Idk. Telling your boyfriend he's a failure in your relationship while he's down is a shitty thing to do. She can be upset. But not understanding him at all is not the way to handle the situation. It's obvious how traumatic the whole thing was for him. He's afraid to let her down so that's why he's pulling away. She should have been more understanding. Especially since he's been really patient with her previous outbursts and tantrums. I also don't agree with how the whole "knocking some sense into him" narrative is being pushed. If she had experienced something like this and he reacted the way she did, I doubt anyone here would be on his side. I'm just glad Dr. Du and Dr. Gao were there for him.
There's some misinformation in your reply but the rest is good. Fans did not get AO3 banned from China. AO3 themselves released a statement saying that they were always gonna get banned because explicit bl/gay stories are illegal there. And it was just a matter of time. They did not fault him or his fans. And in regards to the events of 227, it was premeditated. You know how in Weibo and Douban topics can be created? Well. The 227 topic was already an entry that was created in the middle of January. Which indicates that some big shots in the industry wanted him gone. And he didn't lose 2 years of work. He made his first public appearance during the Tencent Starlight awards. He was already shooting for Ace Troops and for his endorsements by the end of 2020. Also saying his endorsements picked up only in 2022 is false. He already had 2 luxury brands: Zenith and TOD's in 2021 as well as about 10 or more other endorsements. He had a great 2021. And in terms of work, Xiao Zhan has always dedicated months for each character portrayal. He doesn't jump between film and drama sets bc of said dedication.

Still going huh? Anway. Like I said I'm done arguing with you. But for those who are interested those critics and articles praising his acting for A Dream Like A Dream and Ace Troops can be found on Twitter. Go check out these fan accounts @AboutXiaoZhan and @xzhan1005 . They translated them.

Thank you for your comment. I completely agree with your viewpoint. The only place Xiao Zhan can go now is higher. He will without doubt reach new heights as an actor and I'm really looking forward to it.

No. I was talking about Xiao Zhan's acting. No where did I start a comparison between CQL and other dramas. You derailed the conversation to whatever was nagging at you bc of my comment. And in regards to A Dream Like A Dream of course I wasn't able to watch it since I don't live in China. But every major critic has said that he has improved by leaps and bounds with ADLAD in comparison to CQL. Idk why you come in with such an attitude trying to impose your views on someone else's comment. You can block me if it bothers you too much. Have a nice day.

Lol. I'm not arguing with you anymore. I watch English shows (and a couple Spanish/Korean Netflix shows) that's why my watchlist here is empty. But there is no such thing as a perfect actor. Every actor improves. And Xiao Zhan is doing just that. So I'm really confused as to what has you soooo offended by my comments. Xiao Zhan WILL continue to improve as an actor because that's what a GOOD actor does. And you sound really naïve to say that his performance was already perfect in CQL when there's no such thing as a perfect performance. Yes. He was incredible in it. But his biggest highlight in his career will not be CQL. He already proved that with Ace Troops and A Dream Like A Dream. Have a nice day.

Ok??? I'm not saying anything bad. Or do you expect his acting to be better then than now? I don't know if you know this but improving as an actor is a good thing...

Don't get me wrong. I've seen some of those meaty acting scenes in The Untamed and I agree that he's amazing in it. But I also think that he has improved since then. Which is a great thing. I've seen too many actors just stay in their comfort zones but he's really something else. And I'm glad he chooses to actively improve instead of staying at the same level.

I've watched a couple of episodes. And I think he's improved since then. Which is amazing because he was already great to begin with. I've also seen clips of Ace Troops and he's incredible there. I think Gu Yiye is his best acting portrayal to date. And I've been doing a bit of research and I found out that last year he was the male lead in a critically acclaimed EIGHT HOUR theatre play. So now I'm really curious to see how much more he has improved with Shi Ying. Sorry. I feel like I'm ranting. lol. I just reallllly like him.
So I just came across the trailer for The Longest Promise and I am completely in awe of Mr. Xiao Zhan. The difference between Gu Wei and Shi Ying is night and day. His aura and temperament are completely different! I'm honestly astonished over how versatile he is as an actor. I don't know much about award shows in China but I'm convinced that if he was in the US he'd be winning Emmys left and right. I will definitely be checking The Longest Promise out when it airs (hopefully this summer). Edit: I've really turned into a Xiao Zhan simp. lol
Our fl really said “this man was 30 years old if it was not for me he would still be single so technically I…
I feed bad for her. This comment really shows that she has real low self esteem. Especially because Gu Wei has had at least 3 girls already interested in him. She projects a lot onto him and is scared he'll get tired of her like what happened with her friend and her boyfriend. I hope she gains more confidence.
