SJ did technically get kidnapped when they were younger. However SJ in the past is not Lee Tae Hwan's current SJ character. The SJ we know from the past is actually Park Seo Joon (YJ) charachter.
However Lee Tae Hwan's charachter guilt tripped himself so bad, that he started to believe he was the one that was kidnapped and the one bullied when they were younger. Essentially making himself believe he was Park Seo Joon. Therefore they sort of switched names/identities. Making Park Seo Joon YJ instead of SJ. And making Lee Tae Hwan SJ instead of YJ.
With everything we know the childhood oppa is 100% Park Seo Joon (YJ). But we also know that the childhood oppa's name is Lee Sung Yeon (SJ). So that means that Park Seo Joon (YJ) used to be called Sung Yeon. So why would they switch names? Lee Tae Hwan (current SJ) guilt tripped himself into believing he was kidnapped and bullied.
Young Joon is not clearing the misunderstanding because he doesn't remember the incident.. And I think the hyung…
YJ definetly knows what went down. It's clearly implied in this episode that YJ picked Mi So as his assistant, because he knew her. He even asked her if she knew who he was....and he was disappointed when she thought he was the Chairman's son. He expected her to know him from 9 years ago, but was disappointed to find out she didn't remember.
He clearly never said anything, because he doesn't want to dig up painfull memories. He even says at the end of the episode that some memories are better being forgotten.
And yeah the older brother most likely guilt tripped himself into believing he was the victim.
Remember that scene where Mi So just started out...and Yeong Joon sits next to her and asks "Do you know who I am?".......he didn't ask because he was the CEO and wanted to know if she knew him....he asked because he knew her from that kidnapping 9 years ago. It all makes sense now....holy shit.
Is it only me, or are ALL close-ups of Park Min Young of her left face side. Like she told the producer beforehad:…
I'm pretty sure Min Young said in an interview or BTS video, that she said that the left side of her face is her better side and asked Park Seo Joon, if she could use that side in most of the shots and he agreed. Which is why you're seeing her left face in all of the close ups. Pretty good job noticing it. I knew about it beforehand, but it hasn't bothered me that much.
Holy shit what happened to its rating. Wasnt it at 9.0 at one point? was planning on watching it
Honestly I felt it was such a drag to watch at one point. It was just down right frustrating, the mother, the female lead herself, storylines going nowhere, storylines taking the entire season to end up getting resolved off screen. Everything being resolved in the last 20 minutes, which made absolutely no sense. I spent 18 or so hours into this and I regret it.
I hope this doesn't end in romance. Because not all male female relationships need to go down that road.... And…
Director and the actors of the show have stated multiple times that there isn't a romance story between the leads, so unless they lied for some reason there won't be any romance between the leads.
