I guess that was just my convluted way of asking why just superhero movies are played. I just remember though we may have talked about before. Nah, I"m just joking, it's very nice though. Interesting things are happening on MDL, everyone really make the place seem like one big family :)

I see, I guess they go bu what's a possible blockbuster? Captain Philipps is about how merchant mariner Captain Richard Phillips was taken hostage by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean in 2009. It really sounds very interesting but I haven;t seen it yet either. Will be looking out for your comments. In the meantime the first few minutes of Densha Otoko made me go awww already. Your and Winnie promotional campaign is effective :P

:P I think Winnie, JIN is as good as stein;s gate. maybe a little more simple but still you may need to think a litle more carefully about whant happens, especially when you watch the final episode of JIN2. Then you may be a little confused. I was. Other than the smart closure, the story is not difficult to follow because it's set in the past all the time. think you will like it. It's really strong on the emotions part.

It's probably one of the best stories based on real events I've seen in a drama so far. Oh what are you watching? Have you seen Gravity? Captain Philipps?

OTP is one true pairing, your favorite combination of characters in a fandom.. The thing is Densha otoko is not the usual cheese kind of story from what I read. So I think we both know the reason. It's not formulaic enough to make average drama viewer interested. But target viewers will love it more instead :)

But nankoyku is really fantastic too...are you liking it? JIN takes the cake though in terms of mood, characters and the feelings it evokes. I even changed the rating from 9 to 10 just because it really made a huge impact on me emotionally and generated a number of thoights. Plus time travel mechanics is really good and it took Bokami in his patience and understanding to help me disentangle what happened. It's pretty good and rich :)

LOL I went like uhm, erhm how should I respond, what IS he asking LOL. In the end I felt the best answer is the most honest answer. So there. I'm really not the witty type and I'm always afraid that I can hurt someone with an unintentionally rude joke. I"ll look forward to reading your refreshed thoughts on the series. Maybe I"ll watch it too, if I have the time. But for now our very own MDL Hermes and Yamada are actively encouraging me to watch Densha Otoko :D

BWAHAHAHA! Oh, you!!! You;re too funny. But the drama's name is Marry HIM if you dare :P And I"m still giving it a chance but it;s a mess... no comparison...awful, simplistic. Nine is way better.

haha. :D You honour me. I'm not witty/funny enough to respond to this adequately, Bokami. But you are my number one drama and anime guy, certainly my number one guy to go time travelling with ;-)
Someone please explain this to me. The medicine bottle needed to save Saki was with him when he has been transported…
i was just dissecting the time travel in this drama with a friend and I came to conclude that it fell out of his pocket while he was travelling to the past, as a result he couldn't find it in the exact same spot he travelled from. Saki's brother found it in a different spot only after Jin went back. On the second point, I"m not sure but I would assume drugs retain some of their potency even after expiration date- as long as they are unopened, which I think was the case here. Though they should be also properly stored...But still, if your life depends on an expired drug with no other means, especially in this case, it was better to take the risk anyway.

i think nodame cantabile is too. JIN is an incredible story though. With JIN I feel as elated as I was with Monster cause of the complexities of characters, Jin's emotional attachement to various historical figures as well as his thoughts and fears about altering the future. It's funny how he resisted but at the same time once he took action he was not allowed to completely alter history. He only changed how things happened. Essentially it shows that we can achieve the same result by taking different routes and that different chains iof events may lead to an only slightly different future...so one way of looking at it is that everything is predetermined...BUT the key word here is slight. No matter how small our actions are, we CAN inflience the future. I think it;s very positive message coming from the story all in all. I changed my ratings to 10. I'm curious about ooku drama now

feelings linger despite memory fading away. So beautiful, I feel like crying ;_;
So.. the vial with medicine fell out of the pocket of one of the JINs while he was travelling to the past... and that's how her brother found the vial in a different place than JIN thought it may be. and so Saki was saved. But it's only JIN A who met JIN B. No other Jins ever met each other.

Yes, I think I would go with the last one JIN D is the result of the Edo the previous Jin created (Edo C), because the circumstances of Saki the other woman changed so they affected his life and Miki's life. So JIN B stuck in Edo C created Jin D, much like JIN A stuck in whatever timeline he came from created JIN B.
(because Edo B was what Jin A created; however intrusion of JIN B into Edo B instantly created Edo C as soon as he came there, since he wasn;t supposed to be there)
The result in the ending episode is he meets Miki for the first time when he talks to her about Saki and he operates on her, which means his destiny is back on track. This JIN will not remeber Saki, but move to save Miki, since the implication is the JINs made enough changes in history ro make saving Miki possible. But then he receives the letter from Saki. It's amazing how

I"m not sure about hidstorical accuracy bit this drama is more a philosophical poem about how our actions fit into the grand flow of time, the big scheme of things.
JIN is reason number 2 why I LOVE japanese dramas. Reason number 1 being Tonbi.

Hi Hermes-san :) Welcome welcome to my humble abode :D It's edo pre Meji restoration, around 1860s. The mood is heavy and philosophical. There is lots of emotion in there. Lots and I mean lots. The pace is average- there is a lot of reflecting on the actions but at the same time a lot of things are happening to Jin. Also, there are a lot of medical details of operations shown. But there are many great characters. The love story is tender and beautiful. The conclusion is quite powerful, plus the time travel mechanics can be a little puzzling ;-) I hope you'll find the power to watch it some day, the cast is just AMAZING. Especially the main character and Uchino Masaaki...,man Masaaki is just too brilliant. He made roar with laighter but also cry. And there is Ayase Haruka who plays the lovely lovely woman Tachibana Saki. Abdsolutely lovely woman!

So how does B become D in the end? And what happens to C?
If A meets B and B goes to Edo C, doesn't he become JIN C who creates Edo D and goes back to present D which results from the actions he did as JIN C in original Edo C? In other words, Edo C is altered by Jin B into Edo D. Does that make him JIN D then? In other words the JIN who goes back turned from JIN B into JIN D having altered EDO C into EDO D...
So why does the loop end? This could go on endlessly. Is it the tumour then that breaks the loop?
