The upcoming episode(September 6th) will be the last recording for Zico's Artist. As it stands right now I don't know if a new season along with a new MC have been announced yet.
I am today years old when I discovered that JPN also does daily running series. (Shouldn't be that shocked considering other countries do this as well lol)
Anyways, should I invest time into this? The format of daily running series isn't a foreign concept for me, but investing in one is an entirely different matter, especially when it's one that doesn't have legal streaming services in your area.
Can we pleaseeeeeeeeeee get a better pfp for this man..
I thought my eyes were just bad as hell. While the current one is nice, it is clearly a younger version of him that doesn't represent the current version of him.
Lee Sehee shared on Instagram a coffee truck from Yeon Woo Jin. Filming might be in progress(or starting soon) - Yeon Woo Jin also shared the coffee truck on his IG using the "Quiet Sales(in Hangul)" hashtag.
It will officially release as a regular show starting September 16!
Unfortunately, presumably due to scheduling conflicts, Yook Sung Jae will not be returning. TV personality and YouTube content creator Johnathan Yiombi will be taking his place.
Gonna go off topic for a moment here since the next KBS1 daily drama set to replace this one has been announced…
Main cast as follows: Park Hana(last appeared in KBS2's "Vengeance of the Bride" and "Drama Special: "Devil in the Lake" Park Sang Nam(last appearance in Drama Special 2023 - Behind the Shadows) Kim Sa Kwon(last appearance KBS2's "The Real Has Appeared") Lee Yeon Doo(last appearance Channel A's "Queen of Masks" as a cameo) Park Tam Hee(KBS1 's "Be My Dream Family") Lee Eun Hyung(last in KBS2's "Woman in a Veil")
Scriptwriter: Song Jeong Rim who wrote KBS2's "Vengeance of the Bride" script(essentially a reunion with Park Hana)
Gonna go off topic for a moment here since the next KBS1 daily drama set to replace this one has been announced via various articles(plus Park Hana shared it on her IG story!) Check reply(will be marked as spoiler to prevent long text taking over the comments)
Have any of you watched MBC variety show, "Brian the Clean Freak"(hosted by Brian Joo)? The upcoming episode, Seo Joon Young is supposed to guest there! (August 27 KST)
I wonder who is going to be part of the supporting cast? I saw actor Jung Heon(last project MBC's "Bittersweet Hell" post on his IG story a script for this drama.
But at least we could see more J-dramas on Netflix, rather than not getting very many because they're not translated!…
I'm assuming they're saying they'd rather Nexflix not invest money in the production of J-Dramas the same way it's done with K-Dramas, as the way Netflix does things as far as production is concerned, it would ruin what makes them appealing for them.
Well, FWIW, KBS America had a golden opportunity to sync it's broadcasts of this with the domestic feed, but no....instead…
I don't think KBS America was ever going to sync up with their domestic counterpart.
They always have their own system where the programs already aired domestically get aired internationally(on KBS World/America) weeks later(usually with subs, depending on the program).
If they did what you brought up and aired it at the same time, the program would be aired without subs(usually it takes a week or two for World/America to subtitle a program). Korea-Khitan War is a good example of this. Since it was a special project to commemorate 50 years of KBS, it was decided that it would air internationally via KBS World/America at the same date as domestically, but internationally it was aired raw, and subs did not come until two weeks later, in a different timeslot.
So in short? Syncing was never going to happen, and probably won't ever for the foreseeable future.
KBS family weekends are typically 50 episodes, I think that alone would have turned you off in a flash. It's only…
To each their own, but the episode format for KBS Weekend dramas and KBS/MBC dailies(100+ with each episode lasting 30 minutes) have always been very different. Really boils down to what format you'd rather watch in the end.
Not sure how I feel about a 36 episode drama of 80 minutes each episode. I'm so used to watching shorter dramas.
KBS family weekends are typically 50 episodes, I think that alone would have turned you off in a flash. It's only because of request of the screenwriter, Seo Sook Hyang, who typically does mini-series, that it got shortened to 36 episodes. Future KBS family weekend dramas after this one will air 30 episodes instead of 50.

Appearing on Shin Dong Yeob's YouTube channel along with actor Lee Si Eon!
(At the time I'm posting this, the video hasn't gone up yet, but will very soon[at 6 PM KST!])
