They have to offer some more tangible development. Nodame Canatabile is a great example of good development, but it took drama, special and movie to achieve that...and it was all good in the end. well, we'll have to wait and see. Third time's the charm as they say, so I'd give Tohru one more chance. There IS still material they could use. Who knows maybe after another part things will become more clearly developed...hopefully.

PrettyCarEye: that the story isn't complete, is a given to me, but it's just he really made Natsui look silly in this special, while the drama ending on its own suggested he changed. was all this shouting and getting angry for invading his private space necessary? Yeah, Japanese do tend to have realistic endings, but I'm not sure this one is it, I guess that's why I would be expexcting a continuation to see if his change is true. Even if I do realise that this takes place STILL IN SEASON 1, and it fills the gaps between when Natsui leaves and when she comes back at the end of the drama. The drama producers probably had some leftover material from the drama swo they decided to do the special in which Tohru behaves like an idiot again. They better come up wth something good. If in whatever comes next Tohru still behaves like in drama special, then it's a lost cause.

I forgot to add that you're brave :D I lost interest in the Great Seer very soon and I was sad to see Ji Jin Hee misused in another poor role.

Agreed! I will have a hard time trusting this drama to right thos wrong. If I were Natsui I would just go for Asahina. He's far more mature and stable. And then everyone saying she's the only one for Tohru? Yeah, right. Because no one else would be able to stand his behaviour. But...I guess this special still takes place within season 1, Sunflower. I think we have to wait for another one to make a genuine judgment whether it' s a lost cause or not. Third time's the charm, as they say.

you mean the film? I was just wondering about the logic of not trying to find out about the daughter as soon as he was out of his imprisonment. While what you said makes sense, I was also thinking that if it WAS due to the hympnosis then something is not right because the ending scene clearly questioned the entire hypnosis. And he even said it I believe-perhaps you;re noi different from me, perhaps you wanted this. And hypnosis has to be questioned, imho, in order for the theme to be more shocking. But I just felt there was a little incosistency here because of all that. Not sure it makes sense to you what I say.

oh Good morning Bokami :) What tie is it out there? I was taking a nap but frankly I can't sleep due to this film. I just kept thinking about it. well maybe but that wasn't even hinted at. That hypnosis would make him forget his daughter is a bit difficult to believe, but perhaps if it really HAD worked, but the ending questioned the capacity of hypnosis.

That winter the wind blows. I really wanted to see Jo Ing Sung. Was not disappointed. He was awesome. I really just wanted to oogle him. lol. But that's a single case. And that story is mostly just a visual feast anyway- pretty package dominates. <br /><br />Usually I just want to see actors who I know are good at ACTING and I choose what to watch basing on the story. Potentially good story and cast who I trust to act well almost always make a drama hit a spot with me. So for instance there is going to be a remake of the excellent japanese drama queen;s classroom and Ko Hyung Jung will star. She is an amazing actress and the japanese original story was also great. Must watch for me. I like to watch dramas for the stories and I'm severely disappointed if it's not good enough, I end up annoyed at actors too, even though sometimes they do their best to outshine bad script

He should roperly learn the lesson. You know, i wonder where they are going with it but it;s really naive to watch this again and not see how difficult of a guy Tohru is. No respect for the opther, only his own selfoshness and arrogance take precedence. I hope he will learn a lesson in whatever comes ext because I do think we have another part coming, but this special somehow managed to make me angry.

He was always a little bipolar, but his behaviour in this really was beyond all limits. I'm not sure he really learned anything, either by the end of the special. I'm not convinced. His "maturity" is barely brushed on in the ending and then in the past and until that point at least he was like: claims one thing but then chickens out later. That's not right and his "change" is not really a change, or at least not yet! He still has a loooong way to go, but how much more can Natsui take? I guess we will find out in some future, as this warrants another sequel, but for the moment I lost my patience with this story. Why does a woman have to be always treated this way by a man?

I suppose. Well, I'm neither for it nor against it, since I'm not very interested in it in the first place. But I guess many people will be happy. There's always something for everyone. As long as a good dose of variety is maintained.

Does this story leave room for sequels? I haven't seen it yet and so I'm just wondering. I am against sequels in general and so far korean dramas have not been disappointing because they have been telling complete stories in one series, which is what I like the most about them. Sequels are always getting on my nerves. But, if the story warrants it....so I'm curious as to possible reasons for needing a season 2 for this drama. Eye candies are not a good enough reason in my book. But from the looks of it, I guess it's another one of those "let's make something strikingly similar" kind of things, telling a slightly different story with same formula. Doesn't that get boring?

But Bokami. Wasn't this illogical? He knew he had a daughtter- he was calling her on her birthday. surely he wouldn't have forgotten her. Why not check up what's up with her? haha ano, tak sie tylko zastanowilam. Nie zmienia to faktu ze odbior filmu JESt problematyczny. ano, w koncu przestalam czytac te fora, bo czasami tam tez jak ktos inne zdanie wyraza to zaraz troll i troll. Ech. hahah. W tym wynajdowaniu tez cos jest, konstruowanie wlasnych wizji jest jednak elementem konstruktywnym, swiadectwem aktywnego odbioru dziela, dlatego wlasciwe przychodzi mi sie czesto zastanawiac czy rzeczywiscie racje maja ci, ktorzy wychodziliby z twierdzeniem, ze film czy inne medium to produkt skonczony, z ktorym nie mozna sie juz "pobawic", ktore nie zacheca do aktywnosci wyobra?ni, ale jak dla mnie odpwied? jest negatywna. haha, zauwa?y?a?. Tak, troche za duzo tych 10. doszlam do wniosku ze 10 musi byc troche mniej. jakos znowu inaczej mi przychodzi patrzec na niektore dramy. a swoja droga, czy zauwazylas ze MDL ma nowa feature a la facebookowy timeline?
