I grew up again with Sang Zhi and Jiaxu and fell in love all over again.
I was 15 when I started watching dramas. I’m 30 now, romance in dramas doesn’t capture me as much now. I want to fall in love again like I used to and this drama made it happen. I’m writing this crying because it ended and it was just too good. This drama was perfect, from start to end, their love story and how it progressed. I’m craving more even now. She got her dream and the little girl in me lived my own dreams with her. The slow way their love this progressed. I thought it might feel weird since they met when she was so small, but their story gradually passed through time and blossomed in a beautiful way. I loved it so much.Was this review helpful to you?

True enemies to lovers done right! Equally strong leads are so rare! Best drama!
Li Qin and Chen Zheyuan are truly a power couple here! the chemistry and acting from the start was sizzling hot and I found myself unable to stop watching! This drama is going to be so hard to get over from. I am a huge Chen zheyuan fan and I fell in love all over again! How can one man be so gorgeous yet so breathtakingly amazing! LiQin has also made me such a big fan! She’s truly a force and her bond with the prince is amazing… no triangles, no unnecessary drama or misunderstandings. Just pure equal support and love, their relationship is truly a rare sight even in drama land. While I found myself filling my eyes at the motives of all the villains (cough murong yao), the story pace, the trials the leads went through kept me hooked and I’m truly sad it’s ended but with a happy fuzzy feeling in my heart.Was this review helpful to you?
Those who haven’t read the book can’t understand how perfect this is.
This drama was as close to the book while retaining its own essence. People hating in attitude details in the last episode have obviously not read the novel and why it was added. I do wish his reason for going and disappearing was made same as the book because imo it had a stronger effect but still I loved how they wrapped up everything nicely. if you know the novel is pretty long and I was worried how it would be composed in only 12 episodes. I do love the drama a lot. Yoo Yeon suk will forever remain my favourite actors, he owns each character he portrays. The book however had a lot of things I found better than the drama. the reason for the car crash one of them. In A was the one who noticed that paek sa eon was different from when she saw him before. it’s she who they tried to kill. her brother wasn’t the target. Anyways the list of pros and cons between both the novel and the drama is too long. I loved them both individually. it’s a must watch drama. I adore hidden love and this one is great but the inconsistencies in the characters are a turn off.
First off I have no problem with Bai Jing. he’s amazing. He is a total green flag, the best lover and every girls dream but man I wish he had atleast some similarities to the Sang Yan we knew and loved in HL too. I’m missing the sibling bickering, the family coziness they had, and most of all I’m missing his friendship with juaxu! This Sang Yan is only about his obsession with yifan. It seems like he has no life, no other attachment in life except her. Even when they’re apart. I get it it’s his POV and about his love life but come on , they turned a fun and loving guy into an only obsessive lovey guy who only cares about one girl and not even his own family. I found it hard to finish the last few episodes, it felt boring, too repetitive, and it just lacked charm. I could watch HL twenty times over and still love each scene. This I can’t. Also I respect Yifans story and her trauma. I’m all for a good story but yifans character was boring. She’s pretty only, she’s half dead in half the drama and schoolgirl shy in the rest. Sang Yan deserved more come on, he suffered more alone.Also I don’t get why they fell in love. Because she was pretty? okay I get that but she had no character , no charm , no personality! Such obsessive love deserves atleast more depth of personality. even drunk she’s boring. Gosh I feel like such a hater but I wish wish this was as good as hidden love was. true hidden love was a simpler story but the EMOTIONS man.. it was a roller coaster. this was a slow train and I didn’t feel euphoric at the end.
Everything that connected HL to TFF is inconsistent. Firget actors, I don’t mind them having new actors but atleast keep their personalities, their timelines , their roles the same. Okay even if I don’t compare the two even then TFF is okay but not the best. still I’m rating it 9 stars because I love this world too much and I loved Sang Yan a lot. Just wish he had Victor Ma’s humor and spunk too. peace out .

Dumber and dumber! they’re cute but damn I hate guessing games!
update: I finally pushed through and finished it. the last two episodes picked up the pace or the drama was getting dragged on and lost a lot of interest! my biggest beef with the drama now is how they killed wei liang!!! I mean the killed tge sweetest wei ever and I felt so sad and traumatised by his ending! they could have killed any of the other Wei brother! Gosh why ? I hate sad endings! They created the perfect ending and then ruined it with a fresh set of problems only to kill off so many beloved characters to finish that stupid problem. we all should have stopped watching at episode 32. anyways I’m still rating it an 8.5 rounded off to 9 because it’s still a complete and happy ending for most. I’m glad it’s over now.Firstly I should not have started this after Fated Hearts! I realise that now but damn this drama has 9 rating! why??? sure its cute but enemies to lovers? really? this seems like friends to lovers after fated hearts. plus how dumb do you have to be? I get it it’s cute and funny but the whole start of them falling in love is filled with her giving hints and him being dumb followed by him giving her hints and her being dumb! these guys wouldn’t have a love story if wei liang and xiao Tao were not there. I have yet to complete this drama so I will update later but gosh they’re so slow. it’s not even a slow burn it’s just boring! I want to be hooked until I can’t stop. The drama started out strong, I was binging it but somewhere after episode 16-17 I started dragging through it. I wanted more chemistry, something electric but instead all we got was missed hints and failure to deliver. I’m not asking for passionate love scenes but atleast show some spark! Also I hate so much political drama and side stories which only lead to dull outcomes! Anyways that’s all I can say till now but for now mt rating has dropped
