Saw bits of an episode on WeTV and it featured African actors. Interestingly, not a single African actor listed in the credits. This entire drama has a colonial feel. Instead of the Eurocentric colonial outlook Africans are used to but 21 century Chinese imperialism. SMH.

So Kiyoi liked Hira all along but had a strange way of showing his affection? So….turns out Hira was the beautiful man. I am rooting for Koyama for Hira.
Krist paired with Mike and oddly, it works! Really looking forward to this one. I thought that Krist wasn’t going to do another BL but nice to see him back….
Just finished episode 3. Very appreciative that they have English subs for international viewers. Main criticism is that they are taking long to get to the point.
When I saw the Bad Buddy initial teaser about a year ago and all the promotions by GMMTV when it was being released, I thought it was massively overhyped. Now I am literally counting down the minutes until the next episode. Bad Buddy = worth all the hype
it's not new. There are a lot of sentences which are translated badly. Anyway, they did the job poorly maybe because…
I think the quality of the English in the translations is really good compared to other series I’ve see . I can imagine that there may be some issues in conveying the actual meaning though…
yeah and it's annoying when people bring the source material.. like the novel might or might not be better, it…
Omg ! Exactly ! I am tired of people bringing the source material like we are reading the novel and not watching the live action version. If we don’t like what we see we are told that we just don’t understand what we are seeing because it is all explained in the book. I can clearly see Kiyoi treating Hira like s***t.
Hello, so Kiyoi doesn't love him back? It's the only way to give him confidence, self-esteem. So sad then
Thanks for your condescending comment but I understood the series perfectly as portrayed. Maybe what you should have said is that more of an explanation will be provided in subsequent episodes that align with the book instead of posting a spoiler right here.

I think Kiyoi doesn’t necessarily like him back but is confused about his own feelings towards men in general…..from the preview for the next episode, Kiyoi seems to be exploring his sexuality
This series is just too depressing. I couldn’t stop watching because I thought Hira would gain some self-esteem and a backbone. Disappointing to see that didn’t happen while he continued to put Kiyoi on a pedestal while being treated like dirt by Kiyoi and his buddies. Seems things don’t get better in later years. This series is so anti-feel good. I can’t take any more…
