People are so negative… I loved the ending and it made me cry. I’ve been in Rin’s shoes exactly, and this is just how things go. The people I met in when living in Tokyo changed my life for the better, and we’re still special to each other even if can’t meet anymore. This drama answers the question of “if it’s painful to say goodbye to a good thing, would it be better if it never happened at all?” with a big and accurate “NO!”

Omg I’m becoming so obsessed with Noa, I can’t wait for the next episode bc it seems like it will focus on her!!🥹

I really don’t understand why people find Rin annoying. I feel it’s completely normal for cultural differences to affect relationships like this, and with all the personal struggles Rin’s going through, it’s totally fair that she just wants reassurance from Taiga. Maybe it’s because I’m also a foreigner who’s lived in Japan, but being shamed for not fitting in is a horrible feeling, and sometimes you just want your partner to care more about you than others’ opinion of you!

Even the synopsis has been removed from Netflix😭 I wonder if they’re doing a lot of internal changes to plot and editing…

I doubt Netflix Japan would be behind an intentional delay (since as you mentioned Japan barely has problems with BL in mainstream media) however the pessimist in me fears it has something to do with Taecyeon’s management or Korean producers on the show, since SK is more conservative on that part🥲 I could imagine that’s why they marketed the drama as LGBTQ at first, but now are ambigious about the whole thing

One thing I appreciated was how good Dom was at remembering nearly everybody’s name!! Most contestants would say “the big guy” or “the judoka” but he would always mention contestants by name and hype them up🫶🏼

It’s so crazy how well the actors played both high school and adult versions of their characters! Despite all being in their mid 20s, they all looked so realistic as teens😳

Now that the translation of the Webtoon has come further along, the biggest difference between that and the drama is that Minju doesn’t exist, and Minhyuk seems to start falling for Jihun👀

This also bums me out as a Webtoon reader!! All the chapters released so far seem to be about how Yunjae learns how to care for Jieun, no matter her body, but I guess the drama kind of ruined that whole message by introducing Minju’s character…

One of my favorite things that never gets acknowledged is that Minhyeok doesn’t know about Jieun’s body swap, he just thinks that Yunjae and Jihun are gay and wants to protect them ahahah
