Hi Winnie :) Sounds like some very nice movies! I am guessing it's temporary but I do want to catch up with some of the recent ones. Nine Time Travel is pretty good overall, quite entertaining, the writer has imagination, though I wonder if they watched Steins Gate Oh yes, Englush vinglish is a really lovely movie. I loved that one. When I watched it I kept thinking about Lost in Translation. Have you seen Lost in Translation? You know, one of my favourite fragments in English Vinglish is when she asks why the USA/UK but India and not the India. So pregnant with meaning, even though it's such a seemingly innocent question. In general I just loved hiw she wasn't a passive heroine but took matters into her own hands and showed her family that they shouldn't take her for granted. I'm really glad you liked it.

Sorry for the name change ;-) I was in a mood to change to something more simple. I am finding BladeySteeleye a bit too pretentious.
What? So Lee Seo Jin is actually having a new drama in 2014? Hope you're having a good rest.
I don;t know to be honest.I'll have to keep searching. I hate not knowing what I want and some of the dramas I;m interested in haven't finished airing yet.

Well I took to searching and found this http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20170 It;s pretty interesting to see some of those pictures, they pretty much look the same as they are now, but then it makes me wonder when those pictures were released and how.
It's sad overall to see regular Korean teens giving in to the peer pressure and doing it early on. I was just watching a video a friend showed to me - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCKShGLyeK0 and I thought they must be really insecure and uncertain of their own selves to do it and that's what sad. In seeking approval they'll go to any length with at least tacit approval from society. That's what irritates me about plastic surgeries in celebs probably - because they keep it up and the circle goes on. haha, I confess I pay little attenton to teeth though. That's me, Bladey. Hope I haven't confused you.

Hi there Sarah. How's it going? I'm curious about your thoughts on Sword and Flower, you rated it low. After a long break in dramas Sword and Flower was the first saeguk I picked up and found myself liking it, I felt the drama was consistent in maintaing a certain mood. The actor base was very strong, especially Kim Ok Bin.

Hi Farah. wondering how you are, hope things are going well for you. I finished Hanzawa Naoki. It was really great, though I have some fears about Hanzawa. He's like too aggressive.

I have a question for you. Are you bothered at all bu the fact that most Korean actors and actresses have had so many plastic surgeries? Sometimes I myself wonder. On the one hand american actors do it all the time but it seems to be than Koreans are far more obsessed on this point and it bothers me a lot these days for some reason. I find Japanese actors far more natural in this respect. When the actors are good I find it especially sad if they had many surgeries because I find it sad that they felt they had to conform in order to get to the top.

Oh I've been there too. There were moments when I came to MDL in an extremely irritated work-related stress and it;s then that the immaturity of fangirls got to me the most. Like really, but there's not much we can do, we're the adults who have to be wiser. There is a website forum specifically for PhD students -
http://www.postgraduateforum.com/ maybe someone there will be able to offer some pointers, maybe know something about funding opportunities as well. Sometimes you can find PhD funded projects through your university's carreer service - maybe they are able to offer a job advertising website.
There is one in the UK- jobs.ac.uk, or prospects.ac.uk they offer a subscriptiom service too. I think they can advertise for the entire world so maybe you can chech this out even if you;re not from the UK. You seem to be really into it so I really hope things will work out for you :)

I'm here because i looked at your comment on Juniko's feeds. What do you expect to find on a website that is predominantly fangirl based? Don't let comments of get to you. Interesting profile description. As a PhD student in literature about to finish the degree I want to wish you the best of luck, particularly with the presitgious university part.

I see. Well thats what you get when a hollywood director tries to make a remake politically correct. Ah hell. I'm not watching it anyway. But too bad, I hope at least people will be encouraged to see the original.
