It sort of reminded me of Star In My Mind, Joongdunk's first series. One of those hardly original, not the best but not the worst series that didn't have the best planning and directing, but hey, you stick around because you liked the CP. I'd say not bad for MarkOhm's first series, though I sure hope GMMTV gives them something better next time.

It had a good start, but then the direction just... scattered. Sadly, the show was overshadowed by other more hyped-up shows like Break-up Service, My Golden Blood, Leap Day, and Boys in Love. It's too bad GMMTV didn't make more effort with this show. The cast gave it their all, but the storyline is just all over the place. There's potential with MarkOhm, and I wish them all the best in their future projects.

If they're following the novel, then there should be quite a few steamy scenes.

I know couples in dom/sub relationships and this ain't it. Both parties are equal in standing, and they have to be in agreement with whatever arrangements they have in the relationship. Whatever that's happening between Ramil and Paytai isn't that. There is some serious power imbalance here. Despite Ramil's attitude towards Paytai, Paytai is first and foremost a servant of the Phuchongphisut family. That means he doesn't have a say in whatever role he plays as in Ramil's life. That's not a relationship is supposed to be like.

Ambiguous ending? In the final chapter, Ramil became ruler of the eastern kingdom and he took Paytai with him. However, it was implied that their relationship status didn't change. Ramil is still the one in control, and Paytai is still going with whatever Ramil wants. In one of the bonus chapters, Khanin and Charan encouraged them to be honest with how they feel about each other, but we don't know if they've taken their advice.

Though from the looks of it, DMD added a lot of new material for the Ramil/Paytai storyline, so there's no telling how they'll turn out in the series.

So, in the novel, Emmaly is described as a country where the people are extremely loyal to their partners. Once they've found their partners, it's for life. That bond is sacred to them. This is probably why they don't remarry or find another partner when one of them dies. That tradition is gradually changing, as it was mention that, after Khanin's mother died, the king has tried to match Prince Tharin (Khanin's father) with someone new. However, he never remarried, and has been alone until Khanin came back to Emmaly.

Finally got around to watching this. I have to say, while waiting for a DMD series is more painful than pulling teeth, they certainly have a high standard in quality. I can tell they've put in an effort with the locations, the costumes and the storyline. I'm really glad they're finally able to release this, even if I had to wait almost 3 years for it.

I don't know if that bed scene is a flashback or Paytai's fantasy, but it looks like their relationship wasn't always this imbalanced. I think at one point, Ramil really loved him, but with their difference in status, Ramil's responsibilities, abuse from his father, and the stress to win the competition, he changed. With that, their relationship also changed. Paytai looks like he's stuck between wanting to get out (even though he can't) and wanting to stay because he knows Ramil doesn't have anyone to support him. It feels less like a dom/sub relationship and more like a relationship that turned abusive, but that's just me.

Then again, we're only five episodes in, so maybe things will change later on. The Ramil/Paytai storyline has changed significantly compared with the novel, so I'm curious to see how things will turn out for these two.

Finally got around to watching this. If The Middleman's Love is a career-killing disaster, then Battle of the Writers is the redemption. There are some flaws here and there, but it's a huge improvement from TutorYim's last series. I'd say BOTW is especially challenging, as the actors had to play double roles (IRL self and their story characters), but overall, they did a good job. Both Tutor and Yim definitely have a great deal of acting potential, and I hope DMD won't let them go to waste.

Loved the first episode, but right now, all I can focus on is the OST! Louis, Ford and Fluke should totally form a trio.

If GMMTV only cares about money, they wouldn't have filmed Hide & Sis, and start production on The Dark Dice and Scarlet Heart. Although their BL dramas get a lot of attention, they also understand that BG dramas dominate the entertainment industry as a whole. So, they'll still keep cranking out BL dramas, but they'll never limit themselves to only BL. Plus, it won't be good for their artists' growth if they're confined to jobs within a single genre.

Crappy story, but Tle and Firstone have good visuals and chemistry, so I guess that's one saving grace. I guess this is a good practice run for the upcoming Khemjira and You(r)tuber.

It's a good attempt to transition EarthMix from the previously serious roles to something more quirky, wacky and funny. I think after A Tale of Thousand Stars, they were kind of typecasted into a certain genre. While this series isn't perfect, it is the breakthrough they needed. This shows they can be versatile in their acting. I sure hope GMMTV is paying close attention and give these two more creative roles in the future.

I believe Tu's X said they'll start fitting next month, and the actors who play the princes have been undergoing training in horseback riding, but so far, no word on when they'll start filming. But at least they have something. Friendshit Forever just sank to the bottom and will probably never resurface.

I burst out laughing when Jorin hit Force. This series is gonna be good.

Last I heard, the director is filming another drama, and there were spectulations that he'll get started on FF after that's done, but somehow I doubt it. It looks like the cast have already moved on to other projects. We probably have better luck with Revamp or even Scarlet Heart lol.

Already did. Now, I'm waiting for them to finish filming Hide & Sis. I'm not holding my breath for Friendshit Forever, though.
