Hello! I just started watching Gou, it is a very good series. An incredible sense of honour and pride. Terribly difficult being a samurai's wife too. I really like Ichi's portryal, though I may not be too well-versed in Japanese history, still this is a compelling series. ^^ Hope you have a good Christmas!

^^ I also liked the first season of Liar game and I like some of your reviews. love shuffle I also found really interesting and loved Nagareboshi. I'll be watching some other in your lists. Thank you for friend request and also have a wonderful Christmas time.
He conveyed a sort of humble man who had to conquer a lot of himself in order to stop being the poor lowborn and b ecome a good and respected doctor; the drama shows how difficult the process was.

There will be shades and variations and some dramas that you like others don;t; I'm always trying to be objective in my reviews and convey what I thought of a drama I'm reviewing. See I was a bit disappointed in TGL, for instance, because I ended up thinking about it as somethiong of a hybrid between City Hall (whch was very nice but had its cringeworthy cheesy moments but Kim Suhn Ah was very good- she's a very good actress) and Pasta, which I thought was thoroughly sparkling; still I hope you can give japanese dramas another chance and maybe find something you like; the japanese have an uncanny ability of making drmas that play with your heartstrings and go from sweet to sad; they will probably also have good historical dramas (herard Gou was very good and am planning to watch it and moreovefr- they are very short usually only 11 eps most.

I actually started out with Japanese dramas. Watched Hana Yori Dango and it was well put together; watched Ace wo nerae and dramas with Takuya Kimura (pride) and hotaru no hikari. Japanese dramas are often rather interesting. Try watching the first episodes of LIAR game or Daisuki (famioly drama) or Hanawake no Yon Shimai (family drama); Nagareobshi is a love contract drama one that is not flippant but has serious moral undertones and operates a great deal on silence; you can also try some dramas with Abe Hiroshi, he has some nice ones. Love shuffle is what the title says - four characters swap their love partners and it's like a game which keeps you guessing until all cards are laid bare on the table. I found it entertaining.
But you know I really found that taste in dramas is really specific because I can;t ever find a person who'd watch my own drama taste perfectly;

Well actually I was nine in 1995, made a mistake, was born in 1986. That makes us 4 years apart but who's counting? lol
It's a slow drama and may require some patience, but it comes together so nicely at the end but the ending may come off slightly rushed and the characters are quite traditional in their approach to love and courtship and at the very beginning of final episode it's even more obvious- it's so darn cute.lol Won't be spoiling anything. TPM is still a great drama but it was more fast-paced; this one is far slower. And Park Yong Woo was really great, but now it seems he;s not doing any more dramas nor films, it's a shame; Jejoongwon was his last in recent years..shame. I'm mostly a drama person nowadays but I like t eer back to anime every now and then, especially Studio Ghibli.
I'll try to give it another go one day, but not even You're beautiful was this annoying. You're beautiful was…
Well glad that makes two of us. lol Given the fact that there will be other dramas coming out I probably won't even get the chance to give it another go, and will forget about this nuisance soon enough lol. Which is probably for the best. I definitely will not be posting a review for this either, it's not really worth the effort.
I'll try to give it another go one day, but not even You're beautiful was this annoying. You're beautiful was actually okayish, this is ridiculous. It's as annoying as My girlfriend is a Gumiho or Muyn Wol the Spy.... For now - I absolutely can't watch it. But I think if you liked those two, you will like this one as well. It's quirky, cutesy and you may like this kind of humour, for me, they're just..I don;t know, not my style I guess. Don Quixote was amazing, this is bad/. To me, of course.
Watching this now...def not my style. Hate it, it's getting on my nerves. It's so..loud and cutesy and seems overacted at this point. I'm disappointed, especially with all the hype going on. She;s so freaking annoying! But the tunes are very catchy.

Hello! Finally find someone wo shares my love for jejoongwon!
Good actor. I mean I found that did a wonderful, wonderful job in Jejoongwon. I haven't seen him in anythign else but it seems to me like he's conscientious and tries hard. He has a lovely smile to boot, sends off pretty good vibes. So suave, though may be prone to try too hard sometimes.

There is a Thai drama thread in General Asia forums on the MDLm forums; not every Thia drama will contain that kind of think so perhaps you;ll find something you like; yes I to steer clear from horrors. Thiose especially in ASian execution tend to be gory; but I do like a thriller or psychological thriller or a sci-fi (and sci-fi dramas are really rare for some reason.

That and you havenlt seen a Thai dtrama or Lakorn. sometimes these feature a really...depressing... plot device that serves to cultivate a kind of brutal macho man concept.

DEvil beside you? *Shudders* Don't know why on earth I kept watching it and gaver it a generous 4 when it's deserving of a 1 or 2. the whole idea is so convoluted it hurts. But I think Asians like to play with taboos, including love between siblings (or half-siblings) that is just too much.

I really liked the old-fashioned animation style in HYD anime. Watched wih japanese subs because most dubs just ruin the mood of an anime; Yes Grave of the Fireflies was a well of tears; and there is Studio ghibli with Miyazaki who make wonderful, whimsical, fun and touching anime films. Fruits basket is a pretty good anime though; I also pretty much enjoyed Fushigi Yuugi anmd I watched both as a more mature viewer. Never even came near Naruto or Bealch (which seems bleh lol) Still I am more of a drama erson nowadays and the sheer variety of them is amazing.
Have a Happy Christmas Time. Happy Holidays.
