Kim Young Cheol returned to KBS after a 3 year break from pretty much everything involving the media to film a 2-part documentary, "New Year's Special: Kim Young-chul Goes to the Global Korean People"(설 특집 글로벌 한인기행 김영철이 간다), which covers the success of Koreans in other countries. In particular, Part One covers chef Hwang Jeong-In in San Francisco, an executive chef who works in Michelin-starred restaurant Benu. Part Two covers anchor Hwang Jin-Yi in Argentina, the first Korean-American anchor of the main public news in Latin America. The two-part documentary aired on KBS1 on January 28th and 29th at 9:40 PM KST, respectively.
VODs of the recent two-part KBS1 documentary he recently did that aired around the end of January(via KBS) (only available if you're in Korea, unsure if a VPN can bypass it or if there are alternatives to watching it):
He is currently independent as of January 2025(on January 11th, he revealed on IG that he chose not to renew his contact with the company he was once affiliated with, Major9).

Inogashira(Yutaka's character) does gets into some crazy stuff too(crazy from the perspective of one that wants to enjoy a simple and peaceful break for New Year's) but overall? If you aren't wanting to watch solely because you aren't interested in watching a show of someone(mostly) eating and describing the experience of eating food, I'm not sure if I can recommend watching it. It is your call though.
Was a fun watch! Though I do like food quite a bit myself(not on the level of Yutaka's character though), so it probably played a factor in my experience watching this.
According to Jeon Hye Yeon, it'll release on January 15th, 2024.
There are also a number of places in Korea where it'll be screened(she'll also be attending the Indispace Screening and GV at January 18th 5:30 PM KST)
Bet Han Seok Kyu (Doubt) will win Baeksang Best Actor later this year.
Are you by any chance, referring to the "big boi" awards? The ones where more people in general care more because they're not like these ones where they're specific to one broadcaster?
Do they always wear all black? They do look handsome and beautiful as always.
This usually joyous event aired during the period of mourning (there was a major accident while a Jeju Air plane was preparing to land which resulted in the loss of 179 lives). As such, all the attendees wore black as a sign of mourning.
Said tragic accident was also the reason why the airing of the awards were delayed.
lol who actually gives a shit… it’s mostly censored anyway 🤡whiny little holier-than-thou netizens. he…
I will say that he should have at least waited until the mourning period had passed. Can't speak much on the other criticism, but I 100 percent think in the very least it shouldn't have been posted until the mourning period was over if he really wanted to post it.

Her agency posted on Instagram(4 days ago) the film receiving various awards at international film festivals(Paris Film Awards and London Movie Awards), plus the film is going to the Manhattan Film Festival!
If you were doubting the legitimacy of it before, no reason to doubt it now.
Remake of an American sitcom, Modern Family, that's existed from 2009-2020
It's on KBS2 but the number of episodes implies it's supposed to be in the weekend time slot(Sat-Sun)
Park Young Gyu(he's had quite a long career but it's been three years since his last project, not that long of a break but noticable)
Choi Ye Na(I mainly know about her as a singer, not so much about her as an actress. Plus it's been four years since her last drama, and her first one at that too.)
I'm going to be open minded about this, for now going to keeping an eye on this page, considering this is going to air somewhere around 2025, and the casting is obviously incomplete.
Unfortunately, I had a feeling today's episode was going to be cancelled when the impeachment process date of Acting President Han Duck Soo was announced, and sure enough, the official MBC IG confirms my thoughts!
Will that thing of partnership between Netflix and SBS happen for these dramas? I would be happy to see all these…
So far from what I know according to various articles, newer dramas from SBS will be available to stream on Netflix worldwide starting at the second half of 2025.
So it's still going to be quite a while before the newer dramas from the second half of 2025 drop, AND we don't know how they'll handle the ones expected to air prior to that.
Welcome back to yet another week of nothing burgers of articles! Obviously disappointed, but not surprised.
I was really hoping someone would have written a news article on Netflix's partnership with SBS planned in 2025, which would give Netflix rights to publish content from SBS's network. Not completely-drama related as it'll also push out variety shows(liberal, music, etc) but easily 500 times better than this article that provides zero value to the reader.
they both denied it “right away” according to the original source… so why this whole article? slow week?…
They could have written about Netflix and SBS's partnership planned for 2025 if the writer really needed something if it was a slow week(I know, not their thing, as it's not attention grabbing) but nah, has to be the usual nothing burger.

Reply in spoiler for more info.
Although, I'm surprised to hear that they ultimately decided to stick to the 50 episodes format. Wonder what the decision was behind that.
