Second lady Xie gaining a braincell and maturity after marriage wasn't something I thought I'd see in my lifetime lolol

I'm so pissed with qingyuan rn.. girl can't you see the bigger picture? Taking down her father isn't an easy job and def not something she can pull off alone. Also going against the emperor to do this immediately is also so immature of her. Like why are we accepting the heir's proposal so early? The marquis household doesn’t know about her revenge scheme, who knows if they will even support her or not. Also this so called angst with shen run isn't angsting at all!! Instead of feeling bad for their separation I'm mad at them🤦🏻‍♀️

Such a binge-worthy show! Watching 1-2 eps daily during work is good!

First six episodes review.
-The pacing is so fast, so many things happening so quickly in the first episode that I lost track and the episode ended before I could even catch up. This type of dramas with so many characters especially with a family this big needs time to introduce the characters. I really wish we got more depth. But then I realized bc of 30 eps they have to fasten the pacing so yeah.
-The production quality is absolutely gorgeous. The sets are so refreshing and beautiful. The costumes and the colors omg!! Really love the color theme of the drama. Such a feast for my eyes haha.
-The story itself isn't something new and can feel like predictable ig? But I'm still curious about different characters and how the dynamics will unfold.
-The acting is pretty amazing! First time watching Zhou ye in a historical drama and her acting in emotional scenes were SOOO good. Xu Kai's micro expressions are definitely worth mentioning! They both look great together and feel the chemistry there.
-The second male lead seems to be annoying although the actor is very handsome! I loved his military uniform looks from overdo so much. I hope his character here doesn’t turn into a bitter villain later
-Her sisters omg.. Second sister is the classic ragebaiter. Third one seems her underdog, tho I have some sympathy for her because I like to believe she was manipulated by the head wife? But the eldest sister and her mom seems good! Only good people in that house so far.

rated it a 9.5/10, but it may change as I watch more eps but them beating the shi out of that nanny was so satisfying lol
