:P I bet you do :P he'd be my second choice for a husband Song Il Gook would be first (too beautiful) but he's married and has three adorable kids. I was just talking with a friend the other day and we came to the conclusion that if the triplets all become actors, it would give a hell lot more validity to twin storylines in kdramas. It could be interesting. have a lovely sunday...Mrs Lee :P

LOOOOL I was just starting to read one of your reviews (for Love 911 since I was curious if it had any unenthusiastic reviews), and I went like whaaaat Mrs Leo Seo Jin :D So I rushed here instead of finishing the review. Lucky woman...you sure do know how to pick your men ;-) I really like this change :) by the way, I used to be known as Bladey in case you may be surprised as to who I am.

Actually they solved it in a simple manner. The setting was in school so all plotlines were represented by different peop;e. The story of the game was essentially about a guy who gets a second chance at life and in each life he has to help the various people until he arrives at the true ending. I was really nice though, I liked the idea. His stats at first increased very slowly but the more cycles you completed, the easier it became. Not really but I went on and googled it. It sounds really compelling. What exactly is disturbing about it?

I was referring to both versions. the earlier version seems less like telenovela in retrospect but the newer version had some additions that made some characters better. HZGG 3 the original series is very hard to find. I watched it without english subs just to see the story even though I couldn;t understand a thing.

I'm glad to hear that and thank you. Not the Chaser, but Chase, a 2010 j-drama. It wwas very good, an investigavtive-buisness drama cented on two characters, but Arata stars in it and he stole the show. Lots of things to think about there including hiw people's decisions afect others. How long is golden rainbow?

haha. I see. Thank you for your reply. Sounds like other characters may turn into a meaningless and redudant background. Well the drama sounds interesting, I was just a little wary of it because I am afraid it may turn into something like take care of us captain and I don't want to see that, take care was the ultimate drama disaster heh.

that my taste is all over the place too haha. That's why I was able to enjoy, initially, Huan zhu Ge ge and jade palace for what it was, but then I dedcided it's more of a guilty pleasure because the inaccuarcies were killing me on rewatch. My brain was telling me not to give in at all costs especially when the story no longer harmonised with my sense of historical reality. I don;t recognize inaccuarcies in Chonse history because I don;t know it all that well, but I can recognize if there is a gross misues of , say, medical technique that wasnlt even known widely then. That being said, I will look forwar dot hearing what you think after you watch the series. I still think you will find them cute no matter the inaaccuracies.

Yes. there were at least 10 story arcs- you need to complete them all first before attempting the character route that leads to True ending. That's because you need to see and experience everything. It is pretty darn detailed!

Ohhh you actually started working on a game? Fn. Maybe one day you may revisit the project or use the writing for something else. You never know, life is really full of surprising situations that require surprising solutions :)

Ahhh ha! The tsudenere...I confess he "killed" me too :P He was like "leave me be" and then like "don't go anywhere". Overall the game fulfilled its purpose. It was fun but mechanics was diffocult to predict - it wasn;t clear what would happen with a choice, kinda liked it though because a lot of games promise "choices affect the future" but in many cases it;s obvious HOW they affect that future.

Funny you should say that, I think

I heard Lan Ling had likeable characters so I will also eventually watch it...as long as it remains fairyl accurate. Chinese seem to have a problem with historical research in some cases. I think I will watch Three Kingdoms first though. So many dramas to enjoy, so little time. I honestly wish time would stop.

Hi Sarah. Ohhh you;re right I think I must have missed it. I"m sorry :( The problem with Sword and Flower was they were trying to be a little too experimental initially but later story settled in; I think I am able to overlook some inaccuracies in this instance since the focus was Choong and the princess. I loved the General too. Ha. You think what I do about MAster's sun. Iwatvhed it, Master's sun actually pulled me back to dramas even though it;s as weak as you say, though ghosts were nice. Hong sisters give a bad name to romcosm, I"m afraid :/ But oh well. they do what sells. I want to watch KeeSonShin for Jo Jung Suk. But maybe not at the moment. Nankyoku Tairiku is one of the best stories based on real events ever. I'm glad you liked it. I know how JIN 2 ends as far as I remember but I need to rewatch both dramas to put JIN2 on the list because I don't rembemer all the details.

early 18th century China. That was not a very commonplace method at the time as far as I know so it strikes me very much if I see this kind of thing going off for the sake of drama only. It just makes me think how much attention these writers actually pay to research. Sacrifcing accuracy for romance doesn't build credibility..but it really depends what you want in a drama. I think both Jade palace and huan zhu ge ge offer fairuly innocent and at times likeable escapism and may well be in stark contrast to Three Kingdoms which as you say seems to focus strongly on accuracy.

these are committed for the sake of increasing the effect of drama or romance but they are terribly at odds and even without knowing chinese history I can tell you that Huan zhu Ge ge is mostly pure romance that nonetheless has some likeable and cute leads. It's just as colourful as jade palace too, very vivid colours, costumes, eyecandy landscapes, lots of music so it depends. If you love Three Kingdoms, I have a feeling you may not like the other two too much because Three Kingdoms belongs to reality which respects history while jade palace and huan zhu ge ge seem to sacrifice history for the sake of generating drama.

When I made this point on viki, I was told that dramas need anachronisms because otherwise they become a history lesson and boring. I can appreciate the need for small anachronisms but not for gross factual errors like, e.g. mouth to mouth resuscitation in

That does sound very interesting. speaking of reincarnation, there is another indie game called Shira Oka: Second chances. The game mechabics there is that you have to keeo getting reborn until you reach the True ending. on your way, you get a dozen other endings and get to bond with characters you're helping. Kind of intersting, but it's a looong and a little repetitive game, still quite well done with as much variation as they could possibly fit in.

Hahahaha! I remeber the whitehaired monk. I remember the ending quite vivdly, it was a little uncomfortable. They went to the wild west. I liked the first set endings best- that is the red-heaed and the blue-haired boduguard.

Well, I think if you can handle jade palace, you can handle huan zhu gege. The original series is better but both unfortunately fall into the maudlin. There are factual errors and historical errors..

Hi there. I was going through comments on Miss Pilot and read through yours. It wasn't much of a spoiler and I thought it made interesting observation regarding what you interestingly call a farewell. And I began to wonder- how strong is the drama on presenting the context it's set in? How about those cheesy previews? You seem to be keeping up with the drama so I guess it's not that bad despite some of the fears you expressed. Does the show live up to what it promises to deliver?

Not that I"m criticisng it, it;s just that I am really impressed with the romance comedies with screwball elements from 40s through well late 50s. Golden time for films, especially genre films.
