(Not spoiler, just my thought) I think she is not necessarily a villain, more like someone who made desperate decisions in desperate situation and now regrets it. I doubt she knows everyone is dead.

I haven’t read the novel and from all I can gather or theorise (my theory) is that everyone in Li Shen was killed long ago, more than 5yrs ago and this poor girl has been living in the mountain alone and fending for herself. That would explain the monkeys and the desperate coping mechanisms. But let’s wait and watch.

Ikrrr! I got so used the normal take I forgot that people have trauma. The psychological aspect is so well portrayed, the acting so well done. Honestly, it deserves a 10/10 just for that. You can tell that everyone payed a lot of attention to each aspect of this show. Wonderfully done. Trauma isn’t always obvious or follow the same “symptoms” and I’m glad to see that represented.
