Let me start by telling you all that this is a bromance, not a romance.

The story starts off really well and then just turns into something that isn’t romance or friendship. There is no affection showed and hardly anything romantic ever happens. Not even a date or movie or romantic meal.

The last episode was possibly the biggest let down. The ending was, for lack of a better word, blah! It’s not about skinship, the lead characters behaved like they liked each other but not like boyfriends. Tine cried like a baby over something that was hardly serious. Sarawat was bold and consistent, but Tine had zero trust or faith. One hug and the world ended for him? He ran straight into the arms of another man? Refused to listen to reason. That’s a middle school drama, not college level drama. Oh and the high five ending was just so bland. Gah!

Phukong was so desperate he wanted Mil even if he was only a second option. Mil would try to date Tine if he won the contest or would have to date Phukong if he lost. Wow! How romantic! That’s who’s dream? That’s sad and pathetic, and no one deserves that.

Thank god for Man and Type. They were the only characters that made me happy. The one true couple in this drama.

Love!

Every episode had me on edge. The actors did an amazing job. They portrayed their characters extremely well and made it all so believable. The cast, casting director/s, the director/s, producer/s, make up artists, coaches, extras, all the support staff obviously worked in harmony and are very skilled. This show deserves a lot of love.

The main leads Tutor and Fighter are complex characters, adorably unique and their chemistry is off the charts. The story line has a lot of scope for improvement, but these two will leave you wanting more.

When you watch the show you can actually feel the sparks fly, the yearning and the love they have for each other. They go from love-hate to love-more love-oh my god love.

In the beginning they hate each other purely because they are fighting the attraction they feel for each other and don’t want to have “non hetero” desires. Fighter gives in to his feelings first and makes Tutor fall in love with him. He also makes himself indispensable to Tutor. The two lead characters can’t get enough of each other and are very real with their emotions, affections and desires. When they kiss you can feel the love and passion, it’s beyond expectations.

Fighter loves with all his heart and is not afraid of showing the world how much he loves Tutor. He comes from a single parent(father) wealthy family. Tutor is very playful, hardworking and affectionate by nature.

Tutor has a lot of financial problems and doesn’t want to hurt anymore or hurt anyone else. The complications start when Fighter’s father discovers their relationship and asks Tutor to stay out of his son’s life. Tutor is crushed and heartbroken, but like most Asian children respects Fighter’s father’s wishes and does what he is asked. He knows Fighter’s mom is not in the picture and doesn’t want to cause problems between Fighter and his only parent (his father). Tutor is especially sympathetic towards the father because he doesn’t live with his family and misses them dearly. Tutor knows how painful it is to not have family around and to be financially weak. He also knows Fighter has lived a sheltered and comfortable life (super rich) and doesn’t want to jeopardise that for him. So, the ultimate sacrifice is made. Tutor gives up on the only source of pure joy in his life, his true love.

Fighter doesn’t accept this and Tutor does something very stupid to make Fighter back off. This backfires and Tutor ends up feeling worse than ever and Fighter is more crushed than before. Tutor is so depressed, upset and worried about Fighter that he falls sick. Luckily Fighter finds him and takes care of him. Tutor realises how indispensable Fighter is to him, how loving Fighter is and how he can’t live without him. Fighter with the help of Tutor’s friend finds out why the break up happened and faces his father like a true man/warrior/champion. He wins that battle against his father and takes back what is his, his Tutor.

Obsessed

This story has it all. Obsession, passion, betrayal, destructive manipulation, brilliantly crafted mind games, schizophrenia, over inflated ego, love and character development.

The story is a must watch and there is no other way one can understand the plot without watching it.

It starts with manipulation and ends with humility for our younger ML (burnt to oblivion black flag). He learns the hardest way how love is to be earned and given. And truly deserves the pain and heartbreak he endured. Our older MC (green flag) is a worthy opponent. He doesn’t let our ML get away with it. He suffers greatly, but brings his lover/manipulator down to his knees and ultimately escapes. He takes his lover back on his own terms and only after the both of them have healed.

Theirs is a love story fraught with way too many unforgivable blows, but somehow manages to redeem itself and heal. The emotional damage is real and lasting. But the story line is way too captivating and the leads far too well written to be not obsessed over.

Both the actors did a phenomenal job and deserve high praise. Their chemistry is off the charts, as is their respective skills. The script writer/s, author, director and production team worked brilliantly. It’s a 10/10 for me.
