Just watched episode 6 of Living in the Air and tbh I didnāt know whether to laugh or cry for Rui š Out of 4 āFind the spyā games, he lost every single one. The punishment for losers who donāt get rescued by a "get out of jail card" was eating some seriously questionable food while the others enjoyed nice normal meals š.. 1. His first "treat" was some awful looking, stinky fish that smells like death š Ruiās gagging just from the smellā¦ but he tries to play it cool.....charms everyone about how "tasty" it is...skillfully pretends to eat it ... the only proof he actually didn't... came out when he proudly showed his plate...the fish was still sitting thereš 2. Next round ...some fermented tofu. More gagging. Hao jokes that if Rui loses the next one again, he might mentally collapse š 3. And yep, it's happening...he is mentally collapsing staring at his next ātreatā ..some roasted worms or insects šHe now pleads for a get out of jail card, turning on his best foxy charm to "seduce" Gao Han Yu into giving him one... but Gao doesnāt budge . You can see the despair in his eyes, nervously shaking his leg until Zhi Sheng comes to his rescue and eats them for him like a true hero š 4. And just when you think it canāt get worse ..he has to eat some disgusting looking sea worms. Rui now hits an unseen level of despair..questioning all his life choices...and then Zhi Sheng saves him again, and Hao even gives him his roasted duck because poor Ruiās basically starving at this point š
In Ruiās defense.... his losing streak was more like a series of unfortunate events (and one crazy strategic blunder on his part) ....than a lack of skill šBut his charm was 100% ... those cute facial expressions could melt anyone....saving his skin in 3 out of 4 punishment rounds š ..
And his"strategic blunder"? The director, with his team, feeling sorry for poor Ruiās losing streak, asked him to choose his role in the next roundā¦ spy or civilian .... something no one else got to choose. And Ruiā¦ overly confidentā¦ just saidā¦ āspyā šgot caught cause the hint about the spy given to all players was āloves to play but heās bad at it"š
PF should be coming out this year. Iāve seen lately not just rumors, but also there were comments from the director and producer saying they expect it...and Rosy Clouds... some say Nov...but ok.. heās not the main in that one...
