I was always so confused as to how international viewers were watching this, turns out Netflix is doing the "new episode every week" thing most places except where I live ㅠㅠ pain 3
I can't be the only one who ISN'T annoyed with Daon being nice to everybody, right? ;__; Like it's pretty clear he needs to be liked because his parents don't pay attention to him. It's only natural for him to be nice because he deep down craves affection from people, and the only way he knows how is by never saying no to favors. Sure it can cause misunderstandings, but it's most likely gonna be something they'll dive into in future episodes, so no need to criticize Daon so harshly lol
I've warmed up quite a lot to So Bin and Jun's relationship! I was previously wary of them but found them quite sweet these past few episodes. But I really don't like how suddenly *everybody* is paired up. I really wish there wasn't a million different romance plots on top of the actual plot with the leads and their families etc. But man I love this show so much! I can't believe next week is the last broadcasting week ㅠㅠ
queer erasure in its fullest form. i’m not going to say i hate the drama—i think it’s beautiful and the…
Same, I agree. I really enjoy the show but they definitely erased the parts that could've served as genuine representation and replaced it with semi-forced romances for both Yeo Joon and Soo Hyun. And for Soo Hyun it's more bothering because he was gay in the webtoon. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, but I'm not happy that the preview for episode 9 makes it seem as though he actually does like either Mi Joo or Young Ran. I feel like if they were gonna make Soo Hyun straight, they should've at least made him stay single.
I know KBS are the kings of convervatism but I wonder if the episode preview of Soo Hyun seeing Joon Wan is a hint at them actually meeting and ending up together ㅋㅋㅋ (I doubt it lmao)
I don't wanna give the wrong impression so I'll start off by saying I LOVE THIS SHOW! But I had a thought: Am I the only one that feels like the ML and FL are being forced together? I do find them cute, but I feel like it's happening unnaturally fast. I absolutely love Joon and Sobin as individual characters, but I was under the impression that they don't even date in the Webtoon. I can obviously tell based on the fact that they are the main characters that they end up together (which I don't mind) and I just fear that they'll turn this into some kind of love triangle drama when the original story is mostly about friendship.
I don't like how coldly his brother treats him, but why does it feel like he knows and wants to keep Yeo Joon…
IKR! i had the same thoughts! i really couldn't understand why his brother acted so cold towards joon when it seemed like he was actually trying to keep him safe?
Wow, I watched episode 6 today and the weighing scene made me so sad! 57.1 kg really isn't a lot at all ESPECIALLY for a man. I even weigh a bit more than that and I have a normal weight ㅠㅠ
I know it was supposed to show the harsh mentality about weight in the industry but it straight-up made me sad that the members of Sparkling were all expected to weight 55 kg… I hope no one feels pressured about their own weight after seeing this scene, I have to admit I did. Here's a reminder that you're amazing and you don't need to change, because I also needed to hear that after watching the scene ㅠㅠ
(I was searching through the comments if someone talked about it, but I couldn't find it, so if there was it must've been overshadowed by the people talking about ratingsㅎㅎ)
What about the tags? Death, dead parents child abandonment.. Whats these???
I'm assuming it's because of what happens in the BTS Universe. If you've read the webtoon "Save Me" or the notes that come with the albums, you learn about the (fictional, of course) stories that they experience. Hoseok experiencing child abandonment for example.
Two things I don't understand even though I finished the show (or that I might've missed): 1. Why did Jojo's parents kill themselves (and try to kill her)? Is it important to the story, or was it more of a thing they wanted viewers to speculate over? 2. The art piece that Jojo made that people thought was a prediction for the mass-suicide (the one with the 23 hearts or whatever), what did it mean? Jojo confessed that all the paintings had something to do with her, but what did those hearts mean?
