I have the exact same feelings! So I keep putting it on hold to come back to, I usually don't take more than a month to complete a drama of this length, this one is taking me 3x as long.

Thanks for asking that's sweet of you, I actually wasn't aware of the age gap. I am not very familiar with Seven or her dramas (I just don't personally feel very inclined to keep up with her releases) so I came in watching just because I like Xu Kai and the plot sounded promising. I do think it is kind of hard to just say right off why I didn't feel their chemistry, just personal opinion and how I feel watching them when they are together. It isn't the first drama I have felt lack of chemistry between leads but this is the first comment section I have been on in the 5 years I've been on mydramalist that people will get upset at you for saying it, so I appreciate you asking! 🙂

It isn't illegal but it also just isn't nice to use that figure of speech just because we don't have the same viewpoint. I have never commented on this drama's page before 2 days ago and did not say the word rating. Again, I'm truly glad you enjoyed the drama and if XK and Seven have another role together, I will genuinely be happy for you and those who like ABAY but for those of us that didn't enjoy this drama as much that is totally okay too. Yes but please be careful in using it as it is a figure of speech that still implies the use of substances. That's true and I never said anything at all about the drama ratings. At the end of the day we all enjoy different dramas, 100% great. I never said anything other than my personal opinion on how my own experience watching it has been nor do I use other people's ratings high or low to determine if I personally like a drama.

I'm on ep 28 and am personally struggling to keep watching this one. I think Xu Kai is great but the chemistry between the ML and FL feels lacking to me

It was okay. Don't watch it for the romance (even though it is ironically in the title). It was interesting at first but got a bit dry and the ending wasn't very satisfying to me. Had we gotten the romance it would have been better. Sanha did great in his role though!

I'm rewatching this one right now. I saw it a few years ago and liked but I love it even more this time - the ML is so good with the FL. Such a gem!

I just finished episode 6 and I am actually really enjoying it in spite of the mixed comments. A really good cast - Sanha is fantastic and Minho is so cute. The OSTs are really pretty (happy Deobi here). I think it is a good watch for something not too complicated, yet interesting which is what I usually look for.

Still going through but this drama is so far quite good. Not a fluffy romance but I actually find it "relatable" for a lack of a better word. I have Chinese parents and so the parent/children dynamic is done very well and relatable. I know I've seen a lot of comments about the mom but she reminds me a lot of what my grandparents were like and a little of my own in some instance. The drama gives a good perspective of both sides because while it is hard to accept and love the nagging, meddlesome, loud part of the mom, I think it also shows her true feelings and how she wants to give her children everything, even though she goes about it wrong. It's frustrating at times and she shouldn't have done a lot of things but I can't help but see her true intentions as well.

I like the plot and the cast and I am used to mini dramas being often times a bit too rushed, but this drama keeps jumping around so much that it is confusing and hard to watch. I think the ML and FL would have better chemistry if the flow was better, it is so hard to keep up with what is going on.

An okay drama I guess. The storyline wasn't my favorite, I wouldn't watch it again, but I liked Song Kang with YooJung so I made it through the drama.

I actually found this quite enjoyable! I appreciated the chemistry between the ML and FL, it isn't a stellar storyline but it kept my interest all the way though.

The element of forgiveness was the highlight of the drama and will say the ML was great.

However, plot itself is not my favorite, the constant lack of communication was a bit frustrating and the ending of the storyline is very unclear.
