Finally a Japanese Bl drama with realistic characters with actual character flaws, believable relationship development,…
Well,, some BL fans live for the improbably fluffy, feel-good fantasy and would prefer what you call garbage like Kieta Hatsukoi or Cherry Magic to the sad jarring reality of this show where a main character is superficially beautiful but really ugly.
This is one BL that I would prefer all episodes to air before watching. Just because I found Kiyoi’s treatment of Hira so cruel and hard to watch in the first episode. Hira needs some self-esteem first before love and affection.
Exactly! The bullying and humiliation were a little too much for me. As you said, the ML has issues and I hope…
Clearly you have never been bullied or have limited life experience / perspective and would not even be able to grasp nuances related to bullying / control. Just because you feel strongly about something does make it right. You are right about one thing - this interaction is futile. Goodbye.
Exactly! The bullying and humiliation were a little too much for me. As you said, the ML has issues and I hope…
I disagree. What they do to him IS insulting, demeaning and belittling…it is not just ordering him around or teasing. All bullying is bullying….there is nothing such as “low key” bullying that should be deemed better than overt violence. The psychological impact can still be the same. As for Kiyoi being supposedly better because he doesn’t allow others to bully Hira, I didn’t see it like that. The character Hira has very low self-esteem and self-worth. It is not cute that he falls head over heels in love with Kiyoi when he thinks so little of himself. Any redemption of the series will have to involve Hira loving himself.
Its certainly an interesting show. I will warn Kieta Hatsukoi and Cherry Magic fans that the vibe is very different…
Exactly! The bullying and humiliation were a little too much for me. As you said, the ML has issues and I hope that there will be a journey towards self-love rather than just obsessive, unrequited love. Even if the other ML reciprocates, I am not sure how healthy and equal their relationship would be…
The behind the scenes was disappointing, with Zung making damned sure everyone was totally aware he had no intention…
The series itself was lukewarm….I am glad I avoided further disappointment by watch the behind the scenes. Speaking of Zung, I would not be shocked to find he is dating the actress who played Eve IRL. His photography Instagram is full of her pics….fascinating…
Really glad to hear that it will be released via Netflix…seems Viki is also trying to get a license. Viki doesn’t appear to pay its subbers so I do hope Netflix gets it first and starts airing.
I think am going to watch this after it is done airing. I am already in serious pain waiting for bad buddy every…
Good idea. It is very painful to scramble around looking for episodes with any English subs just after it airs. I wish I had waited until it had finished airing before starting.
What a strange disjointed episode 11! It’s like side characters storylines were cobbled together while the main lead storyline was overlooked until the end of th episode…very disappointing
At first I was excited the episodes were so long.. but damn.. there are many scenes that are just soooo drawn…
The weird long Pauses really got me. The only addition was the excessive product placement and advertising. Never been so disappointed by a series that had so much potential. Mark and Zung’s talents were severely wasted.
Gave it a second chance after seeing comments here about how it was underrated. I binged through it last night and this morning. Excellent series and clearly rated too low.
Viki is so frustrating! Subtitles are not ready but I’ve watched episodes 5 & 6 via my WeTV subscription. Viki should stop being cheap and pay their subbers.
This is actually a really good short BL film.. I am surprised the rating is so low. It might be really confusing at first and may take more than one viewing to understand but it is really good.
Finally GMMTV is back! I have sooo missed Friday night GMMTV BLs ….first impressions is that this is going to be a good one. Good acting, good entertainment and a good, subtle storyline. Has my favorite enemies to friends to lovers trope and does not feel cringey
You're exaggerating. Last week, it only took one day to have English subtitles. One day later, the other languages…
Hahahahaha! I hope you see the irony of calling others dumbasses, morons and fools for not sharing your view….in the end, there is only one person looking like a fool and that is you.
You are right about one thing - this interaction is futile. Goodbye.
