Episode 25 is where things started picking up. And to the folks saying ML & FL don't have romantic chemistry,…
nah i think their chemistry has been really good throughout :p

this is tons of fun!! it's really entertaining and interesting, and I think the lighthearted aspect really fits. also, the "romance" is lovely. i could high-key watch a million episodes of this

this was cliche and cringe in all the best ways!! :) but am i the only one who waited the entire series for Shi Ahn to find out about who Duk Mi really was (Shi Ahn is Life) only for it NOT TO HAPPEN!?!? i was just waiting for the reveal ??? anyone else??? but this was a ton of fun nonetheless

i feel like i always hear people asking about whether they should drop CT or not. from my experience, drop it if you're not hooked after watching a decent amount of the historical flashbacks. if you don't get hooked on that, you probs won't love CT. but if you do get hooked... you're in for a lovely ride. :)

someone pls tell me there aren't any love triangles
I absolutely abhor love triangles but this is my #1 drama if that helps. the second lead does like the girl as jasper said and while I think it does actually affect the story a lot, it doesn't take up screen time as the girl is true to the first lead. I only say it affects it a lot because of one decision he makes regarding her that I'd say is very important to the storyline. tbh you can just write it off as friendship if you're really turned off by it. don't let the love triangle deter you -- if that's the only reason why you're avoiding the drama, just go watch it :)

Hmm. I'm sure the writer emphasized the drug addict case.
yeah, same. it def made a deeper impression with it being his last scene. all in all, an awesome drama though! def in my top 3, probably sitting at #2 right now actually

However, it also does send a poor message — even when you try your hardest, it’s not enough. Though I do agree that it also warns people against starting drugs in the first place because it’s so hard to get out of it. But what if someone already deep into drugs watches this? It’s like telling them there’s no point in trying :(

Oh I for sure agree that it was realistic and a great lesson.

It was just sad to see, and he sort of disappeared after that episode and I just wanted to see him again even if it were to show him back in prison.

Same. I would rate this drama 10/10 if it wasn’t ruined by the female lead’s stupidity, pointless romance,…
This was the first k-drama I ever watched and I rewatched it recently and I couldn't agree more. The crime aspect and all the twists were so goddamn amazing for a majority of the show. Also, it was so gorgeous to look at with the blue/black vibes. Everything was just SO NICE (though I do agree the romance could have been better and honestly I chose to just ignore it sometimes). And then the ending just completely tore me apart (not because of the content) and I cried at the fact that they ruined it like that ;-; IT COULD'VE BEEN A MASTERPIECE (that's why I was torn apart)

Your first comment perfectly encapsulates the emotions I felt when I first watched the show and also during my rewatch. Let's all just agree that the last episode didn't exist. :)
