Feelings and how to express them, the Show
let's get something out of the way first before I review it: yes I'm biased because I love EarthMix as a pairing. no, I don't care. That's my emotional support pairing, leave me alone.
okay, this show is much more than just a romantic comedy. it's about feelings and how to properly express them. every conflict could be solved through communication. then why don't they communicate? cause they have to learn how to do it! they have to grow and develop over the course of this show and I think they do a great job showing that growth. showing Mo becoming more pro-active in pursuing Heng, showing Heng learning to be open and more mature etc.
and yes at first I did think the amnesia arc would basically make all that development null and void, but I think it added more. I think that was the final push Heng needed to truly realise what he wanted, and Kongdech getting over his crush at the end is played realistically and heartwarmingly. Everyone was in top form and the comedic timing was something to behold. Everything played perfectly into each scenario and the show never shied away from going into the absurd which I'm happy for. Ossan's love Thai is a feel good show about how to be open about your emotions and the consequences of not communicating openly with the ones you care about, wrapped up in a lovely happy ending. I'm sad to see it go.
Also Heng is so ADHD coded. I'm surprised no one else seems to have pointed it out.
