I loved this drama, its slow paced, but beautiful and emotional. One of my all time favourites.
I think it does have a happy ending, relatively anyway. The main character finally moves on after 17 years of pain. Aki still lives inside of him. Memories of her no longer bring pain but now happiness. She caused him to become a doctor, meet Kobayashi, stop Kobayashi from having an abortion, and now is the husband Kobayashi and the stepfather of her child. And all 3 of them are happy now.
Yeah, I noticed the romeo and juliet similarities in this one, especially with the romeo and juliet sumo part to remind me. But I've never seen/read Hamlet. I've got to do that soon lol. It's a shame I know. And I still need to see Crows Zero.

Ah, you decided on putted Hana Kimi in your favorites. It was in mine for a really long time. It's still one of my all time favorites. It's the only drama I've watched 3 times and still LOVE. I see you're watching Atashinchi no Danshi also. I loved that one too. Are you a Maki fan? She's going to be my wifey one day.

I just finished ep 8 of "Crying out Love..." I'm liking it a lot so far. Ep 7 had tears welling up in my eyes. It was during the scene when she tried to killer herself and he gave that speech about how that's not the Hirose that he knows. And then the part with the little boy. Oh and ep 8 was really good to. With the tape about the things he hates about her and his confession and the proposal and the kiss.
No I wasn't saying you rated it harshly. I'm talking about people with lots of 5's and 6's. And you can see what people rate drama by looking at their list.
But yeah, that's cool. How are you liking living in Japan?

You're welcome. Are you new to MDL? If so then, Welcome.
I see that you have rated most of the dramas you've seen as 8's. lol that's OK with me though. What I don't like is when people are harsh on their ratings.
I noticed your location says "Japan." Are you really in Japan? If so then, "Luckyyyyyy."
He's awesome. He's one of those interesting supporting actors. I liked him best in Boss and also in Loss Time Life, but he's been good in a lot of stuff.

Hey, we've got some stuff in common. I'm a guy, I like dramas, I love 1 liter of tears too, I plan to watch Crying out love..., I'm 25 and still look like a teenager (although it's not because of my height, it's more because of my braces). But yeah, hajimemashite.
Am I the only one who thinks that this drama started out good and then just turned into a sloppy mess?

Yeah, I was freaking out on the end of SOTS. I love it though. There's a SOTS reference in Love Shuffle. They're written by the same guy. He also wrote Pride and Bara No Nai Hanaya. Those are all my favorites.

lol yeah for a while it didn't seem like I was watching much then for the past week or 2 it seems like I've been watching a lot. That's just how it goes.
But yeah, I liked Shibasaki Kou in that movie. She's great in Galileo too. And her song Mukei Spirit is awesome too.
And I'll have to watch Memories of Matsuko soon, maybe Saturday. I'll probably watch the Kirishima Thing next though.
