Ahh law my brother studied law so I know how hard that can be, indeed, exams upon exams, each next one more difficult than the previous one. So it's like entire January of exams and then semester two starts but Christmas will be all the sweeter for it, I'm sure :-) Well, just to warn you if you ever consider trying it, they do operating in Jejungwoon so it can be slightly graphic (in the first episode already you will see a close-up of someone's head, don't let that discurage you) and there is the process of learning medcine so there will be some medical details but it's much shorter than Hur (which I'm planning to watch one day too) and I really feel there is a lot of focus on the characters rather than medicine. See you-well, read you- soon!

I had a peek at the final episodes (currently watchin ep 17) and all I can say is that the viewer is likely to experience the transition and I think it's going to be very satisfying. The developmen is quite sliow but it has its depth and takes its time to develop characters and I found myself staerting to really care for Hwa Jung and the female translator (played by Hang Hye Jin) and a Western missionary, Dr Allen a really GOOD guy who's teaching Koreans about western medicine and helping them to become doctors. It's also a drama of conflicts and how some others want to push their own interests first in the "medicine buisness" and building hospital (there are the scheming guys who put on airs and are really annoying) and political isssues connected with it. It's really quite interesting because of the theme it deals with and ina period which does feel like a very unsettled one.

TEN EXAMS ALTOGETHER? 400 pages?! They work you like horses or what? What were you studying, again? This is a lot, you'll be so tired. My goodness, Yoona, do hang in there, it's incredible, the most I had in one semester were 4 exams....*keeping my fingers crossed very tightly* As the japanese wuld say, ganbatte ne? But I am sure you will be all right and Santa will make it sweet for you. Jejungwoon is an interesting story inasmuch as it deals with how Western medicine entered into traditional Korean society, in a tumultous era of transition. One of the main stories is the story of a butcher who eventually wound up trainin g tob ea doctor, a female translator who also wound up training to be a doctor and there are a few other charcters. Park Young Woo, who plays the butcher, Hwang Jung, conveys a sense of humility so well you really empathize with him. I think it's worth a look.

lol Hello Friend, thank you for the request. I think I already added hara-kiri to my plan to watch things, and I''ll add that drama thank you! ^^ I loved Crouching Tiger - it was possibly the first Asian feature movie I ever watched (aside from Studio ghibli's animations) followed by House f flying daggers, 3-iron and Postmen in the Moutains, which I absolutely loved. Have a wonderful day.

Thank you for the reccommendation. I did hear Bad Guy was gripping so I'm going to watch it one day. Yeah, for me it's like this with Greatest Love, it's like a hybrid between City Hall and Pasta for me so while I enjoyed it for what it was, I'm not too enthusiastic about it. But I loved the taiwanese it started with a kiss. it was really sparkling and Ariel and Joe were fab, but not just them- the ensemble cast was just so..fitting, I really liked Ariel character's father. And the guy who helped at his restaurant played by Jiro Wang, he was very likeable too. Well, hope you do like that family one. Have a nice day.

Lol :-) Thanks, I;ll give them a shot, for sure, but the thing with me is I approach knowledge about stars and backdoor drama making with some caution- it tends to kill the magic of watching a drama so in order to experience a drama- or any kind of movie for that matter- to the fullest I always want to know as little as possible about how it was made (esp how much money spent! lol) and who they all are. lol No, not really, but I explore somewhat once I find some noce OST's and go from there. By the way, I really like your current avatar. Do you watch a lot of anime?

This show is one of the slow ones but has depth. You gradually come to really care for the characters. It takes place in a particulary tumultous period and the intrusion of western medicine into Korea...a very very interesting drama!
