For me the problem was chi cheng acting looked bit stiff here and also dubbing is really bad. The emotional scenes didn't look good for me idk if its because of dubbing/acting. But okay he might get better with experience. The one that irritated me more WSW acting like how can grown man act to be cute and cringey all the times. I see BL fans babying grown men but it just don't sit right with me. The acting/character of WSW seemed so childish.

You are right about this. Sadly majority of the audience of this series won't agree with it since it's just a flaw for them to r@pe someone. I swear these women will do the same irl too like imagine a handsome gay man who rapes another man but ends up with another feminine guy. They'll say the crime is okay because their fetish is fulfilled. For them nothing matter more than their bl fetish fantasies

Yeah I hope these people will change and get out of their toxic mindset atleast sometime later. I also thought that the fans are some immature teens at first but sadly that's not the case. Many of them are elder women many in late 30s and 40s. I got even attacked by a lot of women much older than me for a negative review few weeks ago. They're still romanticizing these problematic stuffs at this grown age which is truly sad.

You clearly mentioned everything wrong with this drama. This novel is purely written out of a women's craze towards fetishizing two men. In short we can say the author saw a lot of problematic/misogynistic straight series in 2000s and decided to make a bl version of that. Simply so outdated and the acting is really bad. On the other hand this shows the fact that majority of bl fans will any tolerate this problematic stuffs as long as it will satisfy their fantasies. This type of shows are clearly not a good representation for the queer community instead it potrays it in a negative way. This is really not real love but purely abuse

Thank you for saying this. I told the same thing and got attacked by 20 people. The show is not just starting with grape, but proceeds to show unconsesual and r@pe threatening scenes. Sadly majority of bl audience still support this kind of problematic tropes giving the excuse that it's a chineese bl/bl in general. I don't really understand their pov like how tf they romanticise it telling that's okay because its a fiction. I swear these kind of people are ignorant to same kind of things happening irl. They call us who don't like this drama as homophobic but in reality these people don't care about the queer community as long as its not to fetishize two men who fits their idea of shipping.

You're just damn stupid. Those kdramas I've rated high are all having talented/experienced actors, great direction,high budget and good scriptwriters and plot. Most importantly none of characters who killed/raped/done harm to other people got happy ending. They got worst punishment possible because that's what all those b@stards deserve and not a happy life. I never support any show glorifying immoral actions I support shows which brutually ends all those criminals. Thats why this series trigger me because here the main character in involved in grape, and unconsesual actions still he gets away from it. First of all watch those series before judging me.

Nobody said that they're the only ones who do fs or so. Its my opinion I don't find anything special in the series not any great story, remarkable acting , direction, script or whatever. Maybe its just not my type or maybe I'm used to watch many great movies/dramas. I just didn't like the series and found certain scenes problematic its just my view. You can like it as much as you want but don't expect everyone else to like it or call it a masterpiece

Being deluded over something itself isn't a crime. Sometimes people just feed on their delusions for escaping from reality. I myself have been delusional over certain things and I don't think its some kind of crime to do so. Here I never said all of you are deluded but its okay if you think so. I understand what you mean but there's no point in calling out this drama here where its filled with fans. Most of them are deluded because of the attractive leads and some fanservice from bts. And some fans of the drama say its okay to do so and he is a nice guy. Not only the first episodes the next episodes also have triggering scenes. Apparently the male lead doesn't know the word "consent" but majority of its fans find no issues with it.

They will say that both wang shuo and yue yue shouldn't be forgiven just because they're the exes of main characters but will simply accept and romanticise morally wrong things did by the mcs

Its okay dude. I got much more hateful comments for giving bad review about the drama. I want to clarify some things I'm not at all a cutesy drama watcher. I mostly watch thriller, dark and many stressful dramas and definitely not a cute romance drama watcher. But I'm a feminist so I won't tolerate grape or unconsesual scenes. That just don't go with my principles. And second thing I'm not at all a new bl watcher I've been there since 2021 now I'm bit lowkey because of lack of interesting dramas/cringe acting which don't interest me as I'm getting older. And ik many of thai bl actors doesn't act good. But that doesn't mean I would settle with some abuser glorifying series. I want upgradation in bl like good acting, good plot, good cinematography etc. But most people are here fetishization, shipping actors irl and so my opinion is not at all valid in bl fandom.

Do you think a movie/drama will only have positive opinions? Criticisms are there everywhere. Acting of 2 main leads just feeling too cringe for me. One is overracting and other is expressionless in short no originality(to me). Maybe bl fans will feel its oscar worthy acting but I don't do I'm used to watch actors with great acting skills. If you feel positive about acting then good for you. And about the quality everyone knows its very low budget even the fans too. So the editing, direction everything looks cheap(to me). Whatever I stated here is my personal opinion. Mdl is not revenged love fans property. Others have right to post whatever they feel. Its my opinion I'm not forcing you or anyone else to drop the drama. Besides most reviews here are saying very positively about this drama so be happy about it. Nobody told that they want it to be an absolute cute green flag series? I don't even watch too much cutesy series. The problem with with series is the the romanticizing of extreme toxic tropes such as grape which is not a silly issue just because victim is male. The lack of consent imagine a guy whom you barely know or is not not interested grabs your body and forces into you without your consent. Would you still feel it so romantic?? The problem with this series is not just bad acting or poor direction its the misogynstic and creepy script.

The novel is straight up abuse, r@pe and racism. It contains heavy problematic disturbing themes. Still the fans have justification like the author wrote it at early 20s so it's completely fine. I mean I'm also in early 20s now and I know it's r@pe, abuse and unconstented behaviour. Not only me every adult with common sense know its problematic. Now let's forget about the novel like the fans said since it's been many years and lets suppose she might've matured when she's nearly 40. So why the fvck this series shows grape and lack of consent. Seems like they're collectively attacking all of us who makes negative reviews or calling out grape culture. I even got homophobic allegations for being against the drama. Been watching bl since covid 19 lock down and now I'm getting called such names for going against a drama normalizing abuser
I don't know where tf real love in this story is? Maybe few mins of second couple seem cute but the other one is pure sexual harassment. These fangirls should imagine themselves in that place, like one guy touching and grabbing your ass, forcefully kissing you, threatening you to r@pe, instructing a group of men to grape you, would it still feel romantic for them? I'm not sure about their case but I would make sure the guy like chi cheng will get punished if he does that to me or anyone close to me. No matter how handsome or rich he is I wouldn't feel romantic because it's straight up sexual harassment.
This drama is definitely written by a delulu creepy woman and made for creepy fans. Seems like she's also creepy just like the fangirls who bully us and the ex girfriends of main leads and supporting characters of the drama.
This drama and it's fandom exhibits peak level toxicity and delulness. It's not saying "love is love" or helping queer community in a good way. Instead it normalises the idea that "R@pe is love"
