I just finished the novel after trying to watch the series, and dropping it. I’m honestly really disappointed with it! The novel was incredible (aside from the rape), and was enjoyable and sweet. This was just a mess. They tried way too hard to make the characters straight, so while the actors perfectly looked the part, they weren’t able to act the part because of the awful script. Especially Gu Qing Pei, who wasn’t anything like the novel at all in terms of acting and interests. Yuan Yang was pretty much the same though, which was nice to see. I would recommend reading the novel instead, as long as you are okay with rape, sexual abuse, characters being assholes, and an unwanted love triangle. You can read it on Wattpad if you just type Beloved Enemy in it should come straight up. If anyone needs me to leave a link let me know.
Most of the episodes were average. But the first one was amazing. It’s so much better when you realise that these are all based on true stories, and it shows the impact of China’s homophobic views on gay people. Definitely very heart wrenching, and I nearly cried in 2 of the episodes. But definitely worthwhile watching. Even if you don’t enjoy them, it won’t even take you an hour to watch all 4 of these episodes. So just give it a go, and see what you think!
can you please enlighten me... what's with this gender switching and what happened towards the end of this gender…
If you watched the last episode Love puts on the VR goggles, but in the screen her female version appeared, which is how everyone found out she was actually female. So Tangmo does know that she’s a female. Also when her brother found out Love was his sister he took Love to tell their Mum what happened.

Okay. So my interpretation was that she stayed Male, because she used her wish to save Tangmo’s life. But they said that she had the opportunity to enroll in The Great Men Academy next year. So I’m guessing she will stay as a Male until the end of the second year, where she will try and win the competition and become The Greatest again, so she can wish to be a girl again.
*I tried to keep this as spoiler free as possible, but there are some hints to the change in plot* So originally I was put off watching this by some of the comments further down that said this was terrible. I eventually decided to give it a go, and now I’m really mad at the negative comments, because without them I could have started this incredible show sooner! I ranked it as a 9.5 but this easily could have been a 10/10 for me! Everything about this was so incredible. The best thing about it, was that we didn’t spend the entire series trying to find out who sent the letter. Half way through the series we found out, and it wasn’t anything special. The highlight of this show wasn’t the murderer, it was about the monsters that live inside of everyone. And whether or not we are born with evil inside of us, or whether we choose to be evil. The story was so well constructed, and their wasn’t a dull moment. I didn’t even have a problem with it being an old drama. The characters were so loveable, and the ending was perfect. Anyone that is also a fan of Thrillers, and serial killers should absolutely watch this!!!
Oh my god, this was sooooo good! It completely played with my emotions and I was in tears at the final episode. If you think this is going to be an easy love story with no drama then you are definitely mistaken. Their love was put to the test so many times, and it took so long for them to finally accept the love between them. The actors were perfect, and were amazing and playing their roles. Off was the perfect Khai, making us despise him at the beginning, but slowly fall in love and forgive his character. Gun was the perfect Third, showing how broken hearted he was, desperate for Khai to realise his feelings, and making us completely sympathetic to his feelings. Even White (Too), Mike (Bone), and Earth (An), were perfect for the roles they played. I was so satisfied with the ending, and the couples that got together. I wish it hadn’t dragged out as much as it did, but I still love it because it shows the ups and downs of love. I also love the constant movie references throughout the show. OffGun, you’ve done it again, you’ve made me fall in love with you 2 all over again!
I can't remember. In the novel, is it Beam/Forth that have sex first? I remember that in the novel Wayo and Pha…
Yeah. Beam and Forth have sex just before Kit and Ming officially get together as boyfriends, and are the first of all the couples to do it. Wayo and Pha had sex at the end of the 2nd novel, but I’m pretty sure Wayo was still in the first year, as pretty much all 3 of the novels are set in the first year, except the very end of the last novel.
I can’t find the official side story’s for Hao Mei and KO, but these are very popular one shot side story’s which you should read after you finish the novel instead:
i truly don’t understand why people are saying this drama is realistic lol. for me, it’s just as unrealistic…
To be honest I think it has moments that are realistic, and moments which aren’t. For example I love the fact that all the characters have their flaws, and rather than quickly changing and redeeming themselves, it takes a while for them to completely change. I think that’s much more realistic than the idea that someone can change in seconds. I also like that Rome only managed to move on after what Khai did in ep 6, despite saying many times previously he would move on, but never did. I think doing that shows how difficult it is from someone to move on from the person they loved, and every time he tried, he failed, until Khai completely broke his heart. Although it’s also very unrealistic, like the relationship between Bone and his teacher, and also all the movie references sometimes get a bit dull. I think overall, they didn’t just give us the typical cliche plots we have seen a million times by now. They made it different and unique, so the lead couple had to fight to be together till the end. So I definitely agree that at times it’s very unrealistic, but there are also moments that are realistic and genuine. (Sorry, I wrote much more than what I meant to write.)
This was SOO good, and really cute. As you can tell by the title, there will be 2 weddings at the end, and a funeral, so someone dies. I obviously won’t spoil who, but I will say you won’t expect who it is. The ending was so cute and adorable, and don’t worry. It may be an emotional film, but there is a happy ending! This is one of my favourite BL films because it keeps it so realistic, showing the struggles gay people have to face, and the discrimination. It has everything in it and more! I would absolutely recommend this for an emotional, funny, realistic rollercoaster of emotions!
Dude! That is fantastic and I hope it's true. My friend and I were actually talking about that recently; how you…
That was such a great analogy of it! I completely agree with you. There are so many actors that do such a great job no matter what role they play, and I think it makes them even more likeable when they can really get into the role of the character. It’s one of the reasons I love BLs when all the couples have great chemistry.

Same. I love watching characters from other series play a couple in a different series. I also love watching new shows that my favourite actors are in. A show called He’s coming to me, was my favourite example. This had the actor who played Frame in MIR, and the actor who played Kongpop in Sotus, and they were a couple in this show, and I was so excited about it. It’s a shame that the actor who plays Book in MIR hasn’t been in many new dramas, because I’d love to support him too!

Make it right was the first BL I ever watched so I often check on it to see if they would make another season. I had heard a rumour that the cast were together and that a season 3 was being considered, but unfortunately no news has been officially released other than what the cast has said or rumoured to happen. I think it will only be a short season though sadly.
