I watched the donghua and loved it, so I have been looking everywhere for the light novel. Now I'm seeing "adapted from a manhua" here. Does that mean there never was a novel/light novel? Ah well, that's a shame, but exciting that my search lead me to discover that there are TWO live action adaptations, this and a previously completed one (which perhaps wasn't that good, if the comments and score are to be believed.) Anyway, I'm just gonna rewatch the donghua which gave me such joy, give up on my light novel dreams, and check out the live actions in the future!

My winning result was Drake (I love him so much), then AouBoom. Those two are such scene/show stealers as a side couple. I also would love more WinnySatang. I really enjoy Satang's acting a lot. He's my favorite performance in shows that otherwise aren't great (in my completely subjective opinion, of course), like We Are or Star in My Mind.

I love FirstKhaotung, but I don't care about the genre at all, just wish for them to have good scripts. Their acting is awesome and chemistry electric. I think First is one of those actors who has chemistry with everyone, though, and I would also really enjoy a FirstMix project (ahhh, don't kill me!). I thought they were great in Moonlight Chicken. Always happy with some JimmySea. And I want to see Book play a villain, with or without Force around. I just really think he would rock it.

What I want most from GMMTV is BETTER WRITING, INCLUDING STICKING THE LANDING AT THE END, no matter the actors or couples.

Maybe he meant that him explaining they're not dating doesn't solve the PR problem of one of the two leads caught looking flirty with a girl right before the show premieres? He didn't know that Hajime was jealous, so I guess he was just focused on promising to get the story out of the tabloids as fast as possible, and didn't think Hajime actually cared if it was true or not?

I just don't care about the internet ratings drama amongst teenagers on Twitter or whatever. I watched this as it was airing, followed the 226 nonsense and am aware of the antis phenomenon, but also I'm freaking 40 so idgaf about any of it. Still, if I were a hater with a childish mission to sabotage a show's score, I would rate it even lower than a 7 to really bring it down. I don't know if you don't know because you're not a native speaker, but calling people you don't know "dear" comes off as condescending, so your comment came off as rude, but it's perfectly fine if it's just a miscommunication .

It is one of my very favorite things ever, and I gave it a 10, but I don't think that people that give 7-8.5 are haters. Maybe just people who forced themselves to check it out because of the high rating who never would have even tried it if it were rated lower, so it was never their thing from the beginning. Haters would be more like people rating it say 1 to 4, which is obviously nonsense. Some people have different tastes, some people really care about special effects and fight scenes, some of which did require a bit of imagination due to the lack of budget, a bunch of people were a little to a lot confused, as we often see here in the comments from new viewers. 9 is a great score overall!

The 4 parts have 97k, 63k, 65k, and 59k as of right now. They were around half that when I first checked yesterday, so they're rising, but still look low to my eyes even though I KNOW Netflix is the reason.

Yeah, I can't figure out why people keep saying that. Gmmtv has put out more good BLs in the last 12 months than in any other 12 month period in their history. When it comes to other production companies, sure, there have just been SO MANY made (well, and this goes for gmmtv, too) that some are bound to be bad. I usually check out all gmmtv BLs because they are generally more hit than miss, but then with other production companies I wait until they have a lot of good word of mouth before watching. So in the last year I've seen 5 really good gmmtv projects, a few of which were among their best of all time, 1 pretty good, 1 complete clunker I dropped, and one meh. Plus 3 good to really good and one clunker that started good but I later dropped in the non-gmmtv category. (I'm only talking about Thai.) So I saw NINE good Thai BLs in a 12 month period. That must be a record! More good Thai BL in the last year than ever before. Push it back a few more months and you can add Vice Versa and Eclipse. I really have NO idea what people are talking about!

The timing could have been worse then! At least you finished. I am pretty annoyed about this, I will probably download them somewhere so I don't have to deal with searching when I want to rewatch.

Ugh, was just looking for MSP on YT and was so confused. Can you tell me what other shows you know of that GMMTV sold to Viki? I didn't notice anything else that seemed missing while I was looking for MSP... Or wait, maybe I didn't see 2gether, either, now that I think about it. 🤔 Oh, and maybe A Tale of a Thousand Stars I also don't think I saw during my search...? Anything other than those? BB, Not Me, Sotus, TOL, Vice Versa, FUTS, NLMG, ABAAB, the Eclipse, DBK, etc I DID see while I was looking for MSP.

For real! I mean, take of their jacket and especially shoes if you want to go above and beyond, but then just throw them in bed or on the couch.

Neo, Khao, and First I think are obvious to a lot of people, but I also agree with you on Book. I find the Mew character a little boring, but the differences between calm/boring Mew, angry/scheming Mew, and Cher (ABAAB) are so huge. I really think he can act his ass off.

Same cringe I have every time someone calls Top "Top Tier". I don't know if it sounds less cringy in Thai, but my god. It's as if there are objective rankings of desirability, as opposed to reality, where some will consider him the hottest guy around but others will consider someone else the most desireable. For example Ray doesn't think he's "Top Tier". Ray would rank both Mew and Sand higher, so what's up with the universally used nick name. 🤣

Wow, I can't believe it's all of the same people making the two shows! IFYLITA is very good so far. Now I'm scared it's going to drop in quality in the second half. 😬 Maybe they were so busy with their preferred project that they just put the Hidden Agenda script together in a couple days or something? 🤷‍♀️

I watched this several years ago for the first time because it was one of the highest rated dramas on all of MDL, came up on the first page of highest rated, must have been like 9+. It was so heartwarming, and I definitely agreed with the rating. I was looking for it this week but I couldn't remember the name but knew I would recognize it, so I was digging through the highest rated Jdramas, highest rated school dramas, nothing. Thought it had been removed from the site. Finally I got more specific with the tags and it came up. For some reason the rating went way down. But anyway, this used to have a 9+, and it was deserved. They have made down-adjustments to ratings in recent years, as I understand it, because some people were apparently manipulating ratings, but considering how old this is I didn't think its score had been inflated by fandom campaigns or anything so I don't know if it was down-adjusted by the site or if the influx of new people who found it on Netflix just didn't like it as much as the original viewers. Anyway, this has been my story of struggling to find one of the former highest rated shows on the site. 😁 This is I believe aimed at teens, but I saw it as an adult and was very moved.
