I think Norigae is based on Sunny's suicide so it may be very chilling to see.
Lol Kim ki dul tries to be artisy I guess; maybe it doesn't always work out? Not sure. I think I want to watch Ring after all :O I also want to watch a Chinese drama called a Clear Modsummer Night. Just for the chemostry between leads I think.

Sounds really appealing. I was drawn to characters in Monsters as well because there were so many and they were all so important for the plot. And Johann is definitely an uncommon character for an anime series. Everyone I shared my monster love with seems to share the opinion that it's not an anime you will find very often. I need to explore more of his works.
What other animes do you like?

well, this may have something to do with the length of episodes They get up to 1h 30 mins.
That's too bad; Eguchi-san seems like a multitalented person so it would be nice to see how he fares with his other works. I'll definitely give Dinner a try. I was considering it, I just wasn't sure what to expect (not to good with food dramas so far but I only watched maybe two) but what you're saying is definitely encouraging me to give it a go.
Bad family is quite fun I thought there was good dynamic between characters and it's a make-shift family so you get all these crazy people. I do seem to recall some blonde-haired idol but I don't remember much about him...I guess I
focused more on other characters, but there also was this sense of growing close together, which I liked and they really are a bunch of different personalities thrown together. Besides, Kim Myung Min's acting is always quite nuanced. I think I watched it after King of Dramas because I was on a Kim Myung Min roll at some point. I do hope he'll come back with another drama soon

bonding overall is a strong focus. There can be a thing or two that get annoying simply because the whole guessing game does get a little draggy and as a result some really potent potential elements of character overall development are left unexplored/ only mentioned as a story contrivance. Especially in the final two episodes but the characters are very likeable. They have their quirks but there is this closesness among them and understanding that I found cute.
I haven't seen reply 1997 but I think if you watch reply 1994 first you will be spoiled for 1997 a little, well, majorly because you will know who the couple for 1997 is since they actually appear in one the episodes. I did start watching 1997 in the past but somehow never picked it up. Maybe I will now just to see how it compares but I hear 1994 is slower and more character relationship-driven than 1997. continued >>>

You know, when you write or read something, I've been always told, you have to try to see the forest, not the individual trees. But I think in drama watching we sometimes tends to see only the individual tress which leads us to become a little blinded to the overall point of the drama. And the point of Reply 1994 was not an aggressively push-pull love triangle. It was more like the drama was saying: it's healthy to have rivals who will help to push you further and give you courage.
It's more like any what ifs were meant to be a part of growing up. It's a little hard to explain but I never had an impression that it's as bad as ship wars made it seem. And all characters are likeable, except some of them feel stronger than others. I was scared because of the ship wars too and I was really relieved when watching the drama that it wasn't really as bad as they made it seem.

Hahah! Yes! I donlt think I can choose between the three of them. I recently noticed Eguchi Yosuke in Chase- he had such an effortless screen presence. Have you read his poetry by any chance?
Oh I liked Bad Family. I was entertained and it had fun, rsther endearing characters.
Have you considered Reply 1994? I think you may like the characters as much as I have, although towards the end it gets a little tiresome in some respects. It's more slce of life-y and has more quiet moments than typical Korean dramass.
This is drama is more of a slice of life than a glamorous and artificial plotline as the story follows the trajectory…
CB was nice but more a summer breeze... Thrash has a much stronger presence. I mean I LIKED chill bong and he was much needed for the story in the sense that he encapsulates the sort of fangirlish dreams and crushes we may have. And moreover he developed. Ultimately I think he ended well. Good on the writers. This was a good drama full of quiet, ordinary moments rather than the exaggerated stuff typical for Korean drama.
Snd Thrahs and Chill Bong were nice friends too. Thrash is a great older broither type. Nothing typical about this. It's really far fresher.

And yeah, Thrash was the only choice since she was always focused on him. But it seems like she thought too much about love and too little about work. But Thrash is just...He had such a strong presence. Chill Bong was like a summer breeze, not very substantial. It would be typical if she ended up with the dreamy looking guy not the good guy who was shown as the real man on a rather realistic way and who was always so very supportive of her. I never ONCE saw this is a typical korean triangle drama- FORTUNATELY. Good on the writers. Thrash was the man from the start. Chill bong NEVER counted for much to naJeong, unless as a friend and she may have been vainly pleased that he was showing her attention but that's about it. The drama showed how a stable and strong relationship developed and how others helped it, while also developing themselves. I liked the characters.
This is drama is more of a slice of life than a glamorous and artificial plotline as the story follows the trajectory of a group of people living in the same house and we see how they deal with their personal challenges in the 1990s. The story has a heart, no doubt.
But they REALLY started dragging the whole guessing game needlessly for the viewers especially in the last two episodes. But I liked how everything happened "calmly" and "normally" without all the usual ridiculous overreactions and cliched situations that get to be so tiresome in Korean dramas. The characters never really behaved in a manner that would be ridiculous
I really liked the characters. The actors brought out the hearts of these people and really made them very much alive. Sometimes you get the sense than Korean drama characters are all wooden cliches or otherwise glamorous dolls. I kind of felt it was not the case here; it felt fresher and more real. The 1990s nostalgia is done well.
And..there is my Thrash crush. Now I am going to review and blog about this. I really liked it bit I never once saw it as a love triangle drama, well maybe in the last two episodes...which is why I was kind of staerting to get disappointed..but then they brought it together decently. Fortunately.

king of dramas to bardzo solidna pozycja robieniu dram. Ma dwa watki w sobie, w tym drame w dramie z siwonem w roli glownej. Siwon w roli bardziej komediowej i to mu pasuje. Kim Myung Min to baaardzo utaloentowany aktor.

I don't believe I;ve ever seen that. But I believe there were crossover episodes with Xena. And shippers wre shipping XD Ohh when I get in the mood for nostalgia it usually starts with captain tsubasa lol and then I"m lost to anime world as a result. And so circle of addiction goes on.
