Although Crazy Love was a very entertaining K-drama (up to episode 11) and the acting of all the actors and actresses was very good, the male lead is a huge red flag. I don't remember which episode it was, but he wanted her to sign a contract so that she would literally be his slave and do everything he wanted. If she didn't sign the contract, she would have to go to prison. But here's the worst part: he threatens to causing the death of her father if she doesn't sign the contract. He manipulates her by saying that if she goes to prison, her father will find out and probably have a heart attack and die (How cruel! How can a human being sink so low?!). And then at the end of episode 11, the male lead gets very close to the female lead and tells her he wants her to give up her big dream of being an instructor just because he feels like it. He tells her she has to abandon her dream simply because it would take time away from him (it doesn't matter what she wants, only what he wants). Basically, he wants her to remain his secretary so she can dedicate all her time to serving him. I love Zhou Ying, I love her personality, she's so intelligent and loyal. The only flaw I see in her is that she forgives too quickly people who have hurt her deeply and who don't deserve forgiveness.

Her performance in Empresses in the Palace is considered by many Chinese viewers to be one of the most iconic villain portrayals in C-drama history. She didn’t just play a character — she owned it. Her charisma, her presence… she left a mark that still lasts more than a decade later. Outside of China, that drama may not be as widely known, but within China it’s almost a classic. So seeing her name never mentioned here feels strange. I’m not saying people shouldn’t be excited for Liu Yuning. But I do think it would be nice if Jiang Rulu’s career and acting legacy were acknowledged too. She is not just a co-star — she is someone many actors would feel honored to work with.
