I'm not sire about Cruel City. May Queen was better than Secret storywise as far as I"m concerned, at least character motivations were better explored. Secret barely even scratched the surface. Good morning Edina. Not at all :) Please keep calling me as you like. Nine was a very interesting drama. Not as good as Steins; Gate for time travel but I felt the writer had a thorough vision of the story and offered a good genre mix. The majority of the story was typical korean melodrama but with the added time travel element; there were also elements of romantic comedy. All in all pretty good. How are you?

:P Well I was never really very open about what I do, either. But then I saw how many different people come to MDL with so many different professions, experiences that I stopped hiding so much. But I also seem to bump into medics quite a bit, there are some psychologists and teachers. I think this is the best about MDL it feels like a genuinely close community. I'd hate to lose this feeling, I really think we have something extremely wortwhile here. And re thesis, thank you, I really WANT it to end at this point, as it has been a looong road.

LOL Well...I am studying to be a Doctor, that part is right...but of Literature :P I"m working on an English literature PhD at the moment, I'm at the finish line.

I need to finish my thesis but I've been hurrying with stuff so much over the past few months that I simply got tired of it and decided to just stop and take a breath there for a while. That's the pressure from their bosses. There have been cases of overwork suicides too, which had that boss pressure in the background. I think when it comes to Cha Seung Won a lot of is hairstyle. I hardly recognized him on the cover of the movie south of the border even though he's not all that strikingly different but in several dramas - City Hall, The greatest Love, he sported a similar kind of look that kinda stuck to him. Any different and he becomes practically unrecognizeable. Chameleon, he seems to be.

I like tracking down actors with a likeable screen presence and Jae Hee does have that likeable appeal. He's had some really outstanding roles- in 3-iron but then some really poor roles but I do like seeing him on screen. Delightful Girl Choonhynag happens to be one of two Hong sisters drama I can tolerate. I did sort of like his character in May queen and could see where he was coming from with his plan but he was undeniably acting out a noble idiot in that drama.

Hope he will be better used in the future. What's with the low score of his latest film Crimes of Passion? Is the film that bad?

he tends to overact with his facial expressions, doesn't he? I find him characteristic for this reason but viewers may be a bit put off by this. It makes me dislike any character he plays. I always think he;s going to do something nasty the next minute. He's been typecast too much I guess.

Kim Ok Bin to jakies odkrycie, strasznie naturalna wydala mi sie w swojej roli. co do reszty dramy mozna dyskutowac w sumie, bo troche moze za bardzo probowali eksperymentowac ze wszystkim. Widzialam na forum ze skonczylasz niedawno Jewel in the palace i ze Ci przypadla do gustu. Ciesze sie, bo to jedne z lepszych saegukow jakie mialam tez przyjemnosc ogladac.

All the buzz is really making me curious about this drama. I hope I can watch it one day. I'll keep it on my PTW.

I"m glad to hear that. I think we just gotta love when they set up the scene in such detailed manner, childhood makes us bond with characters a lot more. I am just contemplating what to watch and I confess I feel a little empty after finishing Nine times Time Travel but I still eant to watch something, something riveting. Even if something riveting turns out to be makajng that I'll hate in the end lol. I"m thinking of starting Scandal, the makjang drama that aired this year.

well I was marathning it and i;ve seen some time travel mopvies so I"m a little used to the mechanics, the writer pulled some good ideas. But the changed attitude resulted, I think, from her being afraid for him. He gree obsessed withmaking sure his brother goes to jail; She later understood what was happening since for some reason she was able to remember the alternate memroes of the life she never had- this one was a bit less credible, although this one I"ve seen as well. It's a bit hard to believe she would remember the life that was alterened and never changed. So how is Warrior?

It's a good drama, the writer seems to have a thorough vision of it. It suffers from being to long. The later half of the series starts to drag but I really liked the ending. The main character was good and likeable, his friend as well. The girl love interest was annoyngly childish and underdeveloped. I really liked the ending though. The guy created at least four different alternate realities and the ending brought them together in one further twist. I think the writer was able to skilfully combine elements of typical korean melodrama with romantic comedy, crime and time travel. Pretty good for a time travel in a korean drama, and more interesting than standard time travels done in k-dramas so far. I was entertained enough. The ending, again, is a plus.
