Not sure; the adaptation is meant for HBO as a series since I don't have TV I probably won;t be able to watch it so I"m not following it. I will let you know if I hear of any major update or release. lol. it must look interesting and I can imagine the feeling if anime suddenly being brought to life, must be really weird. Frankly the live adaptations I've seen a long time ago put me off Zettai Kareshi, I didn't even think there may be anime of it. The person originated from Poland, actually. Her name is Eva Hoddman and Lost in Translation is a fascinating read. An itnrospective, linguistic memoir of how a foreigner adapts to new reality and at what costs. Don;t apologize for writing many comments, I love talking ... err writing in this case :D

Oh you changed avatar! It's mysterious, nice feel to it overall. Makes me think of Doctor who for some reason (I never watched doctor who, not yet at least). Really? It is absurd, but I guess it's understandable if you get attached to the ideal shipper pair. I don;t usually take any specific sides, only if the second lead is whining too much. I m growing too curiousnow, I think I will start with 1997 soon. I know Tsumabuki but I only met him in Long Love Letter, a drama I really liked, the leads there were really great. Yosuke Kubozuka is also a skilled actor. I started watching Tenchijin one day but at the time I couldn't commit. In fact I'm planning to watch this along with other Japanese historicals. These are more factual and accurate than saeguks. but that's why to watch them I need to be in a "I want to expand my horizons" mood. I do hope you'll keep enjoying it.

undoable in live action. They shouldn't have tried that in my humble opinion not that I care about Sailor moon though it was the first anime I watched...with my grandmother. Good times. There is als anime called lovely complex. Pretty fun romcom. I watched the film and couldn;t take it. I don;t like cuteness in live-action film, especially not of the cutesy hearts type. It's fitting for anime but doesn;t translate to the other, not very well, it clashes with it too much. Me neither. it's striking to think how cultural body becomes too. There is a memoir by a person who moved to Canda and she had to change her entire concept of beauty. I can;t imagine how difficult that must be.

I think we are used way too much too computer graphics nowadays. It's all fine if the story is good but I dared watched SOA and...I groaned. Pretty art but that's about all there was to it as far as I"m concerned. Actually there are plans to make Monster into a live action...Guillermo del Toro is making a series because he 's in love with the story too. Ohh Galactic heroes had stage plays? It's interesting, but isn't it a bit difficult in this case? Setting and all. With Monster it's a bit easier, the story is captivating and the setting is realistic. But I do agree casting is difficult. Itazura na kiss for instance. I like the anime version but I can;t for the world of me like any of the live versions. It's some sort of a strange bias that I can accept the story as anime but can;t really tolerate actors. There is another issue with, say, magical girl anime. Sailor moon, prime example.

Sukitte Inayo is the perfect material for an idol drama that could have mass appeal, if cast with well-loved idols. I think chances are girls would love it. I really don't think Pretear would work well, its much like Sailor Moon and if they tried to be faithful, and most of live actions try to be faithful to the anime, the result would not be watchable. I think the recently trendy anime Kamisama Hajimemashita would sooner work as a drama.

I know you;re very specific on this point in your profile, I do enjoy reading it, it's very informative :) Nope, right now I"m just chilling out at MDL :) I'll watch something tomorrow bt I need to get through tomorrow first. I'm actually working on something for tomorrow at the moment I just keep the window open to take breaks and peruse MDL. It feels like I"m working surrounded by friends, I like that feeling - it's extra motivation. I will sit down with Reply soon, probably. As long as they aren't too dragg. I do see, however that newest reply seems to be causing quite the shipping debate :) I hope either of the team won't be too disappointed when end comes, usually it's pretty easy to guess who the second lead is supposed to be. How is Tenchijin so far? Living up to your expectations?

Hi! Thanks for the friend request, it's nice to meet you :) I definitely agree with your observation about Japanese dramas. The queen's classrom is a reallly good teacher-student story and certainly one of my favourites. Good luck in building up your drama list :)

Oh I find this, sadly, to be the case with anime targeted to a certian viewer group. Monster has never been very popular either, apparently because most youngsters found the art to be too realistic and not pretty enough. Art in Monster is very realistic, old-school, which is its big plus. I would love to hear what you think when you do get a chance to see it. It's shorter than Galactic Heroes, it's just about 74 (riveting) episodes. I've seen various animes but seriously I am still blown away by that one. Ohh I know the feeling. But that's part of the funof this game: just as you're on the verge of giving up, something does crop up and your interest is refreshed. Magic! Oh, yes. Thank you for the title. You're brave for trying it, I was put off by the very idea, there are enough signals in film and advertisement and even shops that ideally we should all be anorexic.

As with anything for games too I try to find some hidden gems. I always enjoy good stories. In otome games of late I was satisfied with 1931 Shehrezade at the library of Pergamum again by an indie developer. Very satisfying mechanics there for me. I think we are bound to find some fantastic things but a lot of these indie developers are struggling to emerge. It's often frustrating that the most worthwhile things are well-hidden why mediocrity rules, but that's wh I love researching. The joy of discovery is immense, no matter what you look for. In otome console games I also have some thical problems. There was a game about wieght loss which I found to be partocularly disgusting from description itself, I think it was handheld game. Can't remeber the name.

I think there have been many many changes from the manga as far as bokurano is concerned. Indeed but I found Terra epilogue to be particularly hopeful. The after end credits scene in the final episode. I'll have to read the manga one day too. The Nazca destruction made me shiver. The good thing about it was that nothing was overdone and characters were to be emphatised with..on both sides. But I still wanted the series to be a bit longer. Monster is a complex story. I have never seen as story as comprehensive and complex as Monster. There are many characters, who contribute meaningfully to the narrative and the story goes quite deep. It's psychological/thriller/suspense/mystery/drama that I was absolutely blown away by. I do recommend it. It's actually better than a lot of dramas.

Yeah, I rated it 5. It;s the usual from Hong sisters, they repeated "The Greatest Love: to a T but added ghosts...they probably wanted to make up for the Big fail last year. I think they managed to cover it, exceot Master's sun is the usual Hong offering following everything they did so far..they started to copy themselves. They aren;t very inspired writers. I loved the ending of Nine. I absolutely love open ended ending and in this case to me the suggestion was thhat because another Sun woo from 2033 came back, then the new 2013 sun woo will not have to go back to the past so he won;t get killed in 1993 and perhaps willa ttend his own wedding instead :P but I think there are many ways of looking at it. That's what I LOVE about it. Sandrose is a type of a crystal formation, it usually forms in desert regions in hot and dry climate.
