Well yeah it will make their bond stronger. But there’s going to be so much heartache coming, and we’re only almost halfway through the drama. I just want my OTP to be happy.

Oh I can relate! Sometimes it will take weeks for me to get over a drama. I get so attached that I often dream of the characters while sleeping. Haha. I’m kind of jumping from one drama to another now, so I want to watch this hoping that it will drive me to finish it in one go. Where did you watch these two dramas, btw?

I should stop watching this until I know for sure if the scenes that I hated in the previous versions (such as the evilness of Dao Ming Si’s mom and the forced engagement) are bearable.

I still remember how hurt I was watching those scenes before (Especially Dao Ming Si dating and kissing another girl other than Shan Cai). Please, I don’t want to experience that heartache all over again. I loved how “light” and less angsty this version has been so far as compared to the others, so I hope it remains that way.

Me too! Me too! I love Yang Yang so much but I fell in love with Crystal Zhang (my girl crush!) in Go Princess Go. She’s so cool and I know she’ll be just as amazing here. ^^

I started watching this and I’m regretting why I haven’t watched this sooner. It’s so weird and funny, and as everyone said, this is not to be taken seriously. I have my qualms against the male lead, he’s so stoic and I just don’t like how he can be easily manipulated by the girl villain. I just hate stupid guys like that.

I’m not yet done watching, but I can see now that this drama is going to be among my favorites. ^^

I’m watching Discovery of Romance, and the story was messy but I don’t mind as long as Sung Joon’s face is in it. He’s so handsome and I hate it when he’s not the main lead because my heart hurts for him. My poor baby.

And I agree with everyone below, he’s a talented actor, and his talent is sometimes wasted in the dramas that he appeared in so far.

So I’m at episode 14 and I’m really dragging myself to watch the last 2 and a half episodes. This was the part where the current bf (Ha Jin) found out that Tae Ha was actually the girl’s long-term ex bf.

If this was really happening in real life, then that would have hurt so much you’d want to die. Poor guy. He had seen how weird his gf and the ex bf are acting when together, and he gets super jealous, but tried to ignore it and still puts all of his trust in his gf (who doesn’t deserve it). Only to find out that the two have a past and that his gf had lied to him all this time.

Gaaaah. I’m super mad right now. I don’t even know whom I should get mad at. Maybe the female lead because she’s a lying piece of ****. Lol. I know, I’m super affected. Sorry, but not sorry. ✌️

Also, does anyone know the title of the cute and catchy OST which plays whenever the emperor and Fei Fei have cute moments?

This is probably the only drama which got me rooting for the second male lead the moment I set my eyes on him. Mo Ran is so handsome especially when he smiles (I melt!). I hope I can watch a drama wherein he’s the main guy.

I’m not there yet, but thanks for this, Mary! I changed my mind about dropping the drama, knowing that Fu Yao remained stronghearted on the recent episodes. But I’ve temporarily placed this on hold for now. I’ll probably wait until this is completed, just to see if this is going to be happy ending. :))

I am skeptical about starting this drama. I’m worried that it might be too dark and shocking for my taste. Any warnings or triggers that I should watch out for?

Hey, thanks. I started watching this but got annoyed with James Lin. Is he the other guy in the love triangle? Because if yes, I don’t like him at all. I want to punch his face whenever he comes out in the screen. LOL.

Yes, it’s cringy. But I would have dropped this drama by now if Seo Joon and Min Young are not the leads. I think only the two of them can make these cringy scenes watchable and still swoony.
