I’m on episode 11, and I’m nervous about something. Can someone just give me a spoiler, either Yes or No. Does Wen Ning die? He’s so sweet, and his sister really seems to care about him, which is why I’m worried. If someone can tell me so I know to expect it or not. Thanks!
I kinda forgot how many episodes there were of this series and started watching it today. So far I’m only on ep 7, but I can’t stop watching it. The plot may have been confusing in the beginning, but by the third episode I caught up to everything I needed to know. If I had to describe this show in a few words, it would be, Pure, Beautiful, Breathtaking, and Incredible. I wish I could have started this show sooner, and knew ever since I read the synopsis that I wanted to watch this. But it wasn’t till I paid close attention that I realised this was basically a live action of one of my favourite novels and anime’s. I didn’t recognise the name, but as soon as I saw one of the other names was The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, I nearly screamed. Originally I was a little put off by the 50, 45 minute episodes, but it’s not like I haven’t watched shows that are longer than this. If I survived all 750 episodes of Naruto, I can survive anything!! : )
Not everyone knew it was going to be dark. There are TWO versions of this story and everyone was wondering which…
I originally found the full story on Wattpad, and when I heard about a series being made I saved the book to my reading list. Unfortunately it has already been taken down, but as I saved the book before it was taken down, I can still access it through the Wattpad app, which is how I can still read it. I know the Wattpad user Joell55 is currently uploading the story, but there is only around 7 chapters of that, and updates are very slow, but you could try that if you wanted to read it. Otherwise you could try buying the novel online, but even then I wouldn’t know where to find it. Sorry :(.

The different versions are to do with the ending. For example you have one ending which will be the darker one. I’m just about to start reading it, and I’m guessing the darker ending is Shin will commit suicide or something (I’m not 100% sure though, but after reading the comments that’s what I think). And the lighter ending will be just a nice happy ending where everyone is happy. In both versions Keng will rape Shin, because unfortunately that’s what the whole story was about. Now we are just waiting to see how the show will end, and I really hope it’s the happier ending.
Well. If I had to describe this show in 2 words, it would be depressing and dark. Peem was a horrible person and he got exactly what was coming to him. I felt so sorry for Min in the show, all she wanted is happiness and she never got it. I also felt kinda sorry for Jack too. He had to watch the person he loved marry, and sleep with someone else. In the end this drove him mad. I wish he had Bob had gotten together, and he could have redeemed himself, and that’s my main complaint about the show. But despite all the problems the show had, I don’t regret watch it at all, so that counts for something I guess.
Came across this while scrolling through Netflix. I was laughing throughout the whole film. I couldn’t stop watching it and as soon as I finished, I wanted to watch it all over again. All the characters were so funny, and unrealistic that I fell in love with them all, especially Little Princess. If you are considering watching this, I promise you won’t regret it. I think the plot was actually quite unique and different, but there was also something very familiar about it that made me drawn into the film. I would absolutely recommend this, it was fantastic!
I think that’s the point though. He’s supposed to be ill and sick a lot, because it raises questions as to…
He is very skinny, which is quite worrying, but I think I saw somewhere that he has a very fast metabolism, which means he probably would find it difficult to put on weight, which would explain why he’s so slim. But I honestly do think he’s really attractive the way he is, so I just hope he’s healthy and happy. <3
Just watched first episode and it seems quite uneven. I'm having a hard time believing Yu Xi Gu is at all attractive…
I think that’s the point though. He’s supposed to be ill and sick a lot, because it raises questions as to what’s wrong with him, and people are already speculating on Twitter from what I’ve seen. That also links into the personality factor, and from that lots of people think his parent is abusive (because we can see from the tags that one of them died), and pressure him to be the best, which is why he kept going on about needing the scholarship, and why he doesn’t have any friends, and focuses his time on studying. I personally think all the characters are really attractive, but don’t forget it’s only the first episode. Their story will keep growing as we find out more about the characters. Only time will tell, and although I’m pretty sure this won’t be as good as Trapped was, I’m still enjoying it regardless.
I understand you. But the rape was a whole part of the storyline, and happened to Type and also Tar when they…
Thank you! That’s exactly what I meant! Because of what Tharn did before, I feel like a lot of people don’t like him, and are trying to change the context and meaning behind his actions, to make them hostile, and seem like he is a bad person. Honestly I wasn’t particularly happy with some of the things he did previously, but I also don’t think it’s just Type that’s growing as a character. I also think that Tharn is learning that his actions do have consequences, and he’s become a lot more caring and considerate since Type’s episode. Honestly I think they are both good for each other. The imperfections and things that one of them lacks, the other one makes up for. I’m so excited to see them get together, and watch them grow and mature throughout the series! <3

If you’re talking about the shower scene, then it’s understandable. Of course people are going to find that scene hot, because Type WAS enjoying that. You could see it on his face. He didn’t even try to push Tharn away, and afterwards kept hoping that he would feel disgusted with what Tharn did, but he couldn’t. It’s because although he hasn’t exactly done the best stuff, Tharn is good for Type. He’s helping him realise he can’t blame an entire community for 1 gay mans messed up, disgusting and inhumane actions. And you can see a difference, even when the last scene happened and that gay guy basically groped him while taking a picture, you could see him trying to hold himself back from lashing out. Before he found out about Tharn, he would have snapped straight away, but instead he tried to hold himself back. Therefore I do think Tharn is good for Type. He took care of Type while he was ill and sick. If he was really a bad person, why didn’t he harass Type while he was sick and couldn’t fight back?
I completely understand why you think this, but honestly with the cheek kissing thing, I honestly didn’t see anything wrong with it. Kissing someone on the cheek doesn’t even need to be romantic, me and my friends kiss each other on the cheek and forehead all the time. I understand if you meant the first ep after Tharn gave Type a lovebite while he slept, because that was horrible. But truthfully I don’t think there was anything wrong with the cheek kiss, and even if I was in that situation I wouldn’t care that much, and I doubt many people would.
Also my comparison wasn’t between The Effect and TharnType, it was the comparison between the fans, and what they were saying afterwards.
This series should’ve been entitled “Harassment and Rape The Series”
I understand you. But the rape was a whole part of the storyline, and happened to Type and also Tar when they were younger, and shows how it’s still affecting them. In terms of harassment, the show didn’t exactly romanticise it. In ep 1 & 2 they made it clear Tharn was in the wrong. But 4 months past since episode 1, and they are slowly growing. In the most recent episode, despite what people may think, I wouldn’t say it was completely harassment. Yes, Tharn cornered Type in the shower, and I didn’t know how to feel at first. But as soon as Type relaxed and actually looked like he was enjoying it, I felt much better and enjoyed the scene too, which is probably what most fans did. If you want a show to complain about, The Effect would be a better choice, because that’s the show where fans are romanticising the ship where one of them raped the other. But honestly, TharnType doesn’t do that, which is something I really like about it.
Can someone explain what happened between him and Art I am just curious
It’s been over a year now. I’m sure that if Mew was really being accused of something he didn’t do then he would deny it. To be honest I think parts of it are definitely true. I do think Mew tried to kiss Art, got rejected, and acted out because of it. But I don’t believe when Art said that Mew was isolating him from all his friends to keep him all to himself, and I think Art exaggerated a lot of what he said, but as we haven’t heard Mews side of the story, I couldn’t say for sure.
Honestly, I get that Art was mad and upset with what Mew did, but that’s no excuse to publicly out him like that. There are so many ways he could have dealt with it, which is why a lot of people believe Art was seeking attention with his post, and even to this day he still gets a lot of hate because of i. I honestly believe they all should move on, it was a toxic situation all round and I think it’s better to just pretend it never happened.
It's the highest rated gmmtv series this year. You or a lot others might not like it but the fact that it got…
The rating on this website is only 7.7, which isn’t exactly the best, and I’ve only ever heard bad things about it. It doesn’t really matter about how high the rating is. I hated it, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, and the shows rating really isn’t going to change that.
I totally agree. I love 'fake relationship'-tropes. I watched Love Sick based on the trope, but the whole 'fake…
Same. I heard lots of people talking about Love Sick, and when I read into it I was really disappointed that the whole “Fake Boyfriend” wasn’t a key aspect of the series. It’s the same with My Tee and some other shows. From what I’ve seen in the trailer, this looks really promising, so I’m just gonna keep hoping it’s as good as what it looks like.
