Just decided to drop this series, although most Asian series many times don’t make sense, this was too stupid . A you had a chance to expose Mi Lu and get custody of son once she proved she framed her for embezzlement. What was the point of prolonging something that you intended to do eventually anyway. Mi Lu would have probably broke down and exposed Zhou yuan crime against An yu’s family, and then find another obstacle, and develop their love story, with the other woman in Shao Moli’s life and developing her relationships with her son. Gaining her financial independence. But they wanted her to appear dumb and trust and let the same people who sent her prison for 4 years and separated her from her son in the first place and indirectly caused her father’s death, off the hook. The first dumb thing was to sign any contract with her ex husband or his wife. The whole show was full of hypocrites, they all just stood by and watched all the injustices being done until it affected them personally, even the jealousy of the two younger brothers had for the oldest brother , because the father favored him , I t can say from my own experiences that parents sometimes favor the child who has the better temperament, and is more obedient, the most real person of all in the show was the main wife zhang chunhua, and the oldest son she was really for the good of the family she married into,he seemed to be for the good of the family too, even forgive his younger brother for killing his wife, because she might tell what she saw to her brother. I couldn’t stand the the concubine, she seemed always trying to compete with the first wife, and when it came to her son, who didn’t, fear or respect her or his family , she kept his secret at the expense of the oldest brother being tortured and expediting of the main wife death due to heartache and worrying about her son’s safety when she knew her son had something to do with and that. The oldest son was innocent. Then she had the nerve to talk about maintaining your reputation and being for the family, when she was really for herself and her son. I was sort glad to see her die, she didn’t deserve to get the respect and attention she got from Sima yi and the rest of the family, such a fake. Even Hou ji stood by and didn’t really protest about Sima yi actions until his girlfriend was killed. A bunch of hypocrites. Even Cao Rui killing his stepmother just because his father loved her and not his mother, after she saved him and raised him. No gratitude at all from any of them. I like gao Wei guang , I think he’s very handsome and has aged well. I think I have pretty much watched all his dramas including the most recent one where is a vampire. Enjoying this series as well, I’m not as familiar with the FL , I don’t know if I have ever seen her before, but I’m enjoying her acting after I really got into the series. Initially she came a little too silly, but she can switch to other character types as well. She’s pretty good, will watch this and everlasting longing again . Love S ong Wei Long too
