maybe you are right , maybe they only did it to make the ending more dramatic , yet it didn't seem like the father was affected or regret it , I mean he led his own son to death penalty after all, which actually made me dislike him even more.

through the whole drama it was annoying watching hongbing doubting his son over and over again , but I remember him asking many times to be taken off the case but the higher ups refused and they were investigating hui either way and what he did was going to catch up to him sooner or later .

it was also weird when they were in battle against lord changxin and ML asked one of his generals to protect her , I mean this is a battlefield that general needs to protect himself first , why is she there in the first place if she can't fight 😅 and Also when she killed that general of sui army with two hits of his own weapon , somethings were exaggerated.
