Fan Xiao knew Shu Lang's principles and that he would never cheat on Zhen Zhen and that's when the tricks started. He had to ensure that Shu Lang was vulnerable enough to accept him which is why he pulled all those stunts. Quite frankly I understand his character...the obsession I don't. Money, power and greed were already a part of him given his family and upbringing. What other outcome could we expect? He only changed when he knew there was nothing he could do to erase the damage he had done to the man who he was now in love with.
Analysis of characters: Toh: Very shy, never dated since he was a virgin hence the confusion of WANTING TO MAKE A MAN FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU. Remember when at some point you loved/liked someone who you knew wasn't good for you but YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD CHANGE HIM? That's a lot of us so I understand his timid nature. Overall he is kind-hearted and considerate, great brother and friend.(To this point) Teh: Bold in how he confesses to his pursuit of Fah. He's also quite protective of Toh Jimmy: Seductive , calculative. Loving...we see he loves his cat so much, dude cried for it. Though the way he described his relationship with his cat felt more like comfort. Looks like a character that craves love and affection but there's a loose screw somewhere in his head that makes him a casanova. Fah: Straight-forward, observant. Seems like he's liked Teh even before the trip and hook-up. He'll probably figure everything out before everyone else does. The Chemistry between the 2 couples is rather appealing to the viewer
