What a massive, massive disappointment this has turned out to be. The SML is being forced down our throats and frankly he is not a patch on the ML in terms of acting and charismatic screen presence. I came to this drama for the ML and baby Wu Ju, as I had not seen any of the FL's other dramas. I am so mad at the way this stupid show has turned out. What a waste of a potential super hit. The writers, director & co sent it down the drain. I don't expect anything much from the last 4 ep. It's going to be a tepid, dull wrap-up.
Went back to ep 2 to see it in full. First, I'm sooo happy the non Korean guy got to finally speak. So now I don't have to feel bad for him. Also the stellar cast has started showing it s worth. Gong hyojin as the snowflake was absolutely charming and I can see LMH's character responding. Lee El and the hunk at mission control stand out, and I am beginning to feel the writers might yet get the balancing act right. I am so happy I don't have to quit on it.
Ep 1 very tropey all-round and a let down. Started ep 2 but couldn't continue, very dull. Will try again later. The cast line up is awesome, but too many people crammed into first episode.
I don't see how they are going to keep all the tracks going; the balance of all the groups ---1. the rocket and the space station and their relationships; 2. the mission control crowd; 3. the moms & co; 4. the fiancee of LMH and her family; 5. the actual missions each specialist has to carry out...---- As of now it seems very tricky, to put it politely.. The lack of build up has not helped so far
Couldn't stand the female lead's over the top acting in ep1 and dropped it. The male lead and rest of the cast were pretty good upto the point I saw ep 1, but the FL, no way.
I honestly wasn't hooked by ep 1 (the only one to impress was JKY), but ep 2 got me because SHK's character went from monotone to multihued. In a way, I felt she came to life in ep 2. There were flashes of her DOTS charm and there was power to her role and her acting. Now, NoWABU does not seem a dull drag. I also want to see how the control-freak bag of poison that's the ML's mom is dealt with. I like this actress, but I hope the character gets squashed underfoot early, early, early on. The FL's mom is portrayed as bit off too, at least I find her portrayal irritating. Maybe that's the way she is meant to be? Can't doubt Korean actors, they know their job as few others do.
I have to agree. I dropped DAYS because it was just not making sense eventhough kept hoping the next ep will change.…
As one of 'These people' I agree with you. Everyone should make up their own mind. I watched both dramas as they aired (Gumiho still airing) and the contrast was really sharp, to me. Every episode of 'My Roommate is a Gumiho', is interesting, as for DAYS .....
After watching DAYS to the bitter (and boring) end, this drama gives a master class in just about every area where DAYS failed. So far not a single episode has disappointed, unlike DAYS which became comatose pretty early on and eventually flatlined.
How in the world did no kiss scene between the main couple happen after they met again? Dude, her pain was very…
Theirs is a sedate, passionless relationship. When he asks her to go home with him after the family dinner, she kisses him on the cheek and runs back to aunty, uncle and brother. Totally unreal. Having watched plenty of kdrama, I know it's not a cultural thing.
