the background is woven into the story but Hang Jung and Seok ran are just a part of what I'd say is what could have been, i think it does a ptrety good job of mixing fiction and some facts and the research of the writer seems to have been good; also it;s clearly a writer with an interest in medicine since that same writer also created the white tower.

You have to kee trying! Someone will eventually give you a chance, what kind of things did you try?
I will be submitting a Phd project now and will be working on a PhD. At the same time, I want to make some time to help out around here, i;ve just noticed the annoucement Skye made, but it;s more like i'd like to help on a voliunteer-basis because given the PhD thing i will have quite a lot of stuff to do - it;s not like i'm taking classes, i have three years for completeion and have to start writing as soon as proposal gets accepted.

lol - me neither,; I am oficially questioning my sanity and perhaps I should rename myself to BladeyTheInsaneWatchingMachine lol jewel in the palace is good, gripping and you gotta like the stories about underdogs; the surgeon i just completed is actually similar in that respsct- and it;s a drama from the writer of oyjakgyo brothers, just much shorter- which is wha I liked Salaryman I found to be very refreshing and the cast was simply great - I just love Lee Bum Soo. Trip was great, first time in the States, though i felt really humbled lol everything was so big and different. i was there during St PAtrick's: man, the parades are madness!! :D I was flying throiugh Chicago, though and after 10 hours of flight it felt lie flying tino some movie :D how's work/studying going?

Oh, I've been busy so wasn't formuing mycuch but just recently my drama marthoning muse has returned to me and so i've marathoned salaryman, dong yi, jewel in the palace, take care of us captain and i have now finished surgeon bong dal hee , altogether around 150 episodes in little less than two weeks 0.0 well but that drama hunger has niw been satiated so i will perhaps take a break from watching and reutnr more to being an active member of mdl - the new features will be just the thing to keep me occupied when i have free time lol. i also just returned from Rochester, NY :D.

an underdog story from the writer of ojakgyo brothers. This one is short- which is its big plus, makes the story more enjoyable. Music is cheesy but if you like underdog stories about individuals who also have a preconditioned difficuty in life, you may like this. Acting's great.

lol actually I am already at pisode 50, not going to drop it- but i am skipping parts. well jewel in the palace was a very good drama for him, but take care of us captain is not the best drama. I like the first Queen the mist the one that supported Dong Yi she was a ery nice lady. I';ll grant Hui, thoiugh, she was pretty steadfast and determined and held out for a long time. But honestly i pity ji jin hee, he's doingthe job well though. ong yi should have been played by a different actress. i donlt think the queen of romantic comedies fits the period piece genre all that well.

i may give it a try one of these days but right now i;m on a watching spree. i will be watchibng giant soon. salaryman is refreshing; as for dong yi;: honestly i feel very sorry for chun soo.. he is much more of a man than the king, and the king is such an irritatingly helpless character- though ji jin hee is wonderful. also the drama is definitely exaggeratin a lot and it doesn;t really feel genuine, but it is quite entertaining and some parts of the middle arc are quite gripping. the court is a nasty place to be at..all the more why the king should be a bit more aware of what is going on around him, rather than fall so haplessly to the traps of beautiful vixens, geez. lol

oh- salaryman was written by the writer who wrote Giant. it;s a crazy comedy, but at the same time it's not unsubstantiated, it's not so tired as other korean formulas and lee bum soo is great!

LOL. yeah, it's lacking in some ways, it's definitely not the best historical piece out there. No, nothing like Dae mul, it;s more like a comedy version of Giant.

Hotaru no hikari is not a good recommendation for this drama; I am watching this now and I am finding it impossibly…
Lol you're quite right. It was simply not clicking together; the idea wasn't bad per se, but I really thought the actors especially din;t work well together. LMH was robotic, I have since compoletely forgotten about this drama. Can't say like I have any regrets lol. Even though sometimes distance and different approach help in watching dramas, there are some dramas you eeally just want to forget about.

highly underrated!
lol..and there you are again hello! ^_^ salaryman broiught me here- since i found salaryman really good, i think i;m going to give this a try as well. Got to give some love to the underdogs!

Title Dong Yi
Bae Su Bin has captured me with his role- i pity him, he's much more of a man than the king, though i love ji…
it's just that king seems so completely clueless, especially when that vixen is around, it;s annoying. Really, he's clearly quite kind hearted and academically acomplished - at least- but useless sometimes....urgh.

i know lol. he is useless whenever that big eyed vixen is around but hopefully not for much longer! so easily manipulated, he;s such a pushover, honestly that's why I find him lacking, I guess. He can't do anything except study and he is quite learned and he is a kind person, but completely clueless, my god, but i jin hee is really convincing. Hoenstly, I wonder if he was historically like that... and i hope the deposed queen - what a lovely woman!- will be resored to her status. She and Dong Yi make a good team for upholding pillars of inner palace lol.
