramas, but I really wanted to watch this one for Jisoo and for the plot. He was soooo well written to the point that his face actully grew on me and now I like him! :)) I admit that he really is a great actor too (also I really love his voice), and on the other hand Jisoo improved a lot, I have a big girl crush on her and I think that she makes a great actress and has a very pleasant presence, so yeah, I really liked seeing them together. They made me feel all the tension and the love, I don't remember when was the last time I giggled so much at a kdrama, they complemented each other very well. Major kudos to the writer and the director as well of course, they did amazing with these two characters, just like with the entire series.

This should have definitely been longer, it deserved 16 episodes. I really liked how it has that classic kdrama charm, but with a refreshing twist. It's a 10/10 from me, which happens extremely rarely. I loved it so much! <3
