Seeing the mess in Jinxiu politics, its better if FSG can take over Jinxiue as his territory.
It will also eliminate future threat when FYX becomes the Empress as she came from Jinxiu.
Some Jinxiu officials will not be happy with her and might brand her as a spy. But it is different if both Jinxue & Shusha is combine as a kingdom. Both Susha & Jinxiu can live in peace without the need to worry about war too.

I dont see any similarity between Li Qin & Bai Lu. Li Qin has quite a distinct features. The one I think is the most similar is Li Yitong & Bailu. This two is just like a twin😅😅

He is using the Zhuang but FSG almost face death many times because of them. Without FYX's arrow, FSG is long dead due to the conspiracy. The Emperor has no intention to let the 2nd son inherit, but can he stop it when he is dead? The Zhuang is still alive together with the Empress to fight for it. They have so much grudged against FSG. Even when the Emperor on sickbed, he already start to create a narrative that 1st Prince is not suitable to be the Emperor.

The Zhuang can even forge another edict to make 2nd Prince as the emperor. If they can frame the Empress when the Emperor is alive. Then they can also frame FSG when the Emperor is dead. Nothing can stop them to manipulate the situation in their favor.
In the end, FSG might need to go into battle to get the throne.

Her husband change when he becomes the emperor. He is almost like XJS who is too ambious until he disregard all right & wrong. Even FYX also knew his facade later after so many years. In the Empress case, it happen after the Emperor got the throne.

The Empress might not also expect the Emperor to change. That is why she said to FSG, his father becomes a bad person once he is the emperor. He also just let the Zhuang did whatever they want & even frame the Empress.

Their main issue is not only about she wants freedom but the emperor is not happy the empress wont submit to him. She is willing to go against him if she think it is wrong.
Just like how FYX goes against XJS plan even though he said it is for the country.

Some might only see that the Empress wants to take away her children as selfish & care for freedom. But the main issue is the clash of perspective on what is right & wrong. If the Emperor acted like XJS, would you even want to leave your children in his custody?? I think the Empress should has planned it carefully as she is going against the Emperor. Hopefully FSG & XJS learn from the mistakes of others and become a good ruler.

True. I think the Empress must has disagree or against some of the Emperor's decision. For example like how FYX goes against XJS's plan even thought XJS said it is for the the benefit of Jinxiu. Then we see how XJS just dispose FYX as she wont obey to him in everything. The only difference is that FYX & XJS is not married yet.

The Empress seems quite a righteous person who is not willing to go to such extend even if the Emperor said it is for the country. While someone like the Zhuang & his daughter are willing to do so. This clash of view lead to the breakdown of their marriage.

The irony that the Emperor is so ambitious but the Zhuang seems to be able to control the court. He wants FSG to be ruthless but even him cant do anything to the Zhuang. I feel the Emperor is quite useless...LOL. He only knows how to make FSG life harder.

I might be the minority but I dont blame FSG's mother. We only see it from the emperor's point of view. The Empress might also has her reason like the safety of her children. I bet the the Zhuang & his daughter has been scheming many times to dethrone the Empress. Maybe that is why she is tired of it as his husband did not even able to punish the Zhuang. Instead, he is siding with them.

If the emperor insists to make FSG inherit the throne that early, her children must be in bigger danger. Who knows what other bad deeds the Emperor has done too that makes the Empress saying he is a bad person. The Emperor seems quite cold blooded about her death. Agree. Emperor needs loyal court officials to support and help him to govern the country. If not, he might just die after few days ascending the throne as everyone will plot against him left & right🤣

The emperor also unable to do that as he needs other support like the Zhuang to keep the throne. He cant even threaten the officials not to touch the 1st Prince to protect him.

So what did the Emperor even prepare for FSG to ensure he will inherit the throne apart from the Royal edict?? The edict will only read once the Emperor is dead. The court officials can just say that the edict is faked. The Zhuang is capable to do that just like how they plot against the former Empress. FSG has more enemies in the court than friends that support him.

So I am totally curious on how the Emperors behaviour towards FSG can even help him to gain the court trust to inherit the throne?? FSG almost died in the Pingling Battle only to be saved by FYX's arrow that change his fate. The Emperor seems to do more harm than actually helping FSG.

I totally feel sorry for FSG. His father is the one who takes the action against others like Zhuang's son and Murong Yao's father, but all the hatred are channeled to him.
