I havenโt read the novel and from all I can gather or theorise (my theory) is that everyone in Li Shen was killed long ago, more than 5yrs ago and this poor girl has been living in the mountain alone and fending for herself. Ikrrr! I got so used the normal take I forgot that people have trauma. The psychological aspect is so well portrayed, the acting so well done. Honestly, it deserves a 10/10 just for that. You can tell that everyone payed a lot of attention to each aspect of this show. Wonderfully done. Trauma isnโt always obvious or follow the same โsymptomsโ and Iโm glad to see that represented.
one thing I finally understood is that the monkeys in her dreams are not monkeys. Those are the people who did not let her escape. Her trauma turned them to monkeys for her to cope better. Iโฆ really pity this girl. (Not a spoiler, just my thought.)
I rewatched this for the first time since it aired. 10/10 then, 10/10 now. I actually teared up when it ended just cause it was so beautiful and I am so reluctant to part. Will definitely rewatch it again some time later. ๐๐๐
