I will still give it a chance. It's not terrible, it;s just the scripwriter compromising the romance part of the story to appease Younh Hwa fans which is the source of all the rampage. I am yet to decide if the ending is bad or not. I will watch until the end to judge the ending myselgf because something tells me the open ending isn;t as terrible as commenters make it out to be. I think a lot of the negativity is Young Hwa or Lee Dong Gun fangirlism. I am Team LDG when it comes to that but despite being annoyed, actor preferences should not cloud my objectivity that's why I am determined to finish this.

Well not many for the time being. I only saw Throne of Blood and Seven Samurai. I loved throne of blood. I just love how Shalespeare can be so easily adapted by Kurosawa. I have other classics planned but not in the immediate future. Japanese classics require a frame of mind that

ohh story reminds me of Full metal alchemost: the brotherhood. it sounds both fascinating and offputting heh. I will give it a try, there should be a demo available. Thank you for drawing my attention to it, I do always look ourt for engrossing stories.

Yes, if I have no other choice. Watching raws will at least let me get some basic orientation as to whether or not I may like the drama. Japanese raw remains my favourite. I always try to decipher especially the handwritten things that subbers leave untranslated, as long as they are written in up to basic kanji I can usually figute some things out. I remeber I was watching rich man poor woman like this. I understood correctly maybe about 10% of the drama though. I really ought to get back to it. I do like just listetning to the sound of the language though. Happy watching!

ale wykonanie ando lloyd is fajne calkiem, no mimo ze lubie gry to tez mam odrobine watpliwosci co do niektorych elementow po pierwszym odcinku. widac wklad przede wszystkim w efekty specjalne. Te japonskie dramy jakies zbyt wysoko-budzetowe sie robie, mam nadzieje ze nie kosztem fabuly...haha, wiem, rzypominalam sobie ostnatio love generation. Wsumie to ciekawa sprawa z tym kimura, nioby wszedzie gra podbnie, to jakim cudem wychodza mu dosc wiarygodne postaci i zueplnie od siebie rozne? to troche zagadka dla mnie, ten czlowiek :D

Ikiry tez chce obejrzec wlasnie, sama go dodalam do bazy swego czasu w goraczce dodawania do mdl filmow kurosawy :D Bede bardzo ciekawa Twojej opinii :) haha jak dramy zaczynaja sie nietypowo to roznie moze byc, mam nadzieje ze sie nie zawiedziesz.

:P Ano drama z kimu taku.

Aki w Pride ladnie sie wypowiedziala przeciwko czemus takiemu.

LOL. No to chyba zesmy nadaly MDL misyjnosci :P Z tego co widzialam i hardcorowe fanki LMH do Heirs nie do konca maja przekonanie. cos sie zmiania moze :D

chyba zalezy od perspektywy, czytalam ze drama uzywa kilku perspektyw, moze byt post-mkodernostyczne podejrscie przyjeli? Inaczej mowiac- przerost formy nad trescia.

ja tymczasem ogladam odcinek 7 marry him i nawet mnie smiesza pewne dialogi ale caly czas wkurza mnie ze obsadzili Young Hwe jako drugiego. potem komentarze na .net pokazuja dlaczego scripwriterka musiala zmienic storyline bo wszystkie mlodki wola Young Hwe przereklomwanego. Aish. The frustrations! :P

hehehe :D no coz to zdaje sie romcom? Stosunek do ogladanych rzeczy zwykle wynika z pewnych okreslonych wartosci osobistych ktore wyklreslaja kierunki naszych dzialan. inaczej mowiac, poznajesz siebie lepiej po swoich zmieniajacych sie gustach.

I like j-dramas then k-dramas and I watch both alternately to keep things interesting. I watch very few chinese or taiwanese dramas but I did like some of them. I find japanese most soulful in a sense; they kind of have the right balance for me. But it depends on the story/acting and also mood sometimes.

my taste is all over the place so I will ennjoy a variety of things. I also don't want to be one of those critics types who diss everything that isn't a masterpiece with powerful message or which isn;t highbrow enough for them to even look at. Sure I love original movies which leave powerful impressions, but maybe I shouldn't expect those from Korean dramas and again watchong only the more artsy types of cinema can get old too.

But despite my hmm notoriety as anti-romance, I do enjoy romance, especially the one in City Hall or Pride. And I do enjoy looking at manly men just for the fun of it but I know I also need deeper stories to keep the balance between pure fun and thinking. In other words I want to embrace as many possible genres as possible to feed both brain, heart and my imagination :P

Haha. Yes you killed me with that bible :P I was never able to come up with anything to respond, either :P I mean Cha Seung Wong, he's a bit strange for me but I loved him in City Hall, he completely clicked with the role. Yes, I guess I managed to build up a reputation of being anti-romance. I think it's because of the dissonance between what I feel and what my brain tells me to think when I watch romances.

I think I tend to feel a little guilty about enjoying myself so much which makes be harsher oon those little titles (like love 911) which I just shamelessly watch for no-brainer entertainment. For me cinema is a means of illumination and art, therefore I have a tendency to seek deeper or more ponderous stories. But as they say "all work and no play make Jill a dull girl" :P So lately I've been trying to be more true to myself and ignore the brain. I came to the conclusion that

But right now I have this butterfly feeling in my stomach, it always mean I am all ready for some butterfly-inducing romance. So I rewatched pride and fell head over heels for Haru again. Although parts of me wanted to see more of the Tomonori/ Chika interaction, I don't know about you, but I tend to think that new dramas these days don;t quite have the same feeling/atmosphere any more, like City Hall or Pride had. It's like I can't find anything that would be equally satisfactory in terms of the way it builds up the feelings. I haven;t seen Empire of gold yet but it;s on my priority watch soon list. I loved the Chaser and this is from the same scriptwriter, so after love 911 I'm all eager to be swept off my feet by Mr go soo in a more serious role.

hahaha. I know the feeling MRsLee, I know :D I loved the romance in Yi San; Lee Seo Jin acted really caring. and ohh there were many times I just couldn't take it. True enough, I don't look for masterpieces either but it's just the damn brain won;t shut down lol. And I know I found good romance whe I have those butterflies in my stomach. I was rewatching City Hall the other day and despite not liking the actor, I just felt everything clicked in that romance, together with a superbly satsifying romantic ending. City Hall had one of the most authenthic romances in dramas so far, I just felt every word and every moment. I really do love it. But the problem is the butterlies can't win with the brain when I"m assigning a number. I am always driven to try and be as objective as possible when assigning a numerical value, no matter how much I may have enjoyed something otherwise

so the reaspn I dropped love 911 is not because i hated it. it's just how my new system works- I find it a pleasant flick to spend time with, good humour, great chemostry but it;s forgettable in the long run. My new system is to add everything I find forgettable to dropped, regardless whether I liked it, half-liked it or hated it. And again much as I enjoyed Go Soo, Han Hyo Jo (she matured a lot and is very pretty too lok at too), I felt there were some lose ends and incosistencies which kind of threw me away from the story, even though it was such an easily likeable watch.

Yup he's a lucky dad of three so he doesn;t do many projects, I think he;s a family man :) That's what makes me love him even more. loved Lee Seo Jin in Yi San. And I love his dimples :P I just fell in love with the ease he was playing that character and he made Yi san such a lovely, good-hearted and sensible king. I loved him. The dimples are to die for! Well, I enjoyed watching love 911...but I was annoyed with not knowing what happened to the tumour Her job? other than that I trully enjopyed the interactions between Han Hyo Jo and Go Soo. I can well see why he;d be a back uo a husband :P I kinda liked him in that firefigther get up. I do have a taste for slightly rugger, manly men too. :P
