What an awesome and gritty start. Some great acting already and a story that hints at interwoven and complex history between the characters. Multi-faceted characters such as these always make a drama interesting!

What you are seeing play out is the impact of his dream falling apart and the pressure this can put on someone…
It does seem that way. Unfortunately, he has to make these choices because he is in the world of politics (aka Game of Thrones) and is beginning to lose his grip as a master player in this realm. It happens even to the best political movers and shakers and is known as “failing to see the wood (forest) for the trees” (there are many well documented cases out there re this political phenomenon).

Plan B for him would be to actually listen to KSY and step back or actually resign and rise from the ashes at a later date. Not many people are wise enough to do this though. His resurrection in this instance would make Chief of Staff even more compelling.

Drama is fun to watch , fast paced and script is quite good, but there is big BUT..I am only one do not get main…
What you are seeing play out is the impact of his dream falling apart and the pressure this can put on someone when this happens. You start to make silly mistakes, make the wrong calls and even lose sight of what is important. It’s very realistic in this regard.

Ep 33 - has one of the funniest scenes I have ever scene and all done to Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You
On The Longest Day in Chang'an Jul 4, 2019
What an awesome, quality drama! As others have said: it is like watching an epic film. The attention to detail is second to none. The characterisations are so well done and the leads are playing that wonderful grizzled cynic vs the youthful idealist perfectly.

Sadly, for me, eps 8 & 9 were a huge disappointment. Where has my wonderful, different and thought provoking show about these amazing women gone?

Are there any romance in this season between Baek and Eun sol ? Or any other romance for Eun sol ?
Not directly. Sally, has her eyes set on Baek and Eun Sol finds that a bit intimidating - it’s handled quite well.

A quarter of the way through and we continue to have a very good show. Eun Ji (the grand daughter) is stealing the show with her crush on Dong Joo. Song Ah and Dong Joo are a great pairing as well. You have to admire Eun Suk’s determination and it’s good to see the grandfather playing a nice guy for once.

What I really liked about ep 11 was the use of younger adult actors to depict our lead couple in the flashbacks and not them trying to act as their younger selves. Also, the family bonding was simply beautiful.

Any side couples?
Yes, there are and they are quite good. A decent amount of time is devoted to them as well.
On Designated Survivor: 60 Days Jul 2, 2019
I thought the first episode was very good. In fact, I enjoyed it slightly more than the original version’s first episode. The scene setting was interesting - done in a way to show that not all is fair in “love and war”. If 60 Days continues in this vein, then we will have a classy political thriller on our hands.

Beautiful, heartwarming, but a tearjerker at the same time. Reminiscent of the Note Book. 9.5/10

The prevailing thought throughout this beautiful story: It takes two to become one. Not enough dramas are made like this anymore. Make sure you watch for the show stopper at the end.

I don’t know for other people but I l personally really like the relationship between Park Morgan and Bae Tae…
A great comment and thought provoking question. I liked their relationship up until eps 7 & 8. Now, I feel it has gotten in the way of what was a fabulous story between three professional, and very interesting, women. I felt that at the end of ep 8 Park Morgan needed to keep on walking and not look back, but I do get what the writers were trying to do with the final scene. Both our leads do need help. Bae Tae Mi is so clever and perceptive, but ethics for her is a matter dependent on what is happening on any given day. However, we are starting to see Scarlett’s conscience make an impact on BTM. Similarly, Park Morgan has yet to reach his full potential, but he does have that knack of making those around him think perhaps ethical behaviour is valid. At the end of the day, I feel the relationship between BTM and PM should be in the background and not the main focus. By the way, SGK’s mother-in-law is putting in a fine performance as the chairwoman. It’s so different from her role in 12 Nights.
On Angel's Last Mission: Love Jun 28, 2019
For me, Angel continues to shine. What an extraordinary show. That scene at the start of Ep 23 where our leads are back to their bickering best - it felt like the real thing. Then later on where Yeon Seo says to Dan come and help me plant the Canola seeds - her joyous expression was like a burst of sunshine. Finally, the writers have released the shackles on Dan’s character. I think he has a bit of magic yet to weave....

Episode 11 (21/22) was good, but also really disquieting for me. It had a darker aura. In my opinion, there's…
Yes, Ru Na is evil (or even possessed?). Her mum’s reaction to finding out the truth regarding her eldest daughter’s nature was very good I thought.

To me the issue re Dan is the way his character is written at the moment - they have dropped the ball a little bit. His reluctance to tell Yeon Seo the truth about himself despite knowing what may happen to him and also the matter re telling her the truth about her mobile phone etc are at odds with those more mature and compassionate moments he has, which I really like.
