childhood is usually a good place for the dramas to set up the main storyline-intrigue. It CAN get repetitive when all dramas do it, but i find it to be also of help. I am not too find of the main actors as the king i'd sort of would like him to be a bit older, myabe that's why i was drawn away from this drama in part. I think hels just not my type of character, either. That always has an impact on viewing a drama for me, if I can't bond with/empathise with characters.

Yes, I felt Failan was special. I absolutely loved the feeling it left me with- and it was one of hope, somehow the movie was iterestingly constructed, I felt like the two of them were hanging to a glimmer of hope and that hope passed between them even thoough they never met. A thoroughly good feeling. I'll look forward to hearing your comments on Old Boy! And I will happily let you know about sunny :0)

I am planning to try and watch Moon/Sun just for the sake of completing saeguks. Though i"m not completely convinced I will finish watching it. I tried to approach it several times, I kept dropping it but the title keeps attracting me again and again, it's rather unusual. Other than that I am at a loss after Failan what to watch. I think I will watch sunny now because I want to see more movies which actually give me something to treasure, rather than those which are just empty entertainment. I think I've grown a little tired of that.

It's not just about gory. You may find some issues objectionable in terms of how some characters are treated. Most women seem to have been offended, in fact. It may verge on too much shocking, which can belittle the effect but I still had a few questions after the narrative finshied. I had mixed feelings about it too But this is really is Choi Min Shik's shining performance. another one is in Failan-unusual love story, but one that gave me a feeling to cherish after it ended, like memories of matsuko did, like love letter. Old Boy is also omehow defining for me but in a different way. Let me know what you thought of it. Nothing at the moment, I think I will stick to films for now, I am under a very strong influence of Matsuko and Failan and Love letter so any drama i pick up seemes to vacuous for the moment to me, but

Hi Edina! Wow, I don't think I could do that, I prefer to focus on one thing at a time but complete it fast. Will you be able to focos on watching thigs that way? But then it also adds variety and variety is nice t have when watching things, otherwise dramas may get tiresome. Happy watching ^^ I am home, I am going to do some other work while I"m here. Why? Do they drag too much? Some child actors are really good- lee hyun woo for instance tends to be really likeable as a child version of the adult charactters. I sort of really like to see chatracters as children forst, it helps me to bond with them.

Oh, I see, I was wondering because i believe I may have left a spoiler without a spoiler tag inadvenretnly on faialm film page. Then I started to edit it and then when I edited it it suddenly appeared covered in a spoiler, when I'm pretty sure I'd forgotten to do that. Thank you.

Hi Winnie :) old Boy is now one of my fvourites. It blew me away in the way it stripped bare some human instincts. I would say it;s not a movie for everyone, though. it tackles a subject that is taboo. the revenge plan is executed masterfully though, to a perfection. some pwerful scenes. I had some questions after it ended. Performances are brillint. Choi Min Sik is wonderful. There are frgments as a woman you may react against - see manicmuse's review, but to me everything was reverse psychology there. It was needed as it was for the movie. If you are not easily offended and can look past some things, then this is a powerful revenge film. Some scenes are very graphic.

I forgot which title I was writing to you about. But I havn't seen any saegusks with nudity in it but korean saeguk movies or dramas can be perhaps too detailed sometimes. I'd say they can be acquired taste.
