I really think if your instincts tell you the drama is not right, it means it's not right, no matter what anyone else tell you. That's it. The rest of us just has to respect that, and that's it! Because the best judge is you, with your experiences. It is what makes You-You, and not someone else. But if you have the time, try Koi no chikara, just for the sake of experimenting: it;s the same plot, actually, and similar kind of subplots, but it;s more enjoyable to some who share the dislike of Rich man. If you like it, it means Rich man poor woman is really poor. If you dislike koi no chikara as well, it means it's just as annoying as Rich man, poor woman. I also think Rita that these dramas are getting increasingly less what they used to be. Once I had a think about this, I actually watched RMPW twice...I really thought heck this is actually more watchabvle than AGD and works

He's not black or blue to me, to me he is a person who is very uncertain of himself- and I could well identify those feelings, of feeling like crap of being in the shadow and consequently wanting to show them to gain respect, at yet at once a sense of trying to not lose them. As for character progression, yes there was little of it, but somehow I traced it..perhaps it is just a beginning? The progression was much stronger in, say, Nodame cantaile, which remains ine of my favourite japanese romances to date, aside from love shuffle and Yutaka's dramas. So how did I come to like the drama? I was having a conversation about it the other day ith some other sensible MDLer. She observe that the more dramas we wath, the more we develop judgmental biases and shortcuts which make us see dramas only through the same schematas. Which I find useful- because it saves time and energy, lol!To me, Rita

Rita! I'd sooner hit myself with a bat than anyone else :D Thank you for sweetening my day with page compliments :D Regarding RMWP: I always believe in instincts fors of all. But, I'd like to notice something: the very fact that you complete this drama means that it is at least watchable in comparison to A gentleman;s dignity. I have of late decided that I was completely wrong about AGD. Yi Soo's behaviour is simply unnacepatable, let alone Meahri, te guys are fun togethere, but that's it. May I suggest a little experiment? Try watching Koi no Chikara- it;s a very similar drama to Rich Man, see if you have the same feelings. But in general I find your observations spot on: I too, was annoyed by Hyuga at first, I too thought Makoto;s portrayal is too typica, but for some reason I aloways sympathise with Asahina because he is a man that is just a little underappreciated.

I see Josephine Wall's Spirit of Flight is now gracing your wall, a good place I say ^^ I really love this piece because it shows movement and change. Read your review of RMPW and I pretty much respect your point of view, and agree with the way you put it, but this is the one drama where I will actually agree to just see things differently without regret. Still a review well worth reading and one it is a pleasure to read through. Analytical and constructive, have been going crazy lateky because especially economical reviews tend to maden me. Moreover comments on Arang and Magistrate page by some of the fans are aggressive-defensive. these kind of things make me want to leave the site, reviews like your restore my sanity, so thank you :)
me too, me too! but I think I will staill wait until it airs at least midpoint..waiting week after week for a new episode is not what I like.

haha, well I will certainly not because I don't like Joo Won at all. But I think you will still get pulled into the action...it was a bit like TPM, with many cliffhangers..very dramatic cliffhangers and turns from one extreme to another..done to keep viewers on the edge of their seat but frankly I personally was bored. I will but right now I seem to have no drama mood at all.. soon as I start something, I put it away. I don;t know what to watch to pull me back in -.-

Hello Joe. Thanks for stopping by! Thank you, I've been wanting to sport something like this for a while to cover many characters at once... but I admit I am just heavily addicted to reediting my profile ever sonce the new feature was introduced. I want to see something more by Legal high writers, they have had a stroke of genius with this one. Love shuffle was also great and I really loved Long Love Letter, also a unique drama.

He's really good at portraying such characters. I agree that there are many similarities, though. LOL. No prior Komikado-bias then? :D Very nice review! I love Himura's character as well, such a good character for Sakai-san to play and that sense of change he undergoes was really nice as he bonded once again with Kimutaku's character. Kimutaku really is a good actor, there is just something in him that he appropriates every roles he plays and becomes it. But I cried due to the dogs. poor fellas, had to struggle to survive, so much for their devotion, they'd just been abandoned. The top as always didn't do enough and the crew looks like didn't have much say in the matters. But I liked the integrity Himura showed later on. And Kimutaku character's devotion to the dogs. Beautiful bonding!

Hello Farah! Nice to read you! haha, yes, I also felt Rich man feels like an updated version of Koi no Chikara since it is the same plot, only less contemporary, you could say. I ended up liking Rich man, actually as it did refresh the format and the characters were not unlikeable. Makoto isn't a doormat, she knows how to handle her man and with the last episodes she showed more self-respect. The cute" behaviour moments of hers were annoying but all in all it was to show the richness of her emotions and how she can enriuch Huyga's life and that was really the point that convced me to hold on tot he drama and I don't regret it now. Koi no Chikara I also liked, Tsutumi is a good actor, and yes the mutual interactions were so clumsy and awkward at times. And yet I appreciate Oguri for bringing out this introvertness in his characters.
MBC tends to have very good historical dramas. Yes. Very good long dramas.I loved Jewel in the Palace and Jumong, both long and satisfying dramas. I hope this one will not disappoint..I was looking to both this one and King's Dream.

wiesz szczerze mowiac z drugiej strony listy stanowia pewien wyjatek.
Wow. Really?? This list is EXTREMELY subjective. These articles are getting more and more pointless. -__- What…
And I say that, even though I do have several gripes with how objectivity is handled in these things around MDL, especially reviews. But in this case, this is a list. I love making lists myself because they are fun and to me they are fun to read no matter what choices one makes, it;s always interesting to see what others like..as long as those choices are explained and I think she tried to do it. I don't agree with her choices, but I respect her choices, because they result from her individuality, she lets it shine through, she picks what she thinks is best. And it's all in good fun.
I do hope your colleagues will warm up to you and that tomorrow will go by fast...I am so angry at myself, I just think like I"m a waste of everyone's time.
