I'm not a French speaker but I think they could've dubbed those scenes. it was clearly a mess.

1- Cinematography is WOW
2- Art direction is superb.
3- Music is in another level
4- Acting is super good from the 2 main male actors.
5- NOTHING SCIENTIFIC ABOUT IT AT ALL!! A dead cat sync! really? Didn't he say in the 1st episode that syncing will work only on the same species?
6- It's a bit slow, could've made a good movie.

I put it on 2x speed, in my native language we speak fast, so Kdramas are a bit slow for me, besides most of the episodes can go easily 35-40 minutes long and we won't miss any necessary plots or events. So, you are not alone.

Coming to think of it, Yes you are right, it might be the guilt that was moving and motivating JW all a long. And may be this is the reason of his obsession with DS. Great perception too about the scene where DS asked JW if he killed his sister.
