Loved it, Loved it, JUST LOVED IT! Actors and especially their interactions, dialogues, their relationships were so warm and beautiful. It's been a long time since i laughed so much :D They got along so well that i didn't want to miss any second of it! And you know what? I didn't fast forward episodes!!!!! which i usually do at some points but here... i didn't need to do that, the story was put together very well, not a single unnecessary scene, in my opinion. I just can't find the best words to describe how i liked this drama! So if you are looking for a drama with great actors, funny and serious at the same time plot with strong female lead and a protective male lead who didn't beat around the bush then be sure to check this one out! All actors' got great chemistry with each other. Oh and i forgot to mention that scenes in games reality are quite spectacular and you won't be able to take your eyes off them .
Personally, I was fast forwarding a lot of scenes, especially the FL with her behavior of distrust in ML. It really annoyed me all the time. Stubborn little girl. Thus I prefer better the relationship and story of LYX. Even though this one has a happy ending, I was left with feeling that FL didn't deserve the ML. she was always "stepping on the same rakes", easily manipulated by Uncle An. Of course, she wasn't that bad, she also did good things and helped sometimes. But overall feeling about the FL is kind of bitter...
This is the very first drama in a veeeeeery looooong time which i didn't want to end. It triggered the strings of my soul, left such a deep impression on me. It will remain in my heart forever. Besides the perfect couple and all the characters, what will stay with me are the fairy tales told throughout all the drama, their deep meaning and how perfectly they describe and fit with real life situations shown in the drama. These fairy tales helped to make the plot deeper. This drama is a Masterpiece in terms of messages it brings to people, in character development from A to Z and a lot of small things that result in a wonderful, beautiful picture just like puzzle when putting them together. A Must To Watch!
For me, the plot, actors and their play, the characters and how they were portrayed were just perfect. I was never bored, not even a second. The drama is just my cup of tea. It was both funny and sometimes sad, serious and hilarious. And of course, the chemistry between the main leads was just awesome! A lot of skinship: kisses, hugs and they were very natural, it was a pleasant thing to watch. Even though, the background music was indeed bothersome and didn't makes sense in many scenes, I still LOVED the show! So if you are hesitant to watch this: be sure to give it a try! Besides the music, everything else is worth to see :)
Now the drama has ended, I'm back here again to give my two cents hehe. So, for those who are confused about whether…
I agree with you 100%! i have written down my thoughts above something similar to your comment but in a more messy way just like the drama itself XD But i like the way you have summarized the idea of the show and your opinion on it. True, straightforward and what is most important - without any hatred!
Well, what can i say... It's not the BEST out of the BEST Dramas, but it was a good one to watch. After watching the last episode, i feel quite exhausted and there is a bit of disappointment about the destiny of our main couple. I know that many people are satisfied and are saying that they ended up together and that is the main thing. For me - it is not. Their dates for me look like they are cheating on someone. They have to hide, they have to be cautious, they have to look out not to get caught, they can't be openly together, they can't enjoy the life together only short moments - and that's very devastating, you know. (ESPECIALLY after watching episodes 11/12 where our King said "Protect Her! She is the Future Queen of the Kingdom of Corea!"). While they are still young, that might seem quite alright and pretty exciting but as the time will pass by it will become tiring and more difficult. That's why, i feel sad for our main couple. And i didn't even mention that The King needs a Heir yet... While our main couple are acting like thieves, everyone else got a true happy ending... Especially Luna and Kang Shin Jae in Corea... I totally agree with Jung Eun Chae's description of the story when the cast was playing Jenga "It is a sad Love Story". I like the idea of the drama very much, OSTs, actors. But overall, looking back at the drama as a whole and remembering how much efforts were spent... I think that drama wasn't shown/ completed at it's full potential. Many dots didn't link together after the final episode - it would have been great to get some answers. The whole time traveling thing got me confused and yo-yo boy's mission still wasn't clear to me (i was expecting him to do more in order to help restore the balance), Lee Rim by the end of the show wasn't convincing as a bad guy anymore... These are just several examples. Of course, if i try to re-watch the series in one go from episode one, i might get some clarifications on some parts, but that won't happen to all questions. If you don't deep dive into the plot and watch only for the actors and romance - don't hesitate to try watching it. The drama isn't bad. It is just a bit messy. Everyone had very high expectations of it and set the bar high, which wasn't reached. That's why, there are many contradicting reviews and marks given to the show. In any case, personally, i would suggest to watch it and judge it yourself.

@Lucky Lucky just one more comment below helped to recall the moment when Tae-Eul met our little kid - when she lost her ID on the street, he bumped into her. So no one will be able to convince me that it was Luna with our King.
About the ending, i am a romantic person, so i always hope and want to believe until the very end that it will be a happy ending for our sweet lead couple. I just don't want to even start putting together the facts that might be leading us to the culmination of the story. You can't really predict how the writer will turn the story around. Maybe she will do something like in Goblin: on the one hand, a sad moment, but on the other hand, a satisfactory ending- it was like a roller coaster. So perhaps, something similar will be here as well... 2in1 i would say. In any case, i will pray for the Happy Ending to win this battle.

You are the best! i was sitting and trying to remember where did she meet the kid in Korea and just couldn't recall it. And here you helped to put the puzzle together! Thank you so much! I didn't want to think that it might be Luna even for a slight second so i hoped that at least someone would remember the moment!
Thanks to you i will be able to sleep soundly today XD

Everyone is guessing here, so i will try too XD Remember the moment when Lee Gon was watching CCTV footage of Tae-Eul when she was in Kingdom? And there was a moment when she actually passed the bookstore and the kid. Even though the camera showed that it was in 2022, maybe she somehow remembered the kid from that moment? And that's why she said to him "You are in this world, too..." (Like she saw something from the future before - Lee Gon with Flowers - So why not here as well?). And there must be some reason why Tae-Eul (her badge) got a part of this story in the first place (not Luna)...
Like many people can't trust that she really is Tae-Eul, on the contrary, i can't can't imagine her being Luna XD not only because of all small details that only Tae-Eul knows (by the way, Luna doesn't know Eun-Seop), but also Luna has a completely different character and i can't imagine her playing someone else, pretending isn't her style... That's the feeling she gives me. And what is the most important moment, i don't want to think that our King would make love to Luna instead of Tae-Eul XD XD XD So for me it's definitely Tae-Eul that was brought by Lee Rim to make a deal with Lee Gon to get the second half of the flute
No one knows but i feel like it's Luna and not TE just surprise us
I was actually thinking that it is Tae Eul, that got brought by force by Lee Lim and got harmed and harmed someone while trying to get away from him...
But after reading your comment, it actually also is a possible twist of the story. I remembered Lee Min Ho's comment during one of the interviews where he said that he is anticipating to see Luna's character... That means that she will play an important piece of this puzzle... It's just that they have only 6 episodes left... And Hopefully they will not rush the ending...
I thought that maybe Lee Lim will bring Tae Eul to Republic of Corea and she might be fighting with him while trying to get away and during that time she might harm someone and get harmed herself -> that's where blood comes from...
But after reading a comment below from @Sambart, i think that it also a possible twist of the story...
It seems every episode ends in a flash forward with no context or clues, and the following episode (attempts to)…
Continuing the discussion, i thought that Lee Gon got emotionally distracted (as you phrased) when he understood/ figured out that Lee Lim was always near him/ following him for 25 years and didn't age at all. He was waiting a 70 year old uncle instead of a young middle aged man... So for me it looked like he was quite shocked and that discovery pushed him to go and see Tae Eul...
But i absolutely agree that editing is very messy and it is quite difficult to follow the plot... I really don't know, maybe it was such a strategy to keep things secretive as long as possible, so that people stay hooked. But personally, the last 2 episodes were quite boring... Nothing much happened... Oh well, i still hope for some action in the rest of the episodes and hope that Tae Eul will not become a crybaby who can't do anything and just depend of others. Just keep fingers crossed for the mood and scenes of the drama to recover.
Loved the story. If you are hesitating to watch this drama, just give it a try. You know, it depends on the mood, on your own life, on your expectations, so for one people they felt this story and saw the powerful messages that it has about life, while for other people it isn't their cup of tea. That's absolutely fine. Personally, i think this drama is great: it's not a cliche, it doesn't have perfect lead characters and perfect antagonists - it has real people - with flaws, with bad past, but growing throughout the drama, changing paths, changing minds, learning from each other... Of course, at the end of the day, it remains a drama (if you know what i mean), but nevertheless, it has it's strong points and quite a lot. You need to feel this drama, so if you just want to entertain yourself, then skip it for now and come back when you are ready...
Apparently, this drama was partially filmed in my home country, Estonia. Gotta take a look at this show as soon…
Wow! That's so cool, dear neighbor! I am from Latvia and wish some of k-dramas would have been filmed here as well. I would also love to know which particular moments have been taken in Estonia :)
I have watched 19 episodes and as i started to skip a lot of scenes, i decided to check the comments about the ending. As i remember that someone mentioned that in novel it is a happy one... so i came back here and found out that the ending is not complete, so there will be a sequel. Then i went and spoilt the ending for myself in order to understand if my time and suffering is worth. Thank God, i did it!
I was hoping that Xing'er will return her powers soon enough. And what i see?! ONLY at the end of 67 episodes she awakens!!! Grrrrrr.... no, now i will wait for sequel to come out and maybe only then i will return to this. Honestly, i liked this one so much! Finally, a powerful main lead with great fighting skills and what? No use at all *soab soab*
I really hope that as she awakened in that critical situation, she will use her powers to pull out Yue and will protect him from now on instead of Xun...
Meanwile maybe i will try to find the novel itself to fugure out what happens next...
So guys, see you in season 2. Hope you stay well
After finding out that she will be the only survival... Just can't bring myself to watch this. Too difficult to make nyself to start watching this when knowing that there will be no happy end...
