WEll I liked it; its slower than The princess Man but I watched it with interest due to the theme and how tumultous tit proved to be for traditional Korean society. Han HYe Jin and Park Yong Woo did very good jobs at briging out their characters and I really liked the main character, Hwang Jung, who had a lot of obstacles, including his upringing and a kinf of imposed humility, to defeat on his way to becoming a doctor. There is also the question of Japanese-Korean relations and changing political circumstances; itis a drama set in a period of sin gificant changes and I thought the story was qute well multi-layered. I started to care for the characters and moreover; like with most period pieces it's a drama of meanigful gestures and glances. But in comparison to Princess man, the pace is quite a bit slower and it's more steady. And OST is really lovely.

And Daisuki!! If you like friendship driven stories (and some classic male bonding between a student and mentor) and like flying on airplanes, Good luck is a pretty good drama that deals with dreams, aspirations and regrets, moving on and being captured by the past (Cpt Koda seals the show, but Shinkai is a good foil to him) I'll be now waching a drama called Tiger & Dragon, since the preise sounds interesting. I heard BOSS was good but can;t say anything since I haven;t watched it. Eh, see, wrote so many posts with tentative recommendations.

While you;re at Don Quixote, you can try LIAR game, it's a thoiught provoking suspense kind of thing, where the main question is money vs honesty. The direction is interesting. A very unusual drama was long Love Letter, but it was made with a certain idea in mind and it was an interesting idea too, a kind of a cautionary tale. Nagareboshi is a pensiv and romantic drama with serious moral undertones; love Shuffle deals with adults trying to solve their adults feelings and problems. Armita writes in her review: "The characters are over the top, at times obnoxious or surreal but human. And because the game they are involved with requires them to interact with one another in turn, each time a different side to each character is unveiled".- it is like a card game where with each shuffle something new comes to mind. Japanese do come up with a variety of concepts. But try Don Quixote firs

Thinking long and hard really comes down to me being more selective. It's like wit doing springtime leaning up:
you examine the contents of your wardrobe/drawers and decide what is worthwile and hat is at this point too small or not good enough yet.
I'll try to give it another go one day, but not even You're beautiful was this annoying. You're beautiful was…
Hear hear, I couldn't agree more too. Especially the "we do not like the same things" part. What we like defines us, and each of us is after all a unique individual. Not one person is the same so no two tastes will ever be a perfect match. We'll see. I don't really like writing reviews having seen only half of the show.

I alaso think that sometimes you may find good dramas without looking for them and you watch good dramas totally at random, like you have lol. It;s a cool story too, maybe your friends are just going through a no-drama phase but will be one day once more hit by the drama wave lol

Try Don Quixote. As for others I need to think, but Don Quixote uses a similar concept to Secret garden, only it doesn't have romance but it is quite a touching story which I have enjoyed. I'nm not sure aqbout having mature taste *blushes* it's just that at a certain moment I realised that I'm me and what I like defines me. That's all. I'm really uncertain about making recommendations but I think Don Quixote is a nice drama to watch. If you like it, I coud point out a few more but I also need to think long and hard about it to make some good recommendations lol. And I love long posts so get carried away all you want, it;s nice to chat with you. I liked it's a boy girl thing. I was later surprosed at how much secret garden resembled it.

However, if that is true history, then history is just crazy. I really disike Hideoshi, he was just mad and manipulative and I really dislike how Chacha compromised her honour and pride. Frankly, Oichi and her first husband would be my favourite characters. I also liked Gou's first husband. Madness of history. it's a good drama and informative inasmuch as history goes but it will not be my top favourite; I was expecting more from Gou; she seemed like a warrior, she really disappointed me- her mother had far more resolve and was so much stronger.
